"I hadnt realised the park was so close to the A1 - although the traffic noise kept me awake on the first night , it wasnt really a problem after that , but its such a busy road during the day it was frustrating having long waits to join every day as there was no other route to get to places."

Having said that the lodge is beautiful and the park nice and well kept although it was dissapointing that the Time Out Tavern appears to be permanently closed and also that there is no reception in the park. Strangely on night one there was a loud bang on the outside of the caravan and the sofa actually moved! I presumed a deer had probably hit the side, then got underneath in a panic and vibrated underneath. Hubby went outside and nothing could be seen but it would have been nice to be able to ask if that happens regularly. As there are deer statues at the entrance we presumed they are regular visitors.

    "The lodge was as described."

The lounge area and beds were comfortable. It was handy having two bathrooms. There was everything we needed in the kitchen. We enjoyed the hot tub and the outdoor space which was kept clean and tidy. The only fault I found was that the heating was set remotely on a timer so we couldn’t change it. The information book advised us to use the fire in the living area if we were cold. That was fine if you were sitting in that area but the bedrooms and bathrooms were really cold.

We really appreciate your comments, and I hope the issue with the heating wasn’t too disappointing. I have further adjusted the settings to ensure that the temperature throughout the lodge is much warmer than the previous settings, and we will monitor these with subsequent guests to ensure we are getting the balance right. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention. Property Owner
