Great clean and comfortable - ground floor apartment.

Well equipped, very safe parking and great friendly neighbours. The Scottish borders area is excellent, nice towns and FREE parking - the speed cameras are SAFETY cameras in this area not money making devices like we have.

A lovely, comfortable and cosy flat.

Everything was laid on and clear instructions on how to use appliances etc. Lots of local information, events and places to go. I loved the close proximity to Queen Mary's Gardens. I would highly recommend this flat and will definitely stay there again.

This is our second visit to this property.

Quiet, convenient location for exploring the borders. The property is very clean and comfortable and we really appreciated the milk and teacakes which were kindly left - lovely treat after a long journey. Blessed with great weather, we were able to take our evening coffee and books along to Queen Marys Garden (a few meters along the road) for a relaxing read at the end of a long day walking. I always form my opinions of a property on how well equipped the kitchen is.

Well this one is very impressive. It was like being in my own kitchen. The rest of the apartment was very good too. The bed is excellent. It's very well located for the facilities of Jedburgh but so quiet. My one gripe, which I have for 99% of the places I've stayed in is the lack of instructions for the cooker & microwave. It was pure luck getting them work

3rd year in this lovely accommodation everything you need is provided and so close to the mains areas of Jedburgh and great bus service to other towns I highly recommend you book this accommodation you won't be disappointed

Well equipped ground floor apartment and well situated in the lovely town of Jedburgh with easy access to the local amenities and the surrounding towns with lots of historical buildings to visit

My husband and I have stayed at the apartment in Jedburgh about 3 times already,and have thoroughly enjoyed all of our stays there.

It is very clean and comfortable, a real home from home, and we felt very relaxed,just what we needed after quite a few months of ill health for both of us,but this holiday really perked us up! Thank you so much,Oh and a big thank you to Nicola,who works really hard to keep everything spick and span!

. The apartment was nicely furnished and perfect for the two of us. Jedburgh is a lovely town and the apartment is very central.

The location was perfect for the holiday I'd planned, and the flat was spacious, comfortable and extremely well-appointed: nothing missing at all.

I did feel the owners had gone a couple of steps further than many do. If you want a base to explore the Scottish Borders, I don't think you can do better than this.

Nice enough ground floor apartment.

Not much noise from neighbours. The curtains and blinds are a bit tricky to open and close. Could do with some new hooks for the blind openers. I left the curtains open because it was too much hassle to close them at night. Kitchen/Bathroom/Lounge/Bedroom all perfectly fine. Not far from bus station/shops/takeaways/pubs. So easy to visit Gala/Melrose/Kelso/Hawick without your car. Jedburgh's a nice little town. I had a good time.

Lovely apartment, larger than expected.

Ideally located close to the High Street and good base for exploring the Scottish Borders. Well equipped and very comfortable. We had lovely weather, so despite their being no outdoor space, we grabbed our evening 'drinks' and popped along the road to sit outside the gorgeous Queen Marys House garden!!. Already planning our next trip to this beautiful area of the country, and will definitely be hoping we have an opportunity to stay in this porperty again. Thank You

The property was warm and cosy with an extensive range of equipment and appliances. It's location created an ideal base for getting out and about. The town of Jedburgh is a gem of historical associations and has plenty of amenities including shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Overall a really great place to stay.

The flat was comfortable and well equipped and in an ideal position to visit places of interest within a short drive away.

Visit to the Abbey, Castle Jail and Mary Queen of Scots House are well worth a visit. Also ideally situated to leave the car behind and do many walks from Jedburgh. If we came back to Jedburgh we would not hesitate to book up the flat again as you could not get anything better and the parking was a bonus.

Nice little place really close to the centre - Jedburgh's not a noisy place.

Easiest to park round the back through the arch. Close to a load of local attractions in Melrose/Galshiels/Peebles/Kelso. Some nice local walks - go to the Info Hub and get a map book for £2

Second visit to Queen Mary's Building and wouldn't hesitate in booking again, the apartment is spotless clean and with everything you need .

It is also in a great location with minutes to the town centre and a great base for visiting the borders area.

Extremely comfortable, particularly the bed. Great location; quiet, plenty of parking and minutes from everything Jedburgh has to offer.

Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to leave after two nights.

However I would like to say this was our third stay in property and it won't be the last . It is comfortable centrally located and ideally situated for touring the area .

Great place to stay, had a lovely time, very homely and great location for us to explore the borders of Scotland/ England.

Clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped apartment.

Ideal size for 2 people. In a quiet location, but so close to all town centre shops and restaurants. Private off street parking is a bonus too. Plenty of attractions and local walks. We spent a long weekend here and didn’t need to use the car at all. Would definitely recommend to others and hope to return again.

Everything was well stocked: cookware, dishes etc.

Our only quibble was there were no silicone utensils available for the non-stick frying pan. The decor, bedding, and towels were beautifully stylish and we were very comfortable staying there. The location couldn't be better; very quiet yet right in the middle of everything.

Brilliant apartment in a great location for touring the “Borders”.

It was warm, clean and well equipped with private parking behind the building. I was very impressed with the efficiency of the owners. The integrated oven wouldn’t heat up so I called Nicola and she was with us within a few minutes. She couldn’t get it to work either so she spoke to the owner who ordered a new one and had it installed very quickly. She was very apologetic and offered to treat us to a “takeaway “ on the evening the oven wasn’t working. Would definitely recommend and we’ll be back again in the future.

An excellent location with easy walks round Jedburgh and either short trips in a car or good bus links.

Clean with all the facilities you could need. Unfortunately, for us when I booked we chose twin beds, but this had been changed by the time we stayed, so sleeping was a problem for me, which did impact on our enjoyment.

Great location in a lovely town full of historic buildings. Fantastic big comfy bed, easy parking, lovely park a couple of houses away, Handy Co-op a couple of minutes walk. Loads of stunning countryside and places to visit all around.

Lovely property right in the centre of Jedburgh, which is a lovely town.

Lots to see and do, and plenty of walks from the doorstep. Plenty of places to eat locally, and a very good Co-op just around the corner. Would particularly recommend Taj Tandoori for food and Harestanes for a walk.

The flat was very comfortable spacious and clean and plenty of parking space.

The property was only 2 minutes walk on to the high street. We would stay again when we revisit Jedburgh.

It had everything we needed and was really close to the town centre and amenities.

The accommodation was comfortable and spacious with a warm glow from the fire making it feel really cosy.

The kitchen was well equipped and host was thoughtful providing tea coffee and sugar and a bottle of milk for your arrival. It was a very nice place to stay and relax.

A very comfortable stay the property it is very conveniently situated for both the town and local area.

I was just a little confused about rubbish disposal and recycling it appears to be any bin without a number and no sign of recycling just not what I'm used to.

Very comfortable bed, great shower. For being the ground floor flat, is still well insulated and hardly hearing any noise from upstairs accommodations. Good parking at the rear and most times you can also park right in front of the door on the main road. Will certainly stay again when in the area.

A most enjoyable week in our accommodation, facilities were excellent everything you needed was supplied.

Accommodation was in a very quiet street but so close to all the shops bars etc also the added bonus of private parking.Would highly recommend the house to anyone wishing to stay in Jedburgh.

Very well equipped ground floor flat with interesting design features such as the curtains.

Plenty of parking close to the town centre and attractions. Jedburgh is a delightful town and a good base to reach other places of interest. We would be happy to stay here again.

Being able to walk to the local shops and tourist sites was a gift as was having parking space.

Another absolutely lovely cottage.

Great location. A few doors away from the Mary Queen of Scots House and a shirt walk from the jail and museum. Both amazing and worth a visit, free admission, just make a donation. Some lovely places to eat and a few little nice pubs. The cottage itself is lovely, cosy, warm and well equipped. The bed was gorgeous and comfortable, lovely shower. We had contact with the owner who was very helpful and nothing was a bother. The parking is safe, lovely grass area outside the cottage where I exercised daily. Would definitely recommend and will return.

I love staying at No 3, it might not be the absolute height of luxury, but it's all you could ask for at the price point, and location is ideal.

Also that bed is the most comfortable bed I've slept in anywhere! Hope fully able to visit again.

We have had a lovely time in the cottage it is a perfect little hideaway and so central for everything.

The house does have everything you need for your stay and is lovely and warm,  and I would happily recommend it with the caveat of the bed as unfortunately the mattresses are now past the best and need replacing  

A great wee flat

Second time I stayed in apartment as lovely and cosy for 1/2 people.

Shops and restaurants close by and lovely little town. Flat has everything you need and off-road free parking is also great. Will definitely be back as wonderful area to explore border region.

Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Everything was just perfect.

Situated close to all amenities and within half hour drive from other Border towns.

This is a lovely flat in the heart of the village.

You can literally walk to everything. Queen Mary's House is right next door, the Jail Museum and the Abbey are right near by. I would recommend booking if you're driving as public transportation to and from Jedburgh can be a bit challenging with bus schedules. Also if you have mobility issues like I do (I use a cane for walking) this ground floor flat is a good choice.

The apartment was ideally located for the town and also for access to roads for days out.

The place was well-equipped, clean and very comfortable. We had everything we needed to make for a most enjoyable and relaxing holiday.

Not really, it's a nice little property, which could use a little updating I suppose, but it's priced very competitively, and that's what I'm attracted to.

Accommodation comfortable and soooo quiet !

Let down a little by poorly ventilated bathroom. Private car/bike park good. Supermarket only 150 yards away. Recommend you try Abbey Take-Away fish and chips.

We were very pleased with the flat.

Very clean, comfortable and well looked after. The equipment and fixtures were as described and suited us fine. Due to the covid restrictions some attractions and eating places were closed or restricted. Best to phone and check before you go. You may have to book. This area of the Scottish Borders is a great place to tour about. The bed deserves a special mention very comfortable. The T.V. operated simply by pressing the buttons on the controller. The WiFi code is on the back of the rooter which is behind the TV. The rooter does not lift fully out. We took a photo of the code on our phone. Could also be done by one person calling out the number and the other writing it down. The local CO OP shop is a big one and has a wide range of goods. Enjoyed our stay. Mrs. Craig August 2021

It was a good base for exploring the Borders

The accommodation was perfect and in a great position to make the most of the great walking and facilities in Jedburgh.

I was disappointed that I had to pay £6 for the pleasure of having to ring Sykes Cottages because it was last minute, even though I was very happy to book and pay online.

This delightful and very comfortable flat is in an excellent location, just minutes from the high street in Jedburgh.

We found that it had everything we needed, it is well-appointed and felt just like home, Despite being so central, it is very quiet and the parking is excellent. Jedburgh is a lovely town with a great selection of eateries, much to see and is the perfect place for exploring the Scottish Borders. Wonderful! We had a great time and will stay here again!!

Due to covid restrictions tha abbey,castle and Mary Queen of Scots house were all closed to visitors,which was unfortunate.

We had a great time visiting Kelso, Melrose, Hawick and enjoyed Jedburgh also. It is always a great experience to enjoy a Sykes cottage property.

The owners made available a lot of paperwork about the local area.

Since the Tourist Information Office was shut, this store of information was invaluable. I particularly liked the book about the Waterloo Monument and we were able to enjoy the local countryside by using the file of carefully mapped walks.

Very spacious flat could easily live there.

You can visit plenty of places all within 1 hour drive stopped 1 wk but only saw half of it

The home is in a great central location for Jedburgh and is a pleasant and comfortable flat.

The rooms are a good size and nice and bright.

Approach was strange, between white vans at the opening of a very tight alley lined with dustbins.

Initial impressions were negative, especially on opening the front door to be greeted by a horrible stink emanating from the bathroom. This smell srayed with us for the whole stay. The owner's housekeeper did what she could, but it reduced rather than eliminated the smell. We bought disinfectant and used it twice daily to try to get rid of / mask the smell. The property was generally clean enough, but the bathroom had a lot of black mould or dirt along the bottom of the skirting and in the joints of the floor tiles. The pipework behind the washbasin and to the side of the toilet was filthy - had not been cleaned in months (years?). The dishwasher broke down with a full load of dirty crockery. The instructions for the wifi were hidden behind a curtain and there was no provision for recycling.

Good communication with the owner.

Flat was very convenient with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We would definitely return. A good base for visiting other border towns.

The cottage was very handy to the town within walking distance.

It could have been cleaner in areas. It would have been helpful if few toiletries in bathroom ie more than one toilet roll etc etc. Parking was very handy. Otherwise good cottage for a couple.

This is our 3rd visit and again was everything we wanted.

This flat is extremely comfortable and is so close to the town for shopping and walking. It is ideal for a couple. Very clean and tidy and well presented. The bed is very comfortable and with a walk-in shower is great if you are a little disabled as all on the lower floor with no steps, although would be too small if in a wheelchair. Would highly recommend.

They should have had a written description of how to get the wifi and use the tv.

We had to call the caretaker out to rectify both. Even she had difficulties. Otherwise, it was a lovely week. Close to the town centre. Not too far from main attractions in the Borders. The Kelpies were the highlight I must say.

Great location. First holiday I’ve felt ‘at home’. Warm,comfortable, had almost everything you could want. So easy. Owners were fantastic! Negatives- Could be cleaner. No bathmat, take your own or use the hand towel and could do with an extra dishwasher tablet but these are minor things. I’d definitely stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you!

No, it is a good flat in a central area for the Scottish Borders.

The flat itself is at the back of the town so access to the stores etc: is exceptionally convenient.

We were totally delighted with our Flat, the size, the cleanliness, the location, all that was provided ie toiletries, tea bags, milk etc.

You certainly go that extra mile to ensure you're guests are comfortable and satisfied. Both my partner and I agreed that we had never felt so sad to be leaving a holiday. Very central, which was excellent, as we were there (though we didn't know till we got there) for the Jedburgh Callant festival, so were able to stroll along to watch!

Accommodation was exactly what we had hoped for to enjoy a quiet relaxing holiday in the Borders.

Each day gave us the option of either enjoying the excellent local facilities and attractions or having a drive deeper into Scotland. A friendly community in a lovely part of the world.

We really enjoyed our holiday at this apartment as it was clean, comfortable and quiet.

The living space and bedroom were larger than we had expected and well furnished. Off-street parking and a washing machine made life easy, as did the modern supermarket and various shops just around the corner. Jedburgh is a charming town from which to explore the many delights of the surrounding area.

Very clean and comfortable!

Our second visit to the property, and we will be back! Everything is provided, and in good condition. The bed is the best one we have ever slept in! It is so comfortable-it’s untrue! Jedburgh itself has a few good places to visit, the best being the Castle Jail. Free to use, but worth a donation. Same with Queen Mary ‘s House. Only problem is they both have lots of steep stairs! Okay if you don’t have any problems. Would certainly recommend a visit to Jedburgh and the Borders area!

The only irritating thing about my stay was the sound of renovation/decoration from the flat immediately above No3, which seemed to be going on interminably through the day and quite late into the evening.

Obviously, this has nothing to do with the owners of No3, but it could give rise, I imagine, to complaints from people more sensitive than I am to this sort of noise. Didn't spoil my stay, and the apartment was otherwise excellent value, considering it's location.
