  • "Very pleased with the accommodation."

    Exactly as listed and exactly what we needed. Some fantastic extras such as the welcome pack that just added to the overall experience. Certainly made a very good first impression. The location is great, with walks and the beach not far away. The village has a great community feel. The local shop sells almost everything, the Craster pub was buzzing and had live music on whilst we were there and the bus routes are frequent and serve most spots you would visit, meaning you don’t have to drive everywhere. Overall very pleased and would definitely recommend.

  • "We had an amazing week at North Sands."

    The bungalow was lovely and was spotless, bed and bedding was super comfy. The beach was so nice and we enjoyed spending time there with our little dog who loved it. Handy too for going to other places . We had a relaxing peaceful week just what we needed. Would definitely recommend.

  • "I spent a lovely week at North Sands with my French Bulldog."

    The bungalow was very nicely presented and well equipped. Joanne, the owner, contacted me on checking in day to say I could access the property early which was much appreciated. She had also left a lovely welcome pack. My car was not even used during the week as walks on beautiful Beadnell beach and around the village were sufficient for us. Lovely relaxing week

North Sands is tucked away in the peaceful fishing village of Beadnell, boasting an enviable position along the magnificent Northumbrian Coast AONB.

With its close proximity to the beautiful Beadnell Bay and great access across Northumberland and beyond, this holiday accommodation is the ideal place for a couple seeking a romantic retreat in a wonderful seaside location.

After a busy day of exploring, look forward to returning to the warmth of the bungalow, which boasts a contemporary-styled open-plan living room, where you and your partner can unwind for the evening.

Here, you and your partner can cook up a storm in the sleek kitchen, compete with quality appliances and a modern breakfast bar, where you can perch with a glass of something as dinner simmers on the hob.

Afterwards, snuggle up on the spacious sofa, making a superb spot for getting lost within a good book or flicking through the channels of the 55'' Smart TV.

Today, Beadnell is a peaceful harbour village, however it was once an important fishing village and a notorious smuggler's haven, so be sure to brush up on the local history before visiting the local beach, which is popular for all kinds of watersports, ranging from surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, sailing and scuba diving, or for simply lazing on the sands and leisurely walks.

Explore the Northumberland Heritage Coastline, which stretches out over 40 miles from Amble to the Scottish Border, so you are certain to find a plethora of walking and cycling opportunities, amidst breath-taking scenery here.

Pay a visit the nearby village of Seahouses, where you can hop on board a boat to discover the National Trust owned Farne Islands, where you will find 43,000 pairs of puffin and a medieval chapel and Victorian lighthouse.

Alternatively, take the car to explore the historic town of Alnwick, with the iconic Alnwick Castle taking pride of place and its garden housing the world’s largest Treehouse restaurant.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
