• "We had an enjoyable stay."

  It's a small property, but perfect for two people. Comfortable, and in walking distance from the beach and amenities. All facilities were in working order, and the shower is wonderful. The only thing missing was an iron and an ironing board.

• "We were under the impression that the property had a washing machine as this was pictured in the listing."

  As we have a 5 month old baby this would have been useful bit when we arrived at the property we were disappointed to see the washing machine was replaced with a dishwasher. However, we made it work and it didn't spoil the holiday.

• "Lovely base for exploring Northumberland."

  The accommodation itself is small but this suited us as a family of 3 and a doggo. It is well equipped with kitchen utensils and also plastic for use outside. As well as entertainment options like board games, jigsaws, TV, dominoes, cards and dice games (although bits missing from these but our 3 year old enjoyed sorting the dice and cards regardless). Even a couple of books there for kids and adults. Small front enclosed garden perfect for the dog late at night. Beds are comfy and kiddo loved sleeping in the top bunk in his little room. They also had night lights which was helpful in the night getting to the toilet. Nice touch. There were a couple of star blankets in the bunk bed room which had black dog hair all over. We had one day of really high winds and you could feel the wind blowing thru the gaps around the front door but not an issue for us going in June/July but maybe cold if you go in the winter months. Not a complaint but just an FYI...! Birds are awake at around 4am so unless you enjoy being woken at that time you should take some ear plugs as they sing you a lovely song! :) Pros: * Beautifully clean living spaces/bathroom * Nice welcome pack on arrival with coffee tea and biscuits as well as washing up bits. Also some extra toilet roll left, always appreciated! * Kid friendly * Enclosed garden * Quick walk to the beach if you go around the back of the accommodation and cut through * Owners response to messages were timely, polite and friendly. Cons: * No washing machine (although photos on the listing shows one, this has been replaced with a dishwasher) * A few broken decor things on arrival (which owner was unaware of) Suggestions: * Little fold up step available for kids * Better description of how to get to the accommodation as Google maps does not take you to the door, rather takes you to a different place. You have to enter into the car park and the accomm is just through the car park. * Bath mat * Black out curtain liner in bedrooms * Clear instructions for heating and towel rail. Towel rail was red hot on arrival. Overall a we had a lovely stay here. We would return if staying for a week but not longer. Was a bit disappointed there was no washing machine (although it is in photos, it is not mentioned in the listing details so an oversight on my part on booking too) as with a kid always good option to have. • "We were looking for a place for just the two of us where we could walk with our little dog, Flo, for miles along a dog friendly beach every day and that is exactly what we found at this comfortable, cosy and well equipped little bungalow."

  Everything we could possible need was provided. After a long day exploring and enjoying an evening meal in one of the local restaurants we could return for a hot shower and a relaxing evening, one of the few places we have stayed where the tv actually worked with a good selection of channels and also free Wi-Fi. The thoughtful welcome pack was appreciated. Hopefully we will be able to return again soon.

• "No problems with the accommodation."

  WiFi was listed as being available, but it wasn’t connected, and we had to pay nearly £20 to get this through EE. I feel this should be stated on the property listing. The directions on how to find the house were vague, as it was not on the street. It would be better to say to go into the car park, which has house numbers marked on the wall. The property is at the end of the car park, and we had difficulty finding it.

  I am sorry you found the property difficult to locate. There is WiFi in the property. The unit is behind the TV with the password upon it. As you are the first guests who have raised this as an issue I will make sure the WiFi code is easily accessible. Thank you for your feedback. Property Owner

• "Lovely place and a nice."

  Near to everything. Beach was a short walk. Seahouses was only a 3/4 hour walk away. And what a lovely walk a long it is. The bungalow was lovely and clean on arrival catered for all our needs area was very quiet. For us though we found it a little on the small size. But we got by. Thanks for a great week in Beadnell.

• "This property has a comfortable bed, we slept well, and a well equipped kitchen."

  In the bathroom the electric shower was a bonus. Location wise, the property is a short stroll from dining options and Beadnell beach. Internally, the property is smaller than it appeared online and we had issues getting the hot water to work so without it until 10pm on the first night. The owner is getting the thermostat checked as we had to put it on override to get hot water. We could have done without the faffing on the first night. The internal door from the hall to the lounge does not fit the frame meaning that without the heating on, it was draughty. Overall, ok for a short stay but the property needs upgrading in our opinion.

• "The property was cold, damp and drafty, and way below the normal standard for northumbria coast and country cottages."

  Unfortunately I couldn't recommend this property to anyone.

  I am sorry this holiday was obviously not for you. I checked the property the day before you arrived and the day after your departure. I could not find fault with the cleanliness indeed cleaners are arranged by Northumbria Coast and Country! In addition the property has double glazing and there is 8kw of heating available to cover less than 300square feet of floor space! The property did not feel damp nor cold the day after you had left and the heated towel rail in the bathroom was on! Property Owner

• "Lovely accommodation in a quiet location."

  Spotlessly clean with everything you need. Small garden ideal for the dog. Great location 5 mins walk from beach and nice pub. Quiet village, a mile to larger village of Seahouses. Thr propert is very well located for coast walks, castles, Hadrians Wall and all the the area has to offer.
