  • "Nice homely cottage."

Good quality furnishings. Very close to neighbours. The towels were only small bath towels and only one hand towel provided for two adults. In my opinion, these would have been better if they had been bath sheets and two hand towels provided. The cottage has the most wonderful views.

  • "Lovely rural location, views are splendid, across the fields towards Bamburgh Castle."

The cottage is attached on either side but luckily both properties were unoccupied. Kitchen is small but usable. The log burner was useful on cool evenings and we brought paper, firelighters and logs with us. Only real issue was a lack of hand/face towels. We would expect more than just a bath towel each and a shared hand towel! Also some milk and a small welcome pack would be a nice touch. In all a lovely stay.

Great location and felt really homely. We love Northumberland and would absolutely look to rebook this cottage again :-)

  • "Was a lovely location and panoramic view but the cottage left a lot to desire."

Was very close to neighbours and not real privacy. The master bed mattress was very uncomfortable and I feel time for a replacement. The bed frame also has a footboard which is not good for a taller person like myself. The master bedroom could also do with blackout blinds. The kitchen was very small and no real storage. Photos of kitchen were a bit deceptive on how small it was. The dining table did not have enough space for the four people to sit around and was cramped between wall and couch. There was also a bee problem which was not resolved and we were interrupted the first day of our stay with pest control but obviously they did not resolve the problem. Would have been nice to have a little bit of kindling and firestarter and also more toilet paper for the week. Just felt the bare minimum was done and nothing to really welcome a guest.

  • "Lovely cottage."

Well appointed and furnished. Warm and comfortable with great views across to Bamburgh and Budle Bay. Perhaps the provision of a pint of milk and some tea bags and coffee for arrival could be a suggestion to make the stay even better. We would definitely recommend this property for a relaxing break. It's in an ideal location to explore the beautiful Northumberland area and especially its magnificent coastline.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay in Bellshill Cottage."

It was perfectly sized for our family of five and the interior was to a really good standard. Excellent location close to seaside resorts of Bamburgh and Beadnell whilst retaining a rural feel.

  • "Beautiful cottage in a stunning location."

Easy access to A1 for getting around. Lots of outdoor seating, front and back of the property. Comfortable indoor seating. Would definitely stay here again ( if I can find a vacancy! ) Thoroughly recommend it.

  • "Excellent position."

Very cosy as it was colder than we anticipated. Central heating worked perfectly. Very closed to A1 yet far enough not to hear the traffic. The view from the cottage across the country side was lovely.

  • "A tastefully decorated cottage, very clean."

Excellent views over to the sea, lovely rural and peaceful location, close to but not too near to the A1, very handy for getting around. We would definitely return and recommend to others.

Nestled into the countryside hamlet of Lucker, near Belford, Bellshill Cottage is a wonderful family property for those who are looking to explore the scenery and sandy beaches of Northumberland.

Be welcomed by the picturesque exterior of this stone cottage, framed by mature trees with a backdrop of countryside fields, and make yourself at home in the sitting/dining room, ideal for warming your feet beside a woodburning stove, surrounded by homely décor and seaside artwork.

The kitchen houses a great many appliances which will make cooking convenient, so why not create a masterpiece from local produce and enjoy a family meal in the dining area?

With two bedrooms, this property will sleep either two adults and two children or three adults, due to the day bed in the single room being suitable for children only.

The double room is a lovely fresh space with lime furniture and storage, and there is a family bathroom great for warming yourself after a long walk through the countryside.

Outside, a delightful gravelled area is bordered by colourful shrubs and allows for expansive views, with a table and chairs perfect for alfresco dining.

Lucker is a remote area with countryside views in abundance, however, for eateries and a convenience store, head over to Belford where you can dine out and stock up on essentials.

Ross Links beach is the closest to the property, however from here you can reach the historic seaside town of Bamburgh, where you will not only find beautiful sandy coastlines and walks in wildlife, but the magnificent Bamburgh Castle towering over the scenery, and a little further away you can visit the historic Holy Island.
