  • "Beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting we all enjoyed our stay, and would hope to come back."

  • "A lovely house in an excellent seaside position."

Waking up to the sea view was amazing. House situated in a great location for walks, beach access, shopping and dining. There was plenty of crockery, cutlery and pans. Would definitely recommend. I would add an additional fridge in utility rather than a freezer as we were running out of fridge space to cool wine and beers. The right oven door did not close properly so needs fixing. Some family members used the hot tub resulting in hot tub rashes, unsure whether too many chemicals had been used as there was a strong smell of chlorine in the hot tub shed. We all had a fab Christmas week.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are glad that you all enjoyed your stay. We only live up the road so any issues that you encountered could have been resolved throughout your stay. Property Owner

  • "A really lovely property for a large group."

The location is superb - ideal for bird watchers or anyone else content to enjoy a beautiful seascape. The house itself is very well equipped - also spacious, warm and comfortable . There were one or two minor maintenance issues , but these were resolved literally in minutes. We would all , unreservedly, recommend this property .

  • "Excellent location right on the beach."

Very well equipped with everything a large group could need. The hot tub and heated outside shower were great when returning from the beach and sea and plenty of outdoor seating to get the full benefit of the fabulous sea views. The kitchen diner is great for family meals, and again very well equipped with plenty of cooking and eating options and a large fridge freezer with drinks and ice machine. Lots of sleeping and bathroom options and a gorgeous spa bath. We were a group of 10 adults and two toddlers and we wanted for nothing here. Even a shop right next door selling essentials as well as fresh bread and local product's. Fabulous stay thank you.

  • "Loved this accommodation, catered for the 3 families staying there and the location, beach, garden and hot tub were amazing."

The only thing was that we were unable to use the hot tub until about 11pm the night we arrived, we understand that it needs to be cleaned out from previous guest but it would have been nice to know as the kids were looking forward to it and couldn't use it. The house had a funny smell and the smell of other people living there, which made it feel like it wasn't very clean. There were dishes still dirty in the cupboards, and the cleanliness wasn't up to the standard you would expect for the cost of the house. Skirting boards in the bathroom had splatters of toothpaste which could be easily wiped and bathroom floors with dirty bits and dust. The king-size bedroom on the First floor mattress very soft and uncomfortable. I went to use one of the blankets stored with the picnic blankets, etc, and it was covered in dog hair. The house is stunning. Thank you for our stay.

Thank you for taking the time to review us. I'm sorry that you have had these niggles and only wish you had mentioned them when you were messaging me and I would have addressed them straight away. I am bemused by the smell and can assure you that no one else lives there. Again had you mentioned this too me when you were messaging I would have come down and had a smell myself. I will make a note in the advert about the hot tub but we just presumed that guests would realise why it's not up to temp for your arrival. The clean on your departure is a classic example of why we need to empty, clean, sanitise between guests as the hot tub was full off sand when you left, clearly the rule stating you must shower prior to use was not adhered to. Neither was the request about emptying the fridge of food and cupboards ,emptying the bins and leaving us with a dishwasher full of dirty dishes . Property Owner

About the location

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
