  • "We stayed at Alnbank for a week, with the dog, It is in a perfect location just off the main street and only a very short walk to the beach."

    It was very clean, all the mod cons you could ask for. The kitchen was a lot bigger than we expected and the bathroom heated floor was very nice. Will definitely look to stay again in up in that area again.

  • "We enjoyed our stay at Alnbank, which was nice and clean."

    The kitchen would benefit from a few more utensils, e.g. tongs, additional frying pans, baking trays and a new oven as the dials were worn off and the oven linings were very loose. The double bed was very creaky and the mattresses were very thin on all the beds. Overall we enjoyed our stay and with a few improvements it would be great.

  • "Alnbank is a home from home property."

    Very comfortable, everything provided that you could possibly need. Very comprehensive instructions for appliances etc. very close to the beach and local amenities. Close to station and bus stops. Would definitely stay here again.

  • "We generally really liked and enjoyed the property, especially as it was only two minutes from the beach, so handy for dog walking."

    It was pleasantly and comfortably decorated and furnished, and well equipped. Our only criticisms/suggestions, which were very minor, would be the re-decoration of the shared entrance hall, the provision of decorative garden lighting for the rear terrace, the provision of more than one loo roll, and perhaps the provision of a kitchen roll. And finally, we must mention the locals...Wonderfully friendly and approachable!

  • "The Yard and garden furniture was dirty and unkempt."

    The kitchen was dated,needed a good clean and Makeover. The oven grill did not work and the set points on the controls were unreadable.Parking was quite tight and we did not get a permit from the owner.On a whole I not feel it was worth the money we spend staying there. We have payed less for a better standard of accommodation at peak times in Northumberland.

Please understand that with such a tight changeover and the property being so popular and busy, trying to keep the back yard and furniture perfectly clean is a challenge! I hope you recall that I did call you and explained about the parking permit and about the grill.   • "Clean, comfy, well equipped apartment."

    Unfortunately there was a problem with the heating system so certain areas were very cold. The owner contacted us and arranged for a heating engineer to call and was clearly concerned and very apologetic about the problem. Extra fan heaters in the property so managed to heat the necessary areas. The open plan kitchen/living area was well equipped, good shower in the bathroom, parking permit for outside the property, close proximity to the beach and Main Street.

  • "We had a lovely stay in your delightful apartment."

    The parking permit was very much appreciated. Lovely and clean. At times a little chilly especially in the sitting room. But then again it was January. The mattress on the double bed could be better, crisp white sheets and a choice of pillows would be perfect.. Perhaps a shaving point in the bathroom. All in all a very lovely apartment would definately stay again

    It was very warm and welcoming and we very soon felt at home. It was well equipped and we appreciated both bath and excellent shower which also served as a drying area on the very wet day.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday.
