  • "I forgot to write in the visitor book."

    The cottage was very cosy and warm, bed super comfy and the kitchen had everything including any gadgets you would need on holiday. There are great walks from the door step along the riverside and through the village. The pubs are both dog friendly and takeaway available if you would rather stay home.

  • "Beautiful cottage in a lovely friendly village."

    Very comfy bed, soft fluffy towels, very well equipped kitchen with lots of storage space, fresh flowers & a lovely welcome basket with delicious homemade marmalade & doggy treats. Sarah, the owner, popped in to see us to check everything was OK. We would definitely recommend this cottage for a lovely relaxing holiday.

  • "On arrival Dromore Cottage was immediately seen to be very clean and tidy and equipped to a high standard and our host Sarah had left a comprehensive welcome pack, which got our holiday off to a good start."

    The cottage is in a great location in the village and very comfortable. The local information provided was clear and comprehensive and it was clear from the visitors book that previous visitors have had a similar positive experience. I found nothing I could find fault with during the week and we are already looking at a return visit in 2026

  • "What a wonderful gem of a cottage it was everything that we hoped for and more."

    very nice to meet Sarah such a lovely lady and we received a nice welcome gift with her homemade marmalade that was delicious , it was very clean and comfortable and much bigger than it looks. the surrounding area is fabulous lots of beautiful walks and friendly locals, the small village shop is very well stocked and a very nice butchers shop too, there is also a bakery shop all just a few minuets walk and 2 dog friendly pubs serving nice food . we highly recommend this place if you are looking for a relaxing peaceful break

    It had everything you could want, from comfy beds and sofas, good selection of tv channels, well equipped kitchen and a thoughtful welcome pack. We spoke to the owner a couple of times. Very pleasant and helpful. We would definitely recommend Dromore Cottage

Dromore Cottage is a charming stone built property situated in the historic village of Norham, Northumberland.

Berwick-upon-Tweed 7 miles.

The historic village of Norham is most famous for its splendid Norman Castle ruins overlooking the River Tweed, painted by Turner in 1845. The village has an excellent butcher and bakery, a Post Office, grocer, newsagent and two pubs. Also nearby in the village of Allanton is a great restaurant, suitable for fishing and shooting parties as well as the Cross Inn at Paxton. Berwick-upon-Tweed is just 7 miles away, at the northern tip of Northumberland’s beautiful Heritage Coast, boasting many restaurants, cafes, pubs and a nearby links golf course. The Scottish capital of Edinburgh or the city of Newcastle are easily accessed by train from Berwick. A superb base for exploring all North Northumberland has to offer.
