The Look Out

This is a beautiful place and the view and walks remarkable.

As other people have mentioned the staff are really lovely and so helpful, and despite the previous comments, the bed was lovely and comfortable, there were just a few things that would have made it an even better stay. The pillow cases weren’t on when we arrived but when we asked for them they were quickly provided. There was only dregs of toilet roll left so it meant we had to sort that ourselves. There was nothing to help us make a drink eg tea or coffee when we arrived, just a sachet or two to have a drink after a long day would have been really welcome. We ate at the restaurant which was lovely and again the staff were everything you’d hope. I think those little touches would have made the stay even better and the Look out even more welcoming.

Loved our stay at The Lookout.

Couldn't wish for a more beautiful view from a bedroom window. You need to watch the timing of the lift down or its a fair set of steps to the front door! The flat has everything for a short stay, but sadly the mattress was really cheap & uncomfortable, a massive let-down to the quality of the stay, neither of us slept well for the 3 night we stayed. For those hoping for a 'Dark Sky' experience over the sea-line then sadly there is an enormous light from the hotel that shines into the room all night. Not so good.

Beautiful location, property had everything you could want.

But the cleaning was poor especially the floor which was extremely fluffy and dusty. The staff at the grotto next door were very helpful.

The lookout was good, right on the beach, The Grotto not so good, the only access to the Lookout is by a lift, which is only open between 10am and 10pm.

The bar at the Grotto has last orders at 9.30pm, which I thought was ridiculous, you had to be back, but then the bar was closed, for people in the hotel and the cottages.

The Look out was amazing, fabulous views.

The apartment was nice, just a little tired in places, the taps on the sink, move round when you are trying to turn them on and off, although the bed linen and towels were spotless, the apartment looked like it needed a real good spring clean, marks on radiators and windowsills needed a good wipe. The shower was fabulous, and the apartment was lovely and warm. The staff at the Grotto, were very nice, and nothing was too much trouble. We will be definitely going back again.

Had to complain twice about the cleanliness of the apartment.

Dead flies all over flat, surfaces unwiped lots of pictures if owner wants proof. When complained to the manageress i would have been better talking to the wall absolutely no interest and this was after showing the pictures i have.The grotto is a lovely setting however we arrived on Sunday and it was really busy bins overflowing and rubbish all over the ground took the staff to Wednesday to empty bins. This could be a fantastic place if only a bit of care was taken.
