The property

7 Catcliffe Cottages is a charming four-storey cottage nestled in Bakewell, Derbyshire.

Providing a welcoming base for families and friends who wish to explore the Peak District National Park, this abode boasts countryside views and a toasty woodburning stove.

Arriving along a charming row of stone cottages, you can pull into your designated parking place and walk towards the inviting green door of 7 Catcliffe Cottages.

Woodland views frame the backdrop and give a hint of the scenery that surrounds this Bakewell retreat.

Once inside, you step straight into the sitting area, where the large TV catches the eye and the warm atmosphere encourages you to drop your bags and settle in.

A staircase draws you down to the lower ground floor where the utility room provides a practical space to organise muddy boots and outdoor layers, with a microwave, fridge and washing machine at hand.

A door leads out to the rear yard where secure storage offers a safe spot for bikes.

Back on the ground floor, you move through to the dining area where the wooden table invites leisurely meals with your group.

As you open the patio doors, fresh Peak District air flows in and you can step onto the balcony where outdoor furniture lets you pause and look across the landscape before heading back inside.

A few steps lead up to the kitchen which sits slightly elevated from the dining space.

Here you can prepare dishes using the electric oven and induction hob, keep ingredients cool in the fridge and make use of the dishwasher once the plates are cleared away.

Taking the stairs to the first floor, you arrive at the first super king size bedroom where an exposed brick chimney adds character and a door opens to reveal dedicated hanging space.

Wooden flooring ties the room together and creates a warm and natural feel underfoot.

The bathroom on this level gives you the choice of a long soak in the bath or a refreshing moment beneath the large walk in shower.

Follow the staircase once again and you reach the second super king size bedroom where stunning countryside views spill through the windows.

This room features another exposed brick chimney, a hanging rail and its own en suite WC, creating an appealing and convenient space for guests who enjoy a little extra privacy.

When you are ready to enjoy the outdoors, the front patio offers a peaceful place to sip your morning drink before setting off.

A shop, a welcoming pub and the riverside can all be reached with a short stroll, giving you essentials close at hand and plenty of ways to enjoy the local area.

Exploring further reveals some of Derbyshire’s finest attractions.

Chatsworth lies within easy reach and offers grand rooms filled with art, sweeping gardens that lead you through hidden corners and open lawns, and the chance to watch deer grazing across the parkland.

The historic town of Matlock presents riverside paths and hillside viewpoints, along with the charm of independent shops and cafés.

A trip to Buxton rewards you with elegant architecture, the leafy stretches of the Pavilion Gardens and the chance to wander through the impressive limestone caverns that sit beneath the town.

7 Catcliffe Cottages places you within the scenic heart of the Peak District and offers a welcoming base for families and friends looking to enjoy both the comfort of a charming cottage and the adventure of its remarkable surroundings.
