  • "We had a very comfortable stay."

The staff were friendly and helpful, in particular Mark and the lady who owns a cockapoo. The side of the bath is quite high and might be a problem if you have mobility issues and the dripping tap needs fixing. We love Warkworth and the surrounding area and we are likely to book here again.

  • "Great location."

Very quiet. Plenty of parking. The kitchen needs new crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. Dustpan no brush? Great value for money if you compare it with other properties in the same location.

The staff in the hotel and bar were great as was the food and service. It couldnt be situated in a better place for walking and exploring

  • "The apartment is well placed for exploring beautiful Northumberland."

The staff are friendly and did try to rectify the issues that we had. On arrival we were shown the QR code to scan for the guest WiFi, but we weren't told that it only works in the kitchen part of the apartment due to very weak signal. There was also an issue with the ariel so TV constantly going off then the booster box went off completely by Wednesday. They did try to fix it but ended up giving us the hotel WiFi to access iPlayer so that we could watch news and weather. The views from the apartment are amazing and the furniture is comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom let it down though and could do with an update (no need for the bidet, would be better with towel rail and shelf). There is plenty of parking on site.

  • "Positives were comfy beds, good quality sheets."

Nice thick towels, shower gel and shampoo, tea/coffee/milk Negatives were cobwebs in every room, bath was very deep and access to the shower difficult to get into as it was high. Poor quality TV, old gas cooker and washer. No fire blanket in kitchen. No grill pan. No non stick frying pan. Crockery was odd plates and limited in number. No independent heating control and we had to ask reception numerous times for central heating to be put on

  • "I have contacted the owner with regard to the issues I had whilst staying at Coquet View Apartment, but have not had a reply."

On the plus side, the location and views are stunning. Due to the clear skies on some nights of our stay, the planets and stars were clearly visible.

  • "The apartment was generally clean and tidy but a little worn in some areas."

More equipment in the kitchen would have been helpful. The pub downstairs was friendly and the food was good.

  • "Leak in the kitchen when it rains that when we reported to reception we were told to put a pan on the floor to catch the drips."

It was clearly not the first time it has leaked as there is lots of water damage on the walls and the floor in the kitchen as the floor covering was all broken and moved each time you walked in it. Also we had to try and leave the kitchen windows open as much as we could as there was a terrible old greece smell. Definitely not a 4 star property But the location was great.

  • "A nice clean spacious apartment which needs some TLC - some windows do not lock , kitchen cupboard side under sink fallen off , bathroom sink is loose off wall ,oven ignitor does not work , no remote for electric fire also required is a set of drawers in each bedroom , a shelf for the bathroom , my wife struggled to get into the bath for a shower as it is high up and your advert should mention there are 30 steps to get to this second floor apartment ."

Apart from this we enjoyed our week in Warkworth but would not go back to this apartment

  • "The bedrooms were nice and big but there were no cupboards to hang up your clothes."

There were just some free standing hangers and boxes. There was plenty of room for cupboards if they could be provided. That was the only thing that I could find fault with. Everything else was very good.

  • "The kitchen was sparsely equipped as we did self cater during our stay."

Also the bathroom fan didn't work and there was a slow leak under the kitchen sink, both of which we reported. The rooms were comfortable and airy and the views spectacular across the river to Amble. Fantastic location for the river and beach, local bus route also really good for linear walks.

  • "Wonderful setting and excellent accommodation."

The staff were extremely friendly and the pub served food that could be taken up to the apartment. The whole place was very covid-aware and we felt very safe. Our only minor criticism would be that wi-fi was only partially available in the apartment - this might be an issue with people who were more intent on using the internet and streaming than we were. Why stare at a screen when there are so many beautiful walks and beaches nearby!

  • "If 4 people are planning to stay in this apartment they should be made aware that the bathroom door is quite flimsy and doesn't allow a great deal of privacy."

Apart from this, the apartment is comfortable and extremely good value.

  • "Beautiful clean apartment over a lovely pub in a lovely little village."

Would definitely stay there again. Just one little thing I would like to bring to attention is that it is a dog friendly accommodation and there was no bins around the grounds at all to put any dog waste in. Please put some bins around! Apart from that lovely week had by all.

  • "Staff very friendly and helpful."

Apartment as described, comfortable and spacious but kitchen could do with more equipment especially a grill pan for the grill. The WiFi was virtually non existent although one floor down a full signal was obtainable, no good if you are trying to watch Netflix or iPlayer in the smart tv ! Also the apartment is partly above the kitchens and partly above the conservatory, unfortunately for us there was a function on during our first night and the noise went on until 1130pm

  • "There are a few things that would make a stay in Coquet View more comfortable, all of which are currently missing: Coathooks Chest of drawers in the bedrooms Towel rails We also mentioned to hotel reception that the right-hand window in the kitchen still doesn't close properly and needs sanding."

Warkworth is a great place to base a holiday in the north east and Coquet View is ideal for self-catering accommodation in the town.
