  • "Very good accommodation at a high standard with all the faculties you need."

Location is spot on as you can walk to all key shops and activities within 5-10 minutes. Great having 3 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms as we have two teens (boy and girl) the only minor point would be to have a ‘fenced in’ garden for our dog(there is now back garden but one at the side and the front) otherwise we would stay here again

  • "We have just returned from our New Year break at The Chevey."

Really lovely house situated a short distance from Seahouses. Exceptionally clean with all the amenities you could need for a week's stay. Plenty of cooking facilities, crockery and cutlery. The house is lovely and warm. Thankyou for the treats on arrival and Christmas decorations. We soon ate the delicious cake! Such a lovely, welcoming house. Whoever stays will not be disappointed. Highly recommend.

  • "Loved our stay at The Chevy and will definitely be coming back."

Spacious, quiet, nice strolling distance from Seahouses. Well appointed and everything provided for a perfect stay. The cake, wine and honey an added surprise - thank you. Note to owner - heated towel rail in main bathroom not working!

Thank you for your lovely review. The Chevy is a new build property and therefore there are no switches allowed in bathrooms or en-suites. The switch for that towel rail is on the opposite side of the wall in the bedroom and is marked as such. On testing we found the rail to work perfectly. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay at The Chevy."

It's in the newer part of Seahouses, so it's a modern house, not a traditional cottage. But what it lacks in character, it makes up for in warmth and practicality. We were lucky with the weather most of the time, dry but very cold but the house was always welcoming and seemed to be very well insulated. Seahouses is an excellent base for this part of Northumberland. You can walk north and south along the coastal path and other attractions are only short drives away. There is lots of crockery in the house, but it would have been good to have a few more cutlery sets, but only a minor issue. And finally, as others have said, the welcome pack was a lovely treat, particularly the honey. It's amazing how much 5 people can get through in a week!

Thank you for your lovely review. We have added more cutlery sets to the house. Thank you for alerting us to it. Property Owner

  • "We had a very comfortable week at The Chevy."

It’s very well equipped and has everything you need for self catering. This is our second year staying here and have booked for next year. It is in a brilliant location for walking around or visiting other towns around Northumberland. Would like to see maybe an outside clothes dryer! That’s about the only thing missing.

Thank you for our review. We have added a rotary clothes dryer as per your suggestion. Property Owner

  • "Very pleasant stay on what would be our 4th visit to the Chevy, excellent accommodation and very local to the village of Seahouses and it’s beautiful beaches and harbour, just a short walk and your right in the heart of the village for shops and restaurants etc."

Spacious kitchen and en-suite rooms are all excellent although I would suggest one room should maybe have twin beds for anyone who either have children or sleep separately, the 2 x piece suite in the living room is uncomfortable to sit on and the tv is too high up the wall so you end up with a sore neck watching it (minor details) all in all a very pleasant stay and hopefully will be back again very soon

  • "Property very clean and tidy but the downstairs bedroom had a too small en suite and wardrobe space was very limited."

We like to cook and would have appreciated sharper knives, the induction hob did not function properly and more chopping boards would be better. Property great for four people but not for six adults.

The comfort and enjoyment of our guests is most important to us and that is why we fitted an en suite to our ground floor bedroom. As we have many appreciative guests who would struggle to access facilities on the first floor, we feel we have made the correct decision. We have tested the induction hob and found it to be in full working order. Full instructions on operation are in the property file. We have now included a knife sharpener and extra chopping boards in the property, thank you for your comments. Property Owner

  • "Have had a lovely week's holiday at the Chevy."

Was spotless, well equipped & great to have our own en-suites & tvs in our rooms. It was our first time to Northumberland - we loved seeing the seals & puffins on the boat trip with Serenity. We were lucky enough to see dolphins too! Great day at Alnwick Castle with all the 'Harry Potter@ style activities. The little 'pod' shops in Amble are well worth a visit. Beautiful beaches everywhere! Loved Bamburgh beach especially. Thank you for the cake and wine, very much appreciated after all the shopping & sight seeing!

Home from home, everthing you need, beds are so comfy. The cake & wine on arrival was a lovely touch. Will definitely be back. As we come for 2 weeks and were a family of 6, a whirly would be a great addition in the garden.

  • "Lovely week spent in your beautiful property."

Been visiting Northumberland for last 9 years and one of the best properties we have stayed in. Welcome appreciated especially as it was my partners birthday and she loves white wine!! If we had a negative it would be to make the garden secure for dogs, as our elderly labrador likes to lay out in the garden, but this didn't spoil our stay. Thanks
