  • "This was our 2nd visit this year its so peaceful just the place to recharge, we seen Deer , rabbits, pheasant, now they have got live tv its even better than was in May hopefully be back next year ."

  • "There are five lodges on this property, the site is well maintained with lots of green space and is very quiet and private."

    It is next to a stable yard and 'exercise ring', although when we were there we did not see any activity. The accommodation was excellent, clean modern, very well equipped and comfortable. We went in April, when it was not warm, but the heating in Holly Lodge was brilliant, so we were really cosey. The two ensuite bedrooms were 'compact' but very comfortable, with plenty of storage and they were light and airy, the beds were great. The open plan lounge / kitchen had panoramic views, through a large full length glass wall, with patio doors onto a balcony and views across an open green area to a row of trees. We saw deer, rabbits and many species of birds. Loved it!

  • "Holly lodge was a very clean, warm and comfortable lodge, especially the bed."

    However, we were very unhappy to find that we were unable to access Freeview Play on the TV. Surely a TV ariel should be installed. We could only access TV on the apps, and we could only see live TV on BBC i player. We had taken our ipads with us, and ended up watching most of the tv programmes that we wanted on them, which isn't good enough. Apart from that we enjoyed our holiday, but wouldn't go back because of the TV situation.

    Clear instructions on how to get to, and into the lodges. Local area beautiful and very quiet. Much better than a hotel. Highly recommended.

  • "Lovely modern, well furnished and equipped property in a very quiet and tranquil setting."

    Had a great break away there and great location for visiting the local area and towns, thanks. Considerations for property owners: 1. Need clear sign to property entrance - hedge obscures gate and ended up down drive to neighbouring houses. 2. Guttering directly above centre of front door leaking heavily. 3. A corner storage rack/ shelf in the main shower would be useful. 4. Bed far too soft. 5. No advance notice workmen were working on site on adjacent stables. On one occasion, road was blocked by lorry delivering concrete slabs so unable to drive down to lodge whilst machines unloaded the lorry. Had to park on road and walk down to lodge. 6. Pub in village now shut so no use to visitors wanting a walk out.

  • "Absolutely stunning lodge in an amazing tranquil location, and felt very safe & secure."

    Looks even better in real life. Lovely decking with furniture to enjoy Spotlessly clean & modern. Everything supplied & if you needed extra the town centre was only a short drive away. The owner was only a phone call away if you needed help, which we didn’t. The icing on the cake was we had beautiful weather to make the most of this bright, airy accommodation . Would certainly return & recommend.

  • "We were at Holly lodge for 2 weeks which is a decent amount of time to know if it was lacking anything."

    Apart from a corkscrew it did not disappoint. The host was very helpful and it is in a fine location close to the A46 and local places of interest.
