  • "Felmoor Holiday Park is a lovely place to base yourself to visit all areas of Northumberland."

We thoroughly enjoy our stay at Pinecone Lodge. Pine one Lodge was a nice lodge, had all necessary equipment for sel-catering. That said, I feel the lodge needs a little TLC in places i.e the cupboard in the bathroom needs replacing and the grouting along the wall by the bath taps needs renewing. The lodge has been painting white throughout of which is very patchy in areas. Jan left us a lovely welcome gift of Prosecco and luxury cookies of which we really appreciated and enjoyed. We won’t hesitate to go back and stay, next year.

  • "Would only add something in the handbook to say that the water will be off when the hot tubs on site are being refilled."

We had to ring the out of hours number thinking that there was a problem.

  • "We had a lovely time here!"

There were a few issues (discussed with the owner before we arrived) but they didn't impact our time away. Sofas were a little on the older side, some of the material was flaking away but it was covered by throws so not really noticeable. Bed was comfortable, location was great and the layout was ideal for a cozy night after a busy day exploring with the dogs. Thanks again!

  • "This is a very spacious and comfortable lodge with a well equipped kitchen and even better for my daughter, it has a full sized bath!"

The TV has prime and Netflix which might be important to some guests. Even though the park is quite big, the lodge feels private and has a country feel from the balcony area. We will definitely return, hopefully when a special price is advertised again.

  • "This lodge was an ideal base for exploring the delights of Northumberland including Alnwick, Holy Island and Druridge Bay to name a few."

The property was comfortable and very spacious inside and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The park was nice and quiet and the beds were really comfy too. The Crazy Horse Saloon is situated 50 metres from the lodge and while we found the menu a little restricted, the food was very good. There is entertainment on a few nights and also bingo nights. To keep the kids entertained there is a games room in the basement. There is also a nice quiet lake on the park to walk dogs round. I must also mention the owner of the lodge who we found to be easily contactable and very welcoming and left some nice treats on arrival. I would highly recommend this property to anyone interested in visiting Northumberland.

Thank you for the Prosseco and biscuits. We did struggle with the Tv as we couldn’t get any ITV channels - not sure if it’s always like that - or we just aren’t tv tech savvy. Didn’t spoil our stay though.

The village has a shop with a post office, coffee shop, pub and restaurant, and is just 10 miles from Alnwick, with its Castle and now famous Garden, which features Europe's largest cascading water feature, an enormous tree house, a rose garden and an ornamental walled garden. The castle is also famous as the setting for Hogwarts School featured in the "Harry Potter" films! Alnwick offers a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat and there is plenty to see and do, with miles of golden sandy beaches, numerous castles and boat trips to the famous Farne Islands all available nearby. Altogether a superb location for exploring Northumberland and its stunning Heritage Coastline.
