Immaculately clean and extremely well equipped, it was also beautifully furnished and decorated. It was light and airy but also cosy and warm, in the evenings. Spacious and peaceful with enticing views of the sea, which was a short drive away. The owner was very helpful and his instructions ensured we had no difficulty locating the property. We had a very happy week here and wish we could have stayed longer. Would recommend this gorgeous cottage to anyone seeking a lovely, relaxing holiday.

  • "I’m just back from a week at Seaview Lodge with my family."

We had a wonderful time. The house is absolutely beautiful - light and airy, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed. There was even milk and a welcome gift when we arrived which was a nice surprise. It’s in a quiet location with lovely views of the sea and Warkworth Castle. There’s a garden which my kids enjoyed playing in. It’s really well located for lots of great places to visit. It’s a short drive from Warkworth village and beach and all the conveniences of Amble. It’s also within easy driving distance of Alnwick, Bamburgh, Cragside and Lindisfarne. There’s so much to do in the area, I’d love to go back and would definitely stay at Seaview Lodge again.

Sea View Lodge is set over one floor and has been beautifully presented throughout, offering a delightful base for families and friends looking to explore Northumberland.

Step inside and relax within the open-plan living area, whether it be lounging on the sofa in search for a favourite film, or take to the contemporary kitchen where an array of appliances await you.

The property comes with added benefit of a washing machine and dishwasher, so you won’t have to lift a finger when it comes to washing up.

Grab a book and head for the conservatory, offering a charming space for a bit of me-time, while the views of the garden and towards the distant sea provide a relaxing backdrop.

On a sunny day, you’ll want to sit within the mature garden, complete with outdoor furniture where you can set up for alfresco dining or an afternoon picnic.

As the evening comes to a close, choose from three impressive bedrooms to catch your rest, including two king-size doubles, one with en-suite facilities and a twin room, which would be perfect for children.

When you’re ready to tear yourself away from this charming abode, venture into the village of Warkworth where you can explore the stunning ruins of Warkworth Castle or be rowed across the River Coquet to discover a 14th century chapel, where you can catch glimpses of seals and otters swimming up to the rock face.

The village is also home to a number of pubs and eateries, so you can enjoy eating away from the kitchen, along with many shops where gifts and souvenirs can be purchased.

Get to know your surroundings further by heading up the Northumberland Coast AONB, where you will be able to meander along the sandy beaches, spot the endearing wildlife or cycle along miles of quaint country lanes to further appreciate the stunning location.

About the location

Alnwick 5 miles; Alnmouth 3 miles; Amble 1 mile.

Lying in the loop of the River Coquet on the Heritage Coast, Warkworth is a picturesque village, dominated by the dramatic ruins of its 12th century castle. The history of the village and the castle are intertwined with the Percy Family who took over the castle in 1332. The Percys’ other home is nearby Alnwick Castle, most recently associated with Harry Potter as the film location of Hogwarts School. The main street is lined with Georgian and early Victorian houses and there is an exceptional range of galleries, antiques shops, a village shop/Post Office, pubs, restaurants and gift shops to suit all tastes. Warkworth has its own stretch of sandy beach and a 9 hole pay and play golf course. Also within easy touring distance are Hadrian’s Wall, Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island, the Farne Islands, several wonderful beaches and Alnwick Garden with its remarkable water cascade and Tree House Restaurant.
