Hideaway Cottage No 1 is a splendid pet-friendly property in the village of Seahouses, Northumberland.

This property is ideal for a group of friends or a family looking for a getaway, as it boasts open-plan and ground-floor living whilst being near the beach.

As you step into this welcoming holiday base, you’re greeted by an open-plan living area that immediately sets the tone.

Two inviting sofas are placed at the heart of the room, giving you a space to sit back together after a day out, while the dining table sits close by, ready for hearty breakfasts or evening meals.

The kitchen stretches along one side, equipped with everything you could need for a self-catered stay, including an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, and a dishwasher.

Just off the main space, the utility room adds that extra convenience with a second fridge and a washer/dryer, ideal for longer stays.

Wandering further inside, you’ll find two well-presented bedrooms.

The king-size room offers its own en-suite with a walk-in shower, basin, and WC, while the twin room is served by a bright family bathroom fitted with a bath, shower over, basin, and WC.

A short drive brings you to Bamburgh, where the mighty Bamburgh Castle towers over the coastline, the Grace Darling Museum shares the story of one of Britain’s most celebrated heroines, and the vast stretch of Bamburgh Beach is perfect for long, bracing walks.

Head inland to Alnwick and explore the magnificent Alnwick Castle, famed for its grand history and film connections, stroll through The Alnwick Garden with its dazzling fountains and enchanting Poison Garden, and lose yourself in the charm of Barter Books, one of the UK’s largest second-hand bookshops set in a beautifully restored railway station.

A bustling, pretty fishing village with an attractive harbour, situated on the beautiful Northumbrian coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Seahouses offers a variety of shops and a good selection of inns, pubs and eating places. Nearby are miles and miles of splendid sandy beaches and the opportunity to visit the bird sanctuary or seal colony on the famous Farne Islands with boat trips running daily from Seahouses, not to be missed. The Northumberland Coast Path offers stunning walking and hiking opportunities where you can soak in the scenic coastal trails with breath-taking views, whilst the nearby Seahouses Golf Club offers a wonderful spot to practice your swing or play a round or two amidst the coastal backdrop. There are numerous castles and great houses to explore, such as the magnificent castles at Bamburgh, Cragside, and Alnwick, well-known for its appearances in the much-loved Harry Potter films, to mention just a few.
