The Antlers

We had a lovely holiday at the antlers, the house was well stocked for the number of people and it suited us perfectly.

We loved our stay at The Antlers - it was the perfect place for catching up with our family who live locally.

The house was spacious, warm and very well equipped. We loved the big table in the kitchen for our family dinners and the cosy lounge for chilling out. The bedrooms were all really comfortable and having multiple bathrooms was perfect. We would love to stay again.

We have stayed in this property a number of times and it is always our first choice when we stay in the area.

The house is spacious, clean, well laid out and all of the facilities are first rate. There is a free car park available near by and the house is well located for the local amenities and there are a number of restaurants within walking distance.

Great place to stay with 3 generations of family, clean and comfy.

Excellent location to go on beach days, trips to Edinburgh Fringe and sight seeing. Really relaxing stay

A couple of smaller saucepans wouldn’t hurt but not a deal breaker

We had a wonderful stay here at The Antlers.

I came for the week for some much needed R and R, and because it's not too far from home, invited family to come and go as they pleased to join me on walks or for a delicious curry next door! The house was clean and cosy, and perfectly situated in the town for everything we needed. LOVED having the co-op next door! A great location for walks in North Northumberland or exploring the lovely Border towns. Thank you for the delicious basket of goodies and for providing everything we needed for a perfect stay. I'd love to come back and would recommend to friends. Only improvement might be to provide wi-fi. I wasn't bothered as the 4g was excellent, but it would be useful for anyone needing to do any computer work.

Had a fantastic time without a doubt, we would go back, we went for my father in law's 90th birthday and all had a great time, we couldn't have asked for more, everything we needed and more was there, thank you very much

Fantastic stay at the Antlers for our family of 5.

The cottage felt very homely and was spotlessly clean with a very wide range of facilities. The location is also ideal within easy reach of Edinburgh and coastal areas with a shop next door, an excellent play park for the kids just across the road and a tasty Indian restaurant a few doors down. Welcome treats were an extra touch of class from our hosts who have been exceptionally helpful. Highly recommended and I'm sure we will be back.

While The Antlers was generally well appointed and very comfortable, there were a couple of things that would have made the stay even more complete.

In terms of the kitchen, some more teaspoons, bowls and a cafetiere would have been very handy. Other than that the kitchen had everything we needed. The other area where the cottage fell down was a lack of wifi. Not everyone is a BT customer these days & wifi has been a standard part of the offering in all the self catering cottages I've stayed over the last 10 years or so. The cottage was very clean throughout and although there's no parking directly outside, we always managed to find a spot either in the small car park nearby or on the street.

The Antlers is a brilliant property in a great location in Coldstream.

The property is really spacious and very well laid out with 4 big bedrooms and 2 of those are ensuite. A free car park is nearby and there is limited parking on the road. The owners left a welcome gift of some food and wine which was a really nice touch. We had a great stay and will definitely go back.

Lovely cottage in a wonderful location.

Really lovely place to stay, extremely clean comfortable and finishing touches are beautiful throughout.

Pictures actually do not do it justice to be honest it’s a lot bigger than it looks and the kitchen is more beautiful in real life. Plenty of everything for use glasses, cutlery, plates etc. Wee garden is a lovely touch if the weather is nice just to sit and have a drink really peaceful and quiet. The cottage is situated on the main road and parking is free either on or across the road which is fantastic. However it is a main road and can be busy with traffic and cars pulling up to park and use the shop/takeaways but it is nice to a see a busy town. As the cottage window is lower people cannot directly see in the window and with the windows closed you do not hear them it did not bother us however I can see how it could if you are fussy. The cottage is really handy for everything if you’ve had a long day you are 1 minute to any of the food places and the shop is next door. Would recommend :)

This property is absolutely beautiful every thing you need is there, the coop store is next door.

Had a little problem with the bathroom tap contacted the owner who had the plumber straight out to fix the problem. We all will be booking again if we have a family holiday on the Scottish Borders easy access to places to visit

We loved our stay at The Antlers, well cared for property, well stocked with all we needed, very comfortable, spacious rooms, and we were touched to receive some welcome goodies on arrival

Every thing we needed was at the property and the welcome hamper was a very nice touch from the owners .

All necesary information was in the folders in the property . It was very well organised with no issues at all . We would stay there again if we were in the area .

We had an excellent few nights and the property was really well appointed, we liked everything about it!

The size of the kitchen was really appealing and made for great family gatherings. It was really nice to arrive and find a hamper on the table, and there was plenty of towels etc. This place was also really well setup for children, there was a box of toys and DVDs. A high chair in the kitchen and children's cutlery too.

Well what can I say!

! The cottage was amazing from the minute we walked in the door, the owner had thought of everything. I can’t rate this cottage enough, it is beautiful and everything you can possibly think about has been thought about. Coldstream is a beautiful village with pubs, shops, restaurants, walks and more!! We had a wonderful week at the fantastic ANTLERS!!! X

An excellent home from home.

The antlers had everything we needed and was really well placed for everything we needed and wanted in the surrounding area. Really comfortable beds and sofas, brilliant space and a very well equipped kitchen. All of the extras and thoughtful touches were well appreciated and the home owners were very helpful and easy to get in touch with when needed. Would highly recommend The Antlers. Thank you.

We have stayed twice now in The Antler and enjoyed both times.

Its a lovely house and well looked after by the owners. We can see that continuing to improve from a very high starting point is very much their mindset and we have no hesitation to recommend the property for anyone wanting to stay there. Top marks all round.

The Antlers was a lovely place to stay Everything you would need is in the house including a very well equipped kitchen which was spotless Beds were really comfortable and the bathrooms (choice of three) were really good.

Coldstream was a bit quiet and could do with a couple more places to eat out but all the basics are there Ideally positioned for visiting Kelso, Berwick, Seahouses, Bamburgh etc and also Edinburgh is only 40-minutes away Definitely worth a look if you want to explore the Northumberland coast and the Scottish Boarders

The Antlers was so cosy, clean and welcoming.

Fantastic welcome package with sticky buns, wine etc along with toiletries etc. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. The location was great next to the shop and we coped with the parking situation with 2 limited- mobility members of our family. Thank you!

Would be better if more outdoor space at back was only 4 of us and felt it could have been bigger

The Antlers was spotlessly clean and had everything you needed , even radox for the bath and shower gel for the showers.

The welcome pack was a nice touch as were the fresh flowers , would certainly recommend.
