  • "We had a wonderful stay at no."

10 Ladbroke Street. A snug, warm & cosy, blissfully quiet & peaceful place to stay. The beds were so comfy & we all slept like logs. This apartment is very generously equipped with all that's needed, a real home from home. In addition, it was squeaky clean throughout with thoughtful decor designed for comfort & ease of access to Amble Harbour, alongside easy & ample roadside parking. Amble is a very beautiful town & community, everybody we encountered here, without exception were warm, friendly, & so welcoming. An absolute delight. We would definitely recommend No. 10 as an ideal place to stay in the beautiful county of Northumberland & we would recommend No. 10 in a hummingbird's heartbeat with Wendy & Derek as the perfect hosts.

  • "Really enjoyed our stay in No 10 and the weather was glorious!"

The cottage is in an excellent position….just yards from the promenade and beach in one direction, and the pubs in the other direction! The cottage was spotless and had all the amenities, including a welcome basket! My only complaint was there was no garden for our dog….just a very tiny backyard. We would, though, be happy to stay there again.

AMBLE

Warkworth 1 mile; Alnmouth 4 miles.

The bustling little seaport of Amble is situated at the mouth of the River Coquet and is an ideal place for exploring Northumberland. Historically a centre for boatbuilding, Amble offers a marina, a harbour, sandy beaches and coastal walks to the bird sanctuary at Hauxley and country park at Druridge Bay. Large fishing boats moor along the harbour wall and land a variety of fish, prawns, crabs and lobsters. There is a fish centre on the side of the harbour that is now primarily a shell fish hatchery to re-stock levels of lobster and other shell fish, this sells local fish and is open to the public. A mile south of Amble is Coquet Island, an RSPB reserve with a large population of terns, puffins and eider ducks and boat trips around the island can be arranged. The pretty coastal villages of Alnmouth and Craster and numerous superb beaches are only a short drive away, whilst picturesque Warkworth with its castle, charming Alnwick with its castle and award-winning gardens, and the National Trust’s Wallington Hall and Cragside are all within easy reach.
