Couldn't fault anything. The cottage immaculate and situated in a lovely village and accessible to so many interesting places of interest ..Sue(owner) couldn't have been more helpful in ensuring our stay would be comfortable, leaving a very generous welcome pack. ...

Couldn't fault anything. The cottage immaculate and situated in a lovely village and accessible to so many interesting places of interest ..Sue(owner) couldn't have been more helpful in ensuring our stay would be comfortable, leaving a very generous welcome pack. Lovely walks from the cottage...river and coastal rambles... Alnwick approx 3 miles away.Warkworth,Bamburgh Castle, Seahouses and other popular places nearby. We enjoyed tasty meals in Alnmouth which offered quite a few good eating places. We walked which took us approx 30 mins but would only be 10 mins drive. Would we return?? definitely, this is one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in.

The property

Alnmouth 2 miles.

Rose Cottage is a charming, traditional 19th Century stone-built cottage, set right in the heart of the picturesque village of Lesbury, near Alnmouth.

Ideally located for discovering the Heritage Coastline, Rose Cottage is just the perfect place for a gorgeous restful base to explore the stunning County of Northumberland.

There are some wonderful walks right from your front gate, either picking up the banks of the River Aln, where you can meander along to the fabulous Aln Estuary and Alnmouth beach.

Alternatively, you can walk in the opposite direction, picking up the picking up the disused railway line, taking in the magnificent local landscape and the beautiful ‘18 arches’ viaduct, as you head towards Alnwick.

The local wildlife is amazing, you can regularly see an abundance of birds depending on the seasons.

Beautifully furnished to a high standard throughout, Rose cottage has two delightful bedrooms, one double and one single.

The bright, airy yet restful ground floor sitting room of Rose Cottage has a lovely dining area, perfect to sit down to dinner or cosy up near the instant fire!

There is a lovely modern, well equipped kitchen, thoughtfully planned to accommodate your needs.

To the rear of Rose Cottage is a small quaint courtyard/garden, with a small herb garden providing rosemary for your lamb chops, or mint for your Pimms!

A perfect spot where you can soak of the Northumberland sunshine, with a cuppa, or perhaps a glass of wine, and enjoy the birds singing in the trees.

The pretty village of Lesbury has a popular pub and Post Office and is within walking distance of Alnmouth's station, very convenient for non-drivers, with Newcastle approx 30 minutes and Edinburgh just over an hour away.

Two miles East of your Lesbury cottage is the stunning coastline, with Alnmouth village and the castles of Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh and Warkworth all just a short drive away, with some fantastic coastal walks.

Alnwick Castle and gardens are just a ten-minute drive away.

Two excellent golf courses are nearby and Almouth has an array of excellent pubs, shops and tea rooms serving good quality food and beverages.

Rose Cottage is perfect for your Northumberland break at any time of the year.

Rose and Jasmine Cottages (property reference 950086) are next door to each other, and can be booked together, and together they sleep up to 7 people, to provide the perfect family holiday, or holiday with friends!
