Description
Town Yetholm 4.4 miles.
Briar Cottage is a charming Victorian cottage settled into the countryside of Mindrum, near Town Yetholm, the Scottish Borders, so explore Northumberland with this family holiday home.
Upon arrival, be captivated by a picturesque stone cottage, with a border of shrubs and climbing plants framing the windows and adding a pop of colour, a truly beautiful feature of this property.
Be welcomed into a homely sitting area, with a woodburning stove warming your feet from a traditional fireplace, a great spot to relax in an evening and enjoy a good book.
The kitchen/diner has contemporary furniture and cheerful yellow walls, as well as all of the home-from-home amenities needed for you to cook up a storm, which can be served on the dining table.
Two homely bedrooms can be found, a double and a twin, as well as a bathroom, making this property ideal for a family, and there is a wonderful enclosed garden to the rear of the property where alfresco dining can be enjoyed.
Mindrum is a rural location resting beside the Scottish Borders, with plenty of local walks, bridal paths and the options of cycling and fishing in the local area, and from here you can reach a lot of local attractions, however for a pub lunch or a convenience store, head over to the town of Town Yetholm.
From here it is easy to visit picturesque walks in the hilly countryside of Westnewton, or head over to the coast and spend a day at the beach at Tweedmouth.
This property is a great base for touring the Scottish Borders and North Northumberland with its Heritage Coastline and National Park.
Fall in love with the countryside of Northumberland with a stay at Briar Cottage.

What guests are saying
Briar Cottage is a charming rustic home from home, set in beautiful northumbrian countryside.
Excellent dog friendly garden. Easy parking for two cars if required. Close to historic Norham and Flodden plus the Heatherslaw Light Railway, which our young grandson thoroughly enjoyed.
Nice location, quiet and peaceful with lovely countryside views, just what we wanted Nice bathroom and kitchen, open fire for those chilly evenings.
Comfy beds. Large enclosed garden with table and chairs, perfect for our dog to potter about in. Lots of areas of interest to visit short drives away. NEGATIVES the sofas are past their best and very low, difficult and often painful to get up off them. And carpets throughout need replacing.
A lovely cozy cottage our 3 dogs really enjoyed the large garden.
It is equi distance to explore places of interest. Spittal beach is great near Berwick.we explored places in Northumberland inc Alnwick Seahouses and Bambrough. Also Eyemouth St Abbs Tourness Longformacus Berwick Duns and Cove in the Borders. The only downsides on cottage carpet up stairs needs replacing as very worn other then that was great. We had a great week away hope to return at some point.
