  • "Lovely home in a perfect location!"

    Facilities provided everything and more. [A replacement frying pan would be welcomed]. We had a problem with the shower being too hot, this was quickly rectified with a new part being fitted. Great service! Super comfortable beds; second bedroom perhaps a little too snug. To look out of the window to an uninterrupted view of the Farne Islands was a privilege.

  • "Very spacious accommodation, in an ideal location."

    Nice to have plenty of seating, with views out to sea. Would have appreciated fuller instructions about central heating. Nothing at all about the TV. Shower controls are very stiff and are in need of some maintenance. No hand towel in downstairs toilet or kitchen.

    We enjoyed our stay at the house very clean everything you need and view from window to sea great would stay there again a walk of ten minutes to Seahouses centre and well stocked shops and eateries also 31/2 miles to Bamburgh if tide out can walk there on the beach we did then went round castle very good value

The property

Boasting a truly superb setting on the outskirts of popular Seahouses in Northumberland, Ty Y Mor offers the most spectacular views towards Farne Islands and Bamburgh Castle, and is perfect for a group of adults travelling together or a family wishing to explore the Northumbrian Coastline.

Inside, the spacious sitting room is bright and airy with an extensive seating area arranged in front of the picture windows which offer stunning coastal views and an electric stove-effect fire helping to add a warming focal point.

The separate kitchen is stylishly fitted with all that is needed to create delicious food for the whole family and there is an elegant dining area in front of feature windows helping to flood the space with light.

There is ample outside space with attractive gardens and a patio area providing simply breath-taking views towards the sea and is an ideal spot for spending time alfresco, if the weather allows.

At bedtime guests can choose from two fantastic bedrooms, with the double bedroom having it's own tv, perfect for chilling out and catching up on your favourite telly.

Waking up at Ty Y Mor is a delight with the beaches of Seahouses on the doorstep and the village and harbour just a short walk.

Forming part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the surrounding region is just asking to be discovered with miles of sandy beaches and daily boat trips to Farne islands where you can look out for birds and seals.

Further afield there are magnificent castles to discover such as Dunstanburgh, Warkworth, Lindisfarne and Cragside, with towns such as the historic market town of Alnwick; Alnmouth known for its excellent golf course; and Bamburgh with its infamous castle.

A bustling, pretty fishing village with an attractive harbour, situated on the beautiful Northumbrian coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Seahouses offers a variety of shops and a good selection of inns, pubs and eating places. Nearby are miles and miles of splendid sandy beaches and the opportunity to visit the bird sanctuary or seal colony on the famous Farne Islands with boat trips running daily from Seahouses, is not to be missed. There are numerous castles and great houses to explore, such as the magnificent castles at Bamburgh, Cragside, and Alnwick (home of the Duke of Northumberland), to mention just a few. Golf, fishing and riding are also available locally.
