"We had a great week at Lodge 32."
The lodge was very comfortable, just as we expected from the photos, the arcade machine went down well with my teenage son and the hot tub was lovely to relax in each day.
The woods just next to the lodge were ideal for morning and evening dog walks.

"We, had several problems for the amount we paid for 1 week."
Problem with tv and broadband all week,
Both toilet seats broken, fridge needed defrosting no instructions how to use oven, it had been switched off at the mains and we didn’t see the plug in the pan cupboard, although the owner did send the house keeper up to look at the oven and the handy man the day after to look at the toilet seats and tv, we still had the problem all week with it not holding any of the channels and needed resetting all the time. In desperate need of a coat of emulsion, black marks all over the walls and what looked like brush strokes of a lighter colour emulsion where someone had tried to cover up some of the marks.

"We loved the lodge, it was very comfortable and we particularly liked the robes and slippers you provided."
It was also kind of you to provide washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and washing machine tablets. It was good to also have a few bits like salt and pepper and cooking oil and the welcome gift. The only thing missing and would have been greatly appreciated was a couple of sunloungers as we like to soak up the sun when we had it.

"Excellent facilities and location."
As per previous feedback from other users, the cistern in the on suite needs looking at as does the shower, but not major issues just a note for the maintenance teams. Would definitely recommend

"Had the loveliest time at Lodge 32."
Would highly recommend to anyone. The Lodge was clean, comfortable and warm. Hot tub was fantastic. Plenty space for everyone. First night we had a super takeaway from the Happy Valley Chinese in Bellingham. Second night went to the Percy Arms in Otterburn (dog friendly) and had a fantastic meal. Other nights we had meals in the Lodge. The kitchen had everything we needed. Lots of wine glasses!! Will definitely book again for another time.

"The ensuite wc needs a replacement siphon it dose not flush properly the shower needs a replacement seal on the fixed head as it sprays out,the hot tub lights don't switch on, and the hot tub when sat in it blows cold water not hot at you."

"Enjoyed our stay at Lodge 32."
The site it is on was quiet and peaceful and well cared for.
If you've read other reviews about the toilet not flushing this is operator error, just jab the large flush button with your thumb and keep it there until the cistern empties.
Hot tub was nice, staff arrive every morning to clean and treat it, nice folk. Ask them to tune the tub to your liking.
The shop in the village “Border Reiver” was very good and staff helpful, as was the Otterburn Mill Cafe and Shop.
Nearest fuel station was Bellingham (Jet) or at Thropton (Shell), so arrive fuelled up unless you are venturing out and about.
The Coach House on site was not open during our stay, so arrive expecting to self cater. They have no chef at the moment (but this is not the responsibility of Lodge 32).
If you are old folk like us the low furniture and beds are a tad difficult to get out of, not a criticism just a note for older guests.

"This is Lovely lodge in an idyllic spot ."
The hot was fabulous and kept the teenagers occupied and surprisingly the space invaders was a hit with us adults .
Everything was supplied. Lodge was so spacious and comfy.
Just a couple of tiny things . Rack in oven was loose so I didn’t use it and toilet flush in en suite was very hit and Miss which I read before so really needs addressing but didn’t spoil it one bit
Would definitely go back
Pub could do with opening a couple more days as was only Friday /Saturday but not a problem as we just enjoyed the lodge so much

"Fantastic lodge, very comfortable and beautifully presented."
Very clean and quiet and had everything you need to enjoy your stay. Bit of a disappointment though that the Coach house only opened Friday & Saturday so we missed out on going, would have been nice to have a local pub on site. There is an excellent Indian takeaway (ReeZees) in Bellingham if you didn't want to cook. Only down point was en-suite didn't flush properly and the 1 dying pan was tiny. All in all I would recommend 100% if you want a quiet break.

Requires a couple of things doing slip mats for inside bath and shower, Oven is passed it's best, A parasol for outside shade at table and chairs and on a personal note from us old folk only, The beds are style over substance they are to low and the headboard wings make it difficult to reach the bedside wall lights other than that lovely lodge and hot tub, Area is very scenic a little secluded though

The decor and finishing touches were great. Would definitely return if visiting the area and would recommend to others. The owners have thought of everything. 10 out of 10 for The Leafy Retreat.

"Had lovely relaxing stay."
Plenty of room for us 4 adults and a toddler. Had everything we needed. Just a couple of small things, there were hand soap dispensers in both bathrooms which were empty also paintwork on wall near dining table could do with a refresh lots of marks, spoils the otherwise lovely lodge.

"Loved the lodge and the outdoor space."
Beds were very comfortable, slippers and gowns were a lovely touch. It was very hot during our stay and we found the hottub far too warm. Even in Winter I feel it would have been too hot for me. This is just a minor point though and we loved our stay. The games and Space Invaders gave us hours of fun. We hope to return at some point and have fallen in love with Northumberland.
