The welcome basket was a lovely touch and the hot tub was fab. The owner has given great consideration to ensuring your stay is a home from home. Would book again and recommend to family and friends.

! Cleanliness, comfort, attention to detail, amazing. My elderly Mother didn't want to leave. Lovely tidy quiet site with a lake & mature trees. The bonus of the Hot Tub & proximity to many major attractions & shopping centres made the choice of this accomodation a no brainer.

  • "The facilities and the lodge were both great but it wasn't as clean as expected, despite how new everything is."

Just an off-putting oversight, I imagine. It's odd that I haven't been to a very clean Sykes cottage yet, and I have never complained up til now, perhaps because I felt I hadn't paid enough and maybe I somehow deserved it?? This time it was expensive. There is no WiFi, even though Sykes advertise it. The rest of it, the hot tub, the park, and the caravan itself was beautiful.

About the location

Alnwick 10 miles.

The delightful village of Felton is set in rural Northumberland, between Morpeth to the south and Alnwick to the north. The village has a shop, coffee shop, pub and restaurant, and is just 10 miles from Alnwick, with its Castle and now famous Garden, which features Europe's largest cascading water feature, an enormous tree house, a rose garden and an ornamental walled garden. The castle is also famous as the setting for Hogwarts School featured in the "Harry Potter" films! Alnwick offers a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat and there is plenty to see and do, with miles of golden sandy beaches, numerous castles and boat trips to the famous Farne Islands all available nearby. Altogether a superb location for exploring Northumberland and its stunning Heritage Coastline.
