  • "Wow! This cottage is magical."

If you are looking for peace and tranquility then this is the place to stay. Attention to detail was magnificent and it was like home from home. The owners were so attentitive but at the same time were mindful that we were on holiday and didn’t want to be intrusive. We have already ranted and raved to friends and family and have no doubt that we will return in the future. Well done Susan and James on your beautiful hidden gem. Thank you. Paula & Dave

The hot tub and the views just add to the already excellent experience and the views . I would definitely recommend you try it . We do hope to go again at some point in thd future .

Thank you so much for the lovely review. The views are really stunning at this time of year. We've just sown a wildflower meadow mix in the field in front of the hot tub, so all being well there should be even more to look at next year! A good excuse for a return trip! Thank you for being great guests and hopefully we'll see you back again soon! Kind Regards Susan and James Property Owner

  • "Beautiful cottage with great views and landscaped garden."

Very comfortable accommodation and all you need for a great stay. Great base for exploring local castles and historical houses and the wonderful coast. As an open water swimmer I had loads of choice for swims but can highly recommend Bamburgh beach, Druridge Bay and Cresswell, plus further north Yellowcraig, Chesil and Seacliff. Chillingham Castle, Cragside fantastic.

Hi Mark Thank you so much for your kind review. We can't believe how much you packed into your trip! Thanks for the recommendations for sea swimming, when we are feeling brave we might check them out! It was a pleasure having you stay with us, and we hope you'll be back for another action packed adventure soon! Kind Regards Susan and James Property Owner

  • "Had such a lovely time at this cottage."

It was exactly what we were looking for. The guide the owners provided prior to arriving gave us the advanced warning to local facilities (roughly 10mins in car) and very accurate description on how to get there as sat nav in the car didn’t find the property initially. Hot tub was amazing. So peaceful. Loved looking out for the owls and adding to the wildlife journal. If you are up for it there are books in the cottage which provide some local information on sites for walks but for us it was purely about relaxation. Owners kept in touch to make sure we didn’t need hot tub water topped up. And the cittage itself is so well equipped that you have washing machine and tumbled dryer to help avoid the mounting of washing on the return home.

Thank you for your lovely review, and choosing to book with us. We're so glad you had such a relaxing peaceful time. and thank you for being the first to write in our wildlife log! The swallows are one of our favourite things about summer here. We very much hope to see you again in the future. Property Owner
