The lodge was spacious & clean, with lovely views over the enclosed garden and adjoining fields and the bottle of wine made us feel welcome. It was very peaceful with no noise or disturbance from the workers building two more lodges adjacent to ours. We enjoyed the walk-in shower but the towels were hard & scrubby. We were disappointed to find only half a roll of toilet paper & no spares. The weather turned very cold during our week’s stay but there were no instructions for the heating and no spare blankets for the beds. Would recommend the village shop, who seem to stock almost everything you might need!
