  • "Really lovely property, furnished nicely, 2 minutes from the front."

  • "Absolutely spotless, and much more spacious than the pictures show."

Super shower and good bed (only used the king size so can't comment on the others). We didn't get the use the outside space because of the weather but it was very pretty. Location fantastic for walking to the many delights of Amble and we never had a problem parking (although we know Gordon Street can be very busy in mid-summer). Yes we would definitely return.

It is perfectly positioned for a walk along the harbour to the village. Highly recommended!

  • "We had a great stay at Creel Cottage."

The cottage was well equipped, clean and cosy. Being a 3 bed worked well for our family. Creel Cottage is situated in a perfect location. Parking was on adjacent road which wasn’t an issue for us, as we always managed to find a space. From the cottage we were able to stroll along the sand dunes to the beaches or walk into town. We explored the local area around Amble - it could be a castle, a beach, a sea trip to Coquet Island. Recommending evening meals at the Harbour and the Boat House. We found plenty to do within our weeks stay and plan to return back at some point. Many thanks to the owner for a great stay :-)

Thank you for your feedback It’s very much appreciated Hope you will return again soon. Property Owner

  • "Creel cottage was furnished to a very high standard, comfortable beds, superb kitchen, spotless throughout and a powerful shower that actually works as intended."

The cottage is much larger than it looks from the outside. It is in a great position, 150 or so yards to a rocky beach with fabulous views. A perfect place to unwind after a day exploring this beautiful part of the UK. The owners have gone to great lengths to think of everything that the guest would require with quality fixtures and fittings. Please pass on our thanks. Note : When we arrived we were slightly confused where to park after unloading the car as not to upset any neighbours, but there was plenty of spaces a minute walk away near the park.

Thank you very much for your feedback and delighted you enjoyed your stay. I’ll make the parking situation clearer in the instructions but you can pretty much park anywhere on Gordon street and at the end of Blackwood street. Many thanks again and we look forward to welcoming you back Property Owner

  • "This property is an ideal getaway cottage in the lovely fishing port of Amble with lots of places to visit along the beautiful Northumberland coastline."

There is no off road parking for this property but there is adequate space just a few seconds walk away on the adjacent road. This cosy cottage is beautifully furnished and decorated and it is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. The town centre is 10 minutes walk away past the harbour where you will find a good selection of shops, cafés and restaurants/takeaways. There is also a large Sunday market held by the quayside that is worth a visit.

  • "We will definitely be going back to Creel Cottage."

Perfectly placed in the very pretty fishing village at Amble. We had originally hoped for accommodation in Alnwick, but both of us couples said we were glad that we had found Amble instead. The cottage was immaculately kept, spotlessly clean, and had everything we could possibly need.

  • "A lovely cottage, beautifully presented and spotlessly clean."

It had everything we needed for our short break and we appreciated having the basic food items in place. Also ideal for our dog! It was perfectly situated for the sea and harbour. We were lucky enough to see dolphins in the harbour early one morning. A great spot for visiting nearby villages too. Would definitely recommend and return. Thank you!

Thanks very much for your feedback. The cottage used to be our home so we are delighted that you enjoyed it. Look forward to seeing you again soon Property Owner

  • "Very comfortable clean cottage, only downside is finding a parking place."

Good location for exploring Northumberland and the coast. Lovely friendly shops and dog friendly pubs.

Hi there Thanks for the feedback. Re the parking, we lived in the house for 5 years and rarely had an issue parking. The weekend you stayed was the annual Puffin festival, the Fair, bank holiday and unusually amazing weather! The town was packed which probably explains why you had an issue. Sorry about that but it’s normally easy to park. Hope to see you again sometime. Property Owner

About the location

AMBLE

Warkworth 1 mile; Alnmouth 4 miles.

The bustling little seaport of Amble is situated at the mouth of the River Coquet and is an ideal place for exploring Northumberland. Historically a centre for boatbuilding, Amble offers a marina, a harbour, sandy beaches and coastal walks to the bird sanctuary at Hauxley and country park at Druridge Bay. Large fishing boats moor along the harbour wall and land a variety of fish, prawns, crabs and lobsters. There is a fish centre on the side of the harbour that is now primarily a shell fish hatchery to re-stock levels of lobster and other shell fish, this sells local fish and is open to the public. A mile south of Amble is Coquet Island, an RSPB reserve with a large population of terns, puffins and eider ducks and boat trips around the island can be arranged. The pretty coastal villages of Alnmouth and Craster and numerous superb beaches are only a short drive away, whilst picturesque Warkworth with its castle, charming Alnwick with its castle and award-winning gardens, and the National Trust’s Wallington Hall and Cragside are all within easy reach.
