The conversion has been done to a really high standard and the furniture and fittings are excellent. The cottage was warm, cosy, and very comfortable with every item needed for a weeks stay. We were warmly met by the owner, who lives on site, and given a tour of the property and informed of the local facilities and attractions. We enjoyed our stay at the cottage and used it as abase to explore the area. Thank you Di for a great holiday.

A bit of road noise from the farm traffic but this didn't impact on our stay. Good location for trips out.

) So easy to have a lovely breakfast at Doddington Hall or Pennell's, nice pub nearby (North Scarle) and easy to zip up to lovely Lincoln and beyond. Next time we hope to see the horses out in the field...and the bathroom SHOWER...just a delight. Thank you Di for making us so welcome and thank you for the adorable Christmas tree in the living room.

We love the property for its location (convenient for both countryside and town), cleanliness and the fact that it is so well equipped. The owners have given a lot of thought into converting the property, and the personal touches such as biscuits and milk - and introducing themselves to you on arrival - make the Dairy that extra bit special.

The shower was amazing, the wood burner was great for an autumn evening and there were so many little touches that the owner did that made our stay so pleasant that I couldn’t praise this place enough. The road is a little noisy but nothing that spoiled our vacation.

Fi was a fantastic host, availavle when needed and checked in throughout the week. Secure walled garden for the dog. However wouldn’t be suitable for escape artists or jumpers as right next to a busy road. There is a walking area around the horses paddock and lots of nature spots within a few minutes drive for longer walks. Lincoln itself is super dog friendly and we enjoyed visiting the cathedral and cafes.

Had everything you needed only little garden and terrace. The bathroom was bug and spacious and shower was amazing. The bed was comfy and a good size and the kitchen, living, diner was perfect for the two of us and the dog. It is in a lovely area with views of countryside and the bonus paddock for walking the dog round. Not far to get to Lincoln and for visiting places and shopping. The Di was absolutely fantastic and made the stay even more superb. She introduced herself was so bubbly and helpful giving tips on dog walks and things to do. • "Diane and Gills place is outstanding."

Quaint, Secluded, Picturesque are three words that describe this cottage. I especially loved the fields surrounding the diary and the horses. Diane was hospitable, kind and pleasant and made us feel so at home. Would recommend this place and most certainly be back.

  • "The Diary was a total surprise to us - a well equipped one bed apartment in a converted diary."

Our host Di was very welcoming and helpful. Despite the 7C outside, we were cosy and warm throughout. Comfortable bed, new large bathroom and full kitchen. We couldn’t have asked for more. Easy drive to Lincolnshire towns. This area is a mobile black spot but we only used wifi while in. Fantastic five nights! One day, we’ll be back!

  • "Important things first - We would recommend to anyone!"

Hosts Di and Gill are lovely and could not do enough for us. Lovely little cottage, immaculately clean, everything you will need for a few days - week away. This is a new conversion, everything is spotless and new but tastefully converted in a sympathetic way. Kitchen, dinner, living area is a nice size ( just right for 2 adult + dog or toddler).Entry is by a double French door into this area with uncluttered floor space in the entry way. This was very handy for the dog crate, shoes etc. Everything you need in the kitchen dinner for food storage and prep, with space to move around. Please note -cutlery is stored in a pull out section under the hob. Living area incorporates a 2 seater settee, rocking chair, TV and a nice wood burning stove. There are also electric wall heater in each room so we did not require the stove. Bathroom is spacious with walk in shower which has both over head and standard shower.Good pressure and temperature. Heated mirror which is useful. Nice large comfortable bed sat in a spacious room with wardrobe storage. Outside space is a walled and gated area ideal for small dogs comprising of a stone flagged seating area which runs the full length of the cottage and a semi circular stone chipped area with flower beds. Two nice pubs serving real ales within a mile - 2 miles both of which serve good "pub grub" at reasonable prices. Other pubs and a Chinese restaurant in the local vicinity. Ideally placed for both Lincoln and Newark.
