"It's not difficult to understand why people keep returning to Swallow Cittage."
We have had a great week re-visting some of our favourite places and also discovering some new ones. Above all many thanks to Pauline and Tony for making us feel so very welcome. Graham and Barbara Chappell

"The cottage is deceptively spacious, cosy and comfortable."
The gifts of wine, milk and fresh flowers were very welcome. The garden is lovely, with an attractive flower bed outside the patio doors, with a bird table, so lots to watch from the comfort of the living room. There were also two places to sit outside to enjoy the garden. The hosts, Pauline and Tony were friendly and welcoming. We would certainly be happy to return to this cottage as it was so peaceful, and also convenient to reach the many interesting places to visit in Northumberland

"We really enjoyed our holiday in Swallows Cottage."
It certainly lives up to it's name as there were dozens of swallows flying round. The owners were very welcoming and the cottage was extremely well equipped. The garden was also well maintained and very pretty with plenty of wildlife and birds visiting. Swallows Cottage is well placed for touring this lovely area and we would definitely recommend it.

"Well-appointed and spotlessly clean cottage all on one level, with a lovely garden."
Very friendly hosts. Lives up to its name as the swallows will come in and perch on the kitchen cupboards if you leave the door open. Would go again.

Even the swallows came to meet us. The surrounding area is beautiful and we had the most fabulous place from which to explore. We will more than likely be returning. Thanks for having us.

"Pauline and Tony are lovely, the cottage has everything you need for a break away, the garden is full of birds, rabbits and we also saw a hare."
Good base for all the tourist sites and the coast. Alnwick is a 10 minute drive away and has lots of shops and cafes (small market on Saturday + M&S Foodhall, Sainsbury’s etc) the castle and gardens are well worth seeing. Bamburgh and Holy Island well signposted from the A1 north. The Northumberland Arms in Felton is good for Sunday lunch but booking is essential.

Lovely quiet cottage in great surroundings for us to explore with our bicycles and motorcycle. Not far from the lovely sandy beaches and Amble facilities. Will try to return.

"Overall a lovely stay at Swallow Cottage hosted by a great friendly couple, a well tended garden with many wildlife visitors, the welcome pack and flowers were a nice touch and greatly appreciated."
Plenty to do in the area both on the coast and inland too.
We missed WiFi facilities, although we appreciate it wasn’t available at SC as per the advert description, the bed was a little uncomfortable for me but again it’s hard to accommodate everyone’s desires. There was evidence of plumbing so the reinstallation of a basic washing machine would be fabulous especially as we travel with minimum clothing and washing by hand isn’t ideal, there was an ironing board etc available.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Swallow Cottage and hope to return in the future. Thanks P&T for making us welcome.
