Fantastic week in Spring Cottage.

Property had everything we could possibly need and more. Really appreciated the welcome pack. Made full use of the garden and barbecue. We stay in a lot of cottages around the Uk and this was one of the best. Very dog friendly. The road outside is noisy with farm traffic/ skip lorries but it didn't affect our stay. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

Fabulous cottage with amazing views the owner really thought of everything so well equipped even a food mixer if you wanted to do some baking.

Beds were comfortable kitchen decor beautiful as was the sitting room. Very clean and smelt amazing luxurious diffusers everywhere in the cottage huge walk in shower couldn’t fault a thing. Met the owner and her lovely daughter when we were leaving we are going back in october for a weekend stay. Luckily the weather was amazing spent time in the huge garden as well as a vist to Cocklawburn beach just what we needed.

Spring Cottage was a lovely cosy place to base ourselves for exploring the area.

Very nicely appointed and everything we needed for a home from home feel. The outdoor space was great with lovely views of the countryside all round and safe for the dog. Communication with the owner was very easy and the welcome pack was an added bonus. I would happily recommend the cottage for a stay.

Lovely and very cosy has everything you need provided for your comfort .One of the best we have ever stayed in and will return.

The cottage was lovely with plenty of room and a beautiful garden.

Bedding was of high quality. Only downside was extremely poor water pressure but the electric shower was great.

Well presented cottage, quiet location with great enclosed garden for dogs.

Easy access to attractions , gardens and walks. Good wifi and comfortable beds and living space. Nice welcome pack and rural views.

Cottage was welcoming, warm and very comfortable.

Host left lots of goodies which was very kind and cottage was spotless. lots of information about things to do and where to go. No complaints from us, the cottage had everything and more than anyone could need. Would recommend. Thank you so much for a great mid week break.

What a cottage this is.

Brilliant place to stay and check out the local area. Garden was great for both the dog playing and for us sitting out having a cuppa at any time of day. Cottage itself was just beautiful with everything you could think of and more to make it a relaxing weekend. Would highly recommend for a weekend or longer.

Such a lovely cottage to stay in, in a rural setting.

We had everything we needed, a real home from home. Spring Cottage was spacious and warm. The beds were very comfortable, lovely lounge to relax in and fully equipped kitchen. Lovely garden perfect for star gazing. Plenty of places to visit and explore both on the Scottish borders, towards Edinburgh and Northumberland. We have already book for next year.

Perfect location for sightseeing around the Borders area.

Cottage had every amenity you could wish for. Very clean, warm and well equipped. Huge enclosed garden for our dog. On a clear night the stars were unbelievable (should be given Dark Sky status). Never had any problems at all. Look forward to booking again in the future.

Spring Cottage is beautifully cosy and very spacious, everything you might need in the kitchen for cooking, lovely comfortable beds and plentiful bedding.

Spotlessly clean. Perfectly situated for exploring the quiet areas of Northumberland or for zooming off along the A1. Milk ready in the fridge and extra goodies including tasty Border biscuits await the visitor. Lovely hot shower, spacious bathroom and easy parking right outside. Gorgeous views from the garden behind over open fields for miles - sunsets to die for! The cottage felt really homely and we were reluctant to leave! Thanks so much!

I'll start with the positives.

The towels and linen were of high quality and the massive bed was very comfortable. Large towel for the dog was appreciated. Great TV and fairly comfortable lounge. A good shower. The garden was well kept and secure for pets. Parking both front and rear was good. The bread, milk etc was a nice touch. Nothing majorly wrong with the cottage but a little attention to detail would have improved this rating. The microwave shows signs of rust as does the washing machine. The machine could do with being freshened up as it had a damp smell and the rubber seal was badly stained. When we first entered the house there was a musty smell which could have been avoided had the diffusers been replenished. The hot water pressure in the bathroom was abysmal and it took an age to fill the wash hand basin. That said we had an enjoyable week and the cottage is ideally situated for exploring the Borders.

Property was great and the welcome pack was greatly appreciated.

Lovely garden which our dog absolutely loved and so did we. Firstly the property is not in Chirnside as shown on photo and not near a co-op or Chinese or pub. The one drawback was that directly across from the property there is a skip and plant hire which from 6-30am till 8-9pm in the evening it was non stop with skip lorries and farming machinery going in and out regularly.

A lovely clean, comfortable and well equipped cottage.

A good base to explore the surrounding area. The secure garden was ideal for our Otterhound, Bracken. The electric shower provided little water volume but the walk in cubicle was good. The listing should mention the steep steps from the garden to the property.

Great cottage, our dogs loved the garden, we were able to use the garden everyday with them.

The size and comfort of the cottage is fantastic and all the equipment you need is in the kitchen. Great place to stay nice and quiet would love to return at some point.

Such a lovely little house with everything you need - a real home from home. We had day trips to Edinburgh, Bamburgh, Craster, and Eyemouth. Such a beautiful area with lots to see and do. The folders in the kitchen were full of useful info, and we really appreciated the welcome pack - thanks :)

Wonderful well equipped cottage, great location in small quiet village with short drive to Berwick.

Cottage had everything you could need and was homely and comfortable.

We had a fantastic time here, wanted for nothing.

Peace and quite.great outside space for the dog and us to have a bbq. Great. We all slept well especially me in the massive bed, loved it.

We had a lovely weeks stay at Spring Cottage.

Cottage was to a high standard of everything like cleanliness and fixtures and fittings!! We had a incident with the bathroom door handle which was rectified straight away by the owner. The garden and surrounding fields were brilliant for the dogs!! They especially liked the little dog next door!! There is a lack of storage in the double room but part from that the stay was perfect!!! We will definitely be back!!!

The property was clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped.

There are few immediate facilities in the village but we were aware of this on booking and everything you could need is only a short drive away. Excellent location for those wishing to explore the surrounding areas. The secure, enclosed, rear garden area great for those with four legged companions. Would go again.

Absolutely beautiful and comfortable this cottage is all you need and more it has everything u need from cooking utensils night lights it just feels like home I would highly recommend

A lovely comfortable and homely property in a very quiet location.

The property is very well equipped and has an enclosed back garden with a lovely view of countryside We really enjoyed our stay, thank you. Only a village shop so you do have to drive for more facilities but not too far away. Berwick is the closest town. There are lovely beaches at Berwick(Spittal beach) and Eyemouth. It was lovely as nowhere was crowded and everyone very friendly :-)

Bungalow was lovely, home from home.

Double bedroom could have done with a chest of drawers or wardrobe as nowhere to put clothes, however king size room has masses of storage. Garden is beautiful but gazebo needs a little attention, inner roof material hanging down. Small community shop at end of village which was very handy although limited in what it stocks and opening hours.

Spring Cottage was the perfect holiday home.

It really felt like a home from home, was very comfortable and so well equipped. Also a friendly wee village and a great location to visit wonderful places nearby. The garden was ideal for my dog also, and the accommodation was accessible for my elderly mother. We will be back.

Was disappointed there were no treats for the dog,felt like it wasn`t dog friendly as too many rules for the dog.

The kelvinator leaked water,twice? and there was a bad small in the bathroom,one toilet roll to used for one week for two adults ?? .This property needs alot of T.L.C inside and out.

Very comfortable cottage, feeling like a home with the personalised kids stuff.

Had all we needed. Only slight annoyance was the toilet seat moving ever time you sat on it, but I made a comment in the suggestion book. Good base for a few days away with decent,secure garden for the dog and lots of fields out the back. Just a shame it was too windy to sit out.

What a wonderful stay we had at spring cottage!

We ended up staying for an extra five nights because we felt so at home and comfortable! The dog loved the garden. The kids loved their rooms as did I. We all loved the big telly in the living room, but most of all we loved the quality of the mattresses. It's not often a mattress is up to my needs, I usually leave a holiday let early and in pain because I need a good quality mattress to sleep on, but not at spring cottage! Every room had a great mattress so we all slept like babies and had such a wonderful and restful holiday. The dining table in the kitchen allowed us to have sit down meals and we all really enjoyed that. A big thanks to our host Vicky who was so very kind and accommodating. We had a great holiday and we look forward to returning some day. I would recommend this property.

We had a lovely time at Spring Cottage.

It was cosy, tastefully furnished and decorated beautifully for Christmas, which was a delight to see when we opened the cottage door on arrival. Beds were very comfortable, with lovely festive bedding. The welcome basket was a delightful surprise too! Everything we could wish for for a comfortable stay was provided. The few 'niggles' we had were: Bulbs not working in some of the main lights, and lamps; Heater didn't work in the double bedroom; Outside drain kept blocking. However these issues in no way affected the enjoyment of our stay at the cottage, and we would be happy to return. We used to live in the Scottish Borders, about 20 miles from Whitsome, and it was so nice to be back in the area. Going forward into Spring, I think the garden would benefit from some attention, and a tidy up. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much.

The location combined the tranquillity of village life and walks with the close proximity of Berwick and Eyemouth just a short car ride away 4. The reassurance that Vicky, the owner lived local and if you needed anything she was at the other end of the phone. We had an absolutely lovely week at Spring Cottage.

We were lucky with the weather so got to sit out in the beautiful garden (watch out for the wasps tho!). And the bed was the comfiest I’ve ever slept it! The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and the welcome pack of goodies was a lovely touch - thank you! The house was clean and comfy and felt like a real home from home. It’s only a 15 minute drive to the supermarket to do a big shop. Gorgeous beach at Eyemouth close by, and all the gorgeous Northumberland coast not too much further away - we went to Bamburgh castle which is well worth a visit, and went on a boat trip from Seahouses and saw lots of grey seals! We had a day trip to Edinburgh too - gorgeous city - it was the fringe and tattoo that day so really busy and lots of street entertainment. I’d save your money and do Bamburgh rather than Edinburgh castle though. Would definitely recommend Spring cottage.

Had a really relaxing holiday

The cottage was absolutely gorgeous and was in a stunning location.

Everything was immaculate and so comfortable. The owner was on hand for any information during the week but left us with privacy in the cottage. I would recommend the cottage to all. If i was pushed to find a negativeould of been lovely if the garden furniture had been cleaned.

A real credit to the owners. We all slept so well, as the bedrooms were quiet & comfortable. There was nothing we needed, as it had everything and more! The garden was also spacious, and really safe for our little dogs.

Would like to stop longer

The cottage was one of the best we've had.

Very warm and comfortable. Amazing equipment in the kitchen. We were particularly impressed with the extra large bath towels (very few cottages provide these), the large airer and the spacious kitchen. The on street parking was fine, no problems getting a space outside the cottage. As a base it was excellent to visit many places on the coast and we also enjoyed the local villages. We enjoyed the quietness of the roads around the the rolling countryside. Thank you.

Really nice comfortable and welcoming property.

Everything there that is needed. Other than the shower having less water pressure than we are used to we could not fault this cottage. We were at the property in February so did not get a chance to use the garden but it looks like it would be great to enjoy some warm weather in.

A beautiful cottage tastefully furnished and fitted to a high standard.

It was perfect for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We have had a fabulous holiday until being falsely accused of dog urine marks on the through carpet which we noticed upon arrival and assumed that these marks had already been dealt with by the cleaners after the last occupants We have stayed six times in cottages within a year and once in spring cottage with both our border collies with no issues whatsoever We are both extremely upset by this false accusation and are more than happy to provide urine samples from both our dogs.

The property was in Whitsome rather than Duns where we thought we were going.

The cottage itself was lovely and had everything we needed but was more remote than we expected. Location is not an issue if you know you are not near any amenities and take that into account when booking

Very cosy cottage everything you want for a perfect stay.

A very clean cottage, bathroom just needs a reverb.

Plenty of toys to keep children occupied when staying(even though I didn’t take any). An extremely well catered kitchen with everything that you possibly need for cooking. Books and games to keep everyone happy.

Some lighting in the garden would be useful and instructions for heater under gazebo canopy would be good, other than a lovely property with friendly neighbours.

The cottage is immaculate and has everything you need for a comfortable holiday. The welcome pack was a very nice surprise too. We have 3 children and they loved it, we also had the joys of a teething toddler so due to this all three beds were used at separate times by everyone & we are pleased to report they are all lovely and comfy. We are familiar with the area as we have family in Duns and Burnmouth, the cottage is the perfect base to explore both Northumberland and the Boarders. We can’t wait to return. What a lovely cottage.

Very well appointed and extremely clean. A lot of effort has been made to make this a home from home.

An extremely well equipped, comfortable and clean cottage with pretty much all essential items provided.

The cottage owner is a lovely lady and very attentive. The only thing I would have liked was a more plentiful supply of really hot water for baths.

My husband and I and our dog Jett had a great week at Spring Cottage.

Situated in a small village with fields to the back we just loved it especially the walks around the fields first thing in the morning, beautiful sunrises and wildlife. The cottage is a great base for travelling to beaches and other villages around the borders. The cottage had everything we needed like a home from home, we will definitely be back.

Superb 'Tardis' of a cottage.

Much bigger than even the description and pictures give it credit for. Immediately felt like a home rather than a rental. Very well cleaned and great facilities. The only item I would have liked (given the regular weather in that part of the world) was a tumble dryer for clothes, but that's a nice to have, not an essential. Having said that, I would happily sacrifice a dishwasher for a tumble dryer! Location is perfect for those wanting to be a in quite rural spot, yet only 10 miles from Berwick, which has all facilities. Great location also for coastal spots such as Seahouse, Bamburgh, Eyemouth and St Abbs. Even in reasonable distance of Edinburgh for a day trip. We would be delighted to return at some point in the future and would have no hesitation in recommending the property.

What a fabulous cottage to stay in.

We were contacted early on the Saturday and invited to go to the cottage early, which we did. On entering the Cottage we were more than pleasantly surprised, The children were so impressed with all the games that were there and the adults were more than pleased with the cleanliness and the equipment that was on site, Even down to small torches in every bedroom, The layout of the cottage was perfect and every use has been made with all the rooms. The children had their own bedrooms and were over the moon with them. The welcome pack was the icing on the cake and contained very thing needed for the first day, including a very pleasant bottle of Pinot white wine, As the week progressed we became more and more impressed and by the end of the week no one in the family wanted to leave. This cottage is a credit to the owner and I would recommend anyone to go there if they can, we will try and book again, A huge thank you to the owner for providing such beautiful accommodation.

Super clean cottage, smelled beautiful as we opened the door, which for a dog friendly cottage was unexpected.

The enclosed garden was perfect, dog walks from the back gate. Super comfortable beds and literally everything you could ever need was provided, including a lovely welcome basket. Really cannot fault it at all, well done!
