To have the gorgeous beach minutes was so good esp for our pooch ! Definitely looking at booking again. Only thing I will say is a mirror in the twin room is needed.

  • "I can’t rate Rose Lodge enough."

The property is clean and tidy, well equipped. It was perfect for us to use as a base for walking. The farm is quiet apart from our little visitors- we had a peacock whose loves to sing and came on our decking and the horses also like to nose, which was amazing. I loved the open porch for our sandy boots! It’s comfortable and welcoming. The owners are also really helpful and friendly. We will be booking for next year! Thank you so much!

  • "We were in Rose Lodge."

There is virtually nothing in the property advertising to suggest the lodge is right in the middle of a farm. Our pup escaped the lead the minute we arrived and ran after a rooster, as all the farm birds are roaming right next to the properties. Our lodge was at the end which was right next to the barn. While we absolutely love animals, we have a reactive dog who reacts to animal sounds. I also have hay fever so spent my time with a runny nose and streaming eyes. I think it should be clearer in the description that farm animals would be wandering free. I also think a gate at the porch of the property would add an extra layer of security, rather than having just the front door. The TV cut out one night and apparently it's a common problem. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay, the lodge is beautiful, very well equipped and very close to the gorgeous beach. The beds were extremely comfortable. I would recommend Link House Farm for a peaceful break and the perfect base for exploring the Northumberland coast.

  • "Rose Lodge is a lovely property, modern, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and really well equipped."

Rural location meant peace and quiet, a short walk to a wonderful beach through sand dunes was just what we wanted. Embleton three miles away has a fuel station with shop. All in all a lovely week, with an added bonus of sunny weather.

  • "A very comfortable well equipped house very near a really quiet large sandy beach."

Easy parking. Convenient for the coastal path. The Northumbrian hay meadow near Low Newton was amazing. Not to be missed until haymaking around mid August and even then the field edges were beautiful. Tidy, well looked after complex on a working farm with a fascinating array of poultry. Would come here in future in preference to Bamburgh or Beadnell.
