  • "Some instructions for the hob would be useful."

Storage shelf in the bathroom would be handy, there is nowhere to put your toiletries. We were a bit put off by the number of flies in the property, we killed 75! They are possibly getting down the chimney so maybe a better seal is required.

  • "The cottage is perfect inside and is in a good location for beautiful beaches and walks."

Thanks to the owner for the treats. They were appreciated. My trip was spoiled initially by the parking situation. I managed to get the car into the narrow lane behind the row of cottages but could not manoeuvre it out again. The neighbour on the end eventually moved her car in the evening and I then parked in the one remaining space in the car park opposite. Extremely stressful. Apart from this we had a great time!

  • "We enjoyed our (all too short!"

) stay in Cosy Cottage which was the perfect base from which to enjoy and explore all the Northumbrian coast has to offer. The accommodation is beautifully presented and has everything you could wish for. It was spotlessly clean and perfectly appointed - the welcome gift basket was a very thoughtful touch. Just a short note of caution - the listing mentions off road car-parking at the rear but access is very tight and the bay isn’t really suitable as a car-parking space. That said, there’s a free, well-lit public car park across the road (visible from Cosy Cottage) which is only 90 seconds walk - so not inconvenient but perhaps worth clarifying on the listing.

  • "Family of 4, we enjoyed our stay in cosy cottage."

Accurately described, clean, ideal location for exploring Amble on foot, and Northumberland by car. Convenient car parking in the free car park across the road. Two great fish restaurants at the harbour. Amble itself was busy but not overcrowded.

  • "This property is listed as having a parking space."

It is one of the reasons that we chose it. However, the space behind the cottage is not big enough to fit a car. When I checked the visitor book - it appears that people have been complaining about this for well over a year if not longer. This property should NOT be advertised with a parking space for car. It was disappointing because otherwise the property was lovely and all facilities were great.

  • "A lovely little cottage."

Had everything we needed for a short break. Lovely welcome basket for us and the dog. Close to amenities and the sea, so we didn't have to use the car every day. Parking wasn't an issue as we parked in the carpark at the back of Bluebell Inn and the small lawn at the front was fenced off so the dog was safe. Really relaxing break thankyou.

  • "Lovely house with very comfy beds, nice facilities and excellent shower."

Great base for heading out to explore beautiful Northumberland. Only down side was the carparking at the back was a bit tight for me as I'm not a very confident driver. Found parking on a neighbouring street no problem, plenty of space.

  • "A lovely home, with everything you need to make your stay as easy as possible."

Be aware that the parking spot is not suitable for any family sized car, but parking is available just across the road (don’t be put off by this)! Communication from the owners was excellent. Location great for exploring the coastline. Would recommend and would look to return should we be holidaying again near there.

  • "Had a lovely stay at cosy cottage."

Lovely and clean, in a great location easily walkable for Amble and for checking out nearby towns and beaches. The owners were quick to help out with any issues too. A couple of minor points (neither of which would stop me booking again) The car parking space was not easy to use. If you've got a small car and are good at parallel parking then you'll be OK. The parking opposite behind the Blue Bell is fine for up to 72hrs then you need a break of 6 hours before you go back. Always managed to get a space, but not guaranteed. Lovely small private garden to the front, but not enclosed. A factor to consider if you have dogs.

The property was exactly as we expected and we thought it was good value for money Here are a couple of suggestions on improvements that we think will make the house even better 1) a bedside light in the second bedroom would be useful 2) the sofas in the living room are not that comfortable when sitting for more than an hour 3) the mattresses are a bit basic Otherwise we had a great stay Many thanks

  • "Cosy cottage lives up to it's name and is actually more spacious than it appears in the photos."

It was well equipped and clean. The only thing missing for me was a hairdryer. When we identified the car parking we realised it would only take a very small car and was only usable when the neighbour didn't have her washing out. Lucky we found a space across the road behind The Blue Bell.

The parking said a small parking space but it was impossible to park at the side of the property so we parked at the pub next door who were very accommodating. That would be useful to mention to renters I think . Loved the welcome pack esp dog things , when you bring dogs we always careful to respect the house we always bring our own blankets for them to lie on . Great stay thanks again .

The ‘cottage’ character maintained with some nice touches e.g. lighting. Shops and pubs easy to access we were lucky enough to be able to park next door at the Wellwood Arms as long as we used their facility which was very useful and the staff very pleasant and welcoming. The dogs settled in well and we found several different quick walks from Cosy Cottage as well as so many beach walks by car.
