  • "The property is absolutely brilliant!"

It is spacious, clean & tidy. The facilities provided for every possible need. From modern appliances in the kitchen including the huge American fridge freezer to the dishwasher not to mention plenty of everyday essentials such as cutlery, plates, glasses etc. to the numerous DVDs & games to provide entertainment even on the wettest days. On arrival the welcome hamper is a particularly nice touch. The views are magnificent in a tranquil setting & Warkworth is only a short drive away. All in all a well designed & equipped holiday home in a stunning location.

Thank you for the wonderful feedback. We’re so glad you enjoyed the property and surrounding area. Lisa & Paul Property Owner

Down to washing up liquid, silver foil etc. The beds were very comfortable and the TV's in 2 of the bedrooms was an added bonus, we watched the Olympics with a cup 9f tea and got up at out leisure. The weather was kind, but had it not been there were puzzles games and dvd's. The TV's all had the facility fir Netflix and Amazon Prime too. We had a great stay and I highly recommend Seaview.

Thank you for the lovely feedback. It’s great when people appreciate the wonderful job Barbara the cleaner does. Obviously we always hope the weather is good when people stay. However it’s nice to hear that there are plenty of amenities to keep people occupied within the lodge. Paul & Lisa Property Owner

  • "Overall, it was a very enjoyable holiday at Sea View Lodge."

The facilities were very good and found the large fridge freezer very useful, in the warm weather. We were able to visit several National Trust sites in the nearby areas, as well as Holy Island. We felt the on-suite shower room was a little small and the decking (along with the few steps) is in need of maintenance, and the parking at the back a little inconvenient, while unloading (and loading, on return) the car; during the drizzle. It was our first time, to stay at a lodge.

Thank you for your feedback. The en-suite is an additional feature that most of the lodges don’t have, so we consider it a bonus to the large modern bathroom. You were informed the parking was at the side of the property and unfortunately the drizzle was beyond our control. The decking was replaced 2 years ago, but unfortunately due to the weather we have been unable to repaint the spindles. It is indeed well positioned for the many National Trust sites. • "Absolutely wonderful location, very peaceful & plenty of birdsong."

Comfortable beds & well equipped kitchen. Great fridge for instant ice cubes! If there were a few things to point out it would be more comfortable outdoor/garden furniture. The decking balustrades are wobbly with peeling paint, and the wooden steps to the main door may need replacing before too long. Apart from that, it is a fantastic lodge with a lovely welcome pack.

Contact with Paul was easy and checking out made positive for us. Only negative for us was that we had to dispose of all general waste ourselves (but enough posibilities within driving distance). We will certainly come back if we go to Northumberland again!

Thank you for the kind feedback for Seaview. It’s only glass that can’t be put in the blue recyclable bin. All general waste can be put in the green general waste bin, which is at the back of Seaview. Sorry for any confusion on this matter. Paul Property Owner

Contact with Paul, the owner, was timely in replies and very helpful and friendly. The property was immaculate, comfortable and welcoming. Lovely welcome gifts with milk for a well needed tea and coffee on arrival. The grounds were lovely, views beautiful especially looking towards the sea at the sunrise and star gazing too. Adequate parking for 2 cars right next to property. We had to put the heating on as it got chilly but the lodge was toasty warm within half an hour to have to turn it back off!! Everything we needed was there we did not want for anything. Great range of DVD's and board games which came in very handy as we were there during storm Babet so we were more than happy safe and cosy in the lodge. The lodge was superbly insulated so was extremely quiet even with the extreme weather occurring outside. Comfy furniture, spacious and felt like it was home from home. Sea View Lodge is set over one floor and has been beautifully presented throughout, offering a delightful base for families and friends looking to explore Northumberland.

The property comes with added benefit of a washing machine and dishwasher, so you won’t have to lift a finger when it comes to washing up.

Grab a book and head for the conservatory, offering a charming space for a bit of me-time, while the views of the garden and towards the distant sea provide a relaxing backdrop.

On a sunny day, you’ll want to sit within the mature garden, complete with outdoor furniture where you can set up for alfresco dining or an afternoon picnic.

As the evening comes to a close, choose from three impressive bedrooms to catch your rest, including two king-size doubles, one with en-suite facilities and a twin room, which would be perfect for children.

The village is also home to a number of pubs and eateries, so you can enjoy eating away from the kitchen, along with many shops where gifts and souvenirs can be purchased.

Get to know your surroundings further by heading up the Northumberland Coast AONB, where you will be able to meander along the sandy beaches, spot the endearing wildlife or cycle along miles of quaint country lanes to further appreciate the stunning location.
