"Lovely spot, close to the town."
Parking was tricky, especially with a large car like mine, but perfectly acceptable if others are considerate and think of others when abandoning their cars. Unfortunately, this was not the case for some of our returns - house 10, I think it was. The accomodation was lovely and a little quirky on the top floor, but not ideal for my wife who has mobility problems, especially with stairs, as the bathroom was on the GF resulting in additional trips up and down stairs to and from the bedroom. I don't recall seeing that info in the details when booking. A minor inconvenience is lack of anywhere to hang coats or put shoes

"Lovely, well maintained cottage, has everything you need."
Very clean and comfortable, nice location - great place to watch the sunset over the harbour :) Good for our 'older kids' to walk off into the town on their own.
The ONLY draw back was the parking, we took our smaller car, if we'd been in our Galaxy, we wouldn't have got it through the tight archway into a very tightly packed courtyard, the property itself was perfect - Thank you :D

"Although we enjoyed our stay in Seahouses the cottage we stayed in firstly the parking is extremely tight so if you have a medium to large car you are going to struggle to park your car."
Secondly we got boxed in after our arrival and was unable to move our car for two days Which meant we missed out on pre-booked activities and lost money because of it which meant we had to stay on foot or catch a bus or stay in Seahouses itself. secondly some of the bedroom bins were not emptied, cobwebs in the master bedroom, uncomfortable furniture, beds were hard And a strong smell of some sort of air freshener in both bathrooms but especially the en-suite which was overpowering leading to headaches so having to leave windows open. the entrance way to the property the shrubs were overgrown which would catch you as they were entering or leaving the property, partly blocking the door to the property making it more difficult as they have forms on them. The door to the properties also kept sticking so you would have to pull it or push it quite hard . The cleanliness of the house you could see that floors were not properly mopped as they was a thick layer of dust under the dining table also on top of light shades and flies on some of the windowsills, grubby marks on some walls and doors. The property could clearly do with some TLC and love this property could be an amazing property with the right furnishings and cleanliness plus the patio area if it was maintained would be usable. so as a whole what should’ve been a relaxing holiday after battling three months of being seriously ill became a stressful experience where we could only use this property to sleep. what should have been relaxing and enjoying being close to the sea was not. although this property is in a great location the upkeep of the property is not great. I’m really sorry for the poor review, but this was supposed to be a little getaway to recoup after being poorly for so long and instead I felt anxious and stressed due to the parking issue cleanliness of the property and then uncomfortable furnishings.
Very sorry to hear about parking issues- this sadly isn’t in our control but we know the parking can be tight- we are one of the few cottages to offer a private parking spot directly outside our cottage- we have had excellent reviews on our cleaning/cleanliness scoring 9.7 for last 15 months so clearly something had gone wrong with our cleaners as we’ve never had a complaint ever- if no cleaning had been done and bins not empty then we really apologise- we pay premium rates for our cleaning service so we will get onto Sykes first thing Monday to find out what has happened- thanks for drawing it to our attention and we are sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay

"The owner very friendly and accommodating."
The property had everything we needed, including welcome packs and plenty of pillows. The views in the top bedroom were amazing! Such a lovely place to rest and read. Coastal walk outside door with lots of birds and wildlife to spot, and locality perfect and quiet. The bonus of having Sky TV great for unwinding.
Thanks Marsha- much appreciated and please come back for that short break you mentioned- so glad u enjoyed. We are in that small issue you mentioned immediately

"Been going to Seahouses for years, and never knew this little gem was tucked away in a quiet little spot, so close to the beach."
A lovely property, with good use of ample space, both cosy and practical.
Property configuration is great and every room is comfortable and spacious enough to meet your needs. Especially the children's bunk room, very cute.
Kitchen is well equipped. Beds are comfortable, and views are fantastic from the upper floor.
The artwork throughout adds to the feel of well cared for / loved, charm / character. Thoughtful little touches.
TV / phone signal was a little tricky occasionally, but nothing that caused any issues, even with two tech crazy kids.
Neighbours in the square were friendly, and passed pleasantries. Parking is adequate for one car.
Happy to accept a well behaved pet, which is always a super bonus, so thank you for that!
Would not hesitate to recommend! If you're considering it, you will not be disappointed! :)
Thank you so much for our review and we much appreciate it. More to come and we hope to lay new patio late summer to improve sitting outside- so glad you enjoyed

"So much care and thought has been invested into creating a perfect holiday home in Seascape Cottage."
Thought you ensure visitors maximise their enjoyment. We loved our stay and only complaint is it wasn’t long enough as we only had 3 nights. Great location, walk to all amenities. Peaceful and extremely clean and comfortable. The air source heating ensures warm temp throughout cottage. We would love to stay again.
Only marked slightly down on facilities due to tightness of parking when other cars in parking area, proves a little tricky but plan provided is helpful and we appreciate Seahouses was not built for lots of large vehicles so we understand this. Would be great if recycling was provided, so we didn’t have to bring our glass home.
Otherwise perfect! Thank you

"We had a fabulous 3 days in this lovely warm and cosy cottage."
The weather was cold but bright and lovely for coastal walks from the doorstep in both directions. For a longer walk we caught the bus from the top of the street towards Craster and walked back. A real highlight of the cottage was the upstairs room with fabulous views across to the Farne Islands on one side and the sheltered balcony which caught the morning sun on the other.

"A nice, well equipped, cottage in an excellent location, but the heating system was a nightmare !"
Turning off all the radiators didn’t help because some of them didn’t have valves on, and the heat was belting out all the time !
No privacy in the third attic bedroom as it was an open staircase
I have renovated many properties and have always had to have a door that closes for the attic room, required by building control, so I can’t understand why this didn’t
I will definitely be back to the area again, but not to this property unfortunately

"I had a lovely week and the location was great."
A couple of things were a minor issue. The parking was a real problem for the first 48 hours due to a neighbour having 3 cars! Luckily the owners appeared one day and it was sorted. The drive way is cobbled which is quaint but not good if you have slight mobility issues. It should be tarmaced and parking bays should be marked out for clarity. (There also wasn't a fish slice! ). But I had a great time, thanks.
