"I booked this for the beginning of December as a surprise for my partners birthday, from the very beginning the hosts were so accommodating and helped me achieve the visions I had for the weekend."
The site itself is easy to find, very private and discrete, and absolutely beautiful. There’s only two usb charging cables and limited power when overcast, but that really did not bother either of us. The hut gets so cosy and warm within 10 minutes of the log fire starting, as well as the hot tub. Both easy to maintain.
Would 100% recommend booking with these, they’ve started something genuinely beautiful! Be back soon

"We had a nice stay and the owners were very attentive and helpful."
The views and location were perfect. So isolated and private and beautiful sunset/ sunrise. The bed was really comfy and the log burner inside heated up quickly and kept it nice and warm. Super dog friendly and really secure and we felt comfortable letting him roam. Lots of nice little touches like the shortbread, cards etc.
It was very hard to find especially in the dark as no signposts. I think the directions could be updated with the name of the farm etc unless we missed that! But again after a phone call the owners were really helpful in directing.
Only downside really was the hot tub. We couldn't use the hot tub on the first night as after heating it 3 hours later it still wasn't hot so take that into account when staying. It also had lots of leaves and flies inside. Not a fault but more just to make others aware, It took a lot of maintenance and watching it for 3ish hours unattended and adding more logs which was quite awkward as we wanted to use it but also wanted to go out and do things. Not a fault as it is advertised as this but just incase you were unaware like we were I thought it's useful to know.
WiFi was good but only one USB available when in use and no plug sockets.
It was nice stay but did feel more like a 'Glamping' experience and maybe slightly overpriced compared to other places we have been.
However we can't fault the owners and the efforts they made to have a nice stay. Thanks ☺️
Many thanks for your lovely feedback, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay.
We have had a look at our directions and log burner instructions and hopefully made it clearer to people. There definitely is a knack to the hot-tub and should take about 2 hours once the fire is stoked so hopefully it's easier for future guests. We do also ensure the water is fresh and clean when we prep for guests but the blustery weather may have gotten some extra leaves in this time - apologies for this! Again, thank you for staying with us and for sharing your experience as it definitely helps us cater for future guests.

"Absolutely stunning location and was exactly what we needed, the quiet, the escape and the ability to just switch off."
Relatively easy to find following the instructions but a sign opposite the entrance to the hit may help as we c drove past this initially and despite knowing about it on a return trip missed it a second time as it sends quite hidden as you come up the track.
Would definitely stress to other guests this cabin sits between top end clamping and a Shepards hut getaway. There’s only one USB type socket across the property, so leave your hairdryers etc, and the fridge is only really small so avoid bringing lots of bits that require a refrigerator as it won’t fit.
The hot tub is a lovely addition but you will need to stay with it to warm it up and it can take a while, we thought we could set a fire and go out for a walk for it to be warm on return but this isn’t the case (Maybe the addition of some insulated foam to the cover may help with heat escape and time it takes to warm up), also have noted that people had mentioned leaves, this looked more to us like sediment build up from the pipes as only became visible to us once water was circulating with the heat.
We may have been stupid, but is there heating within the cabin beyond lighting the log fire? We couldn’t find instructions and the panel that we thought may have worked a little generator didn’t work.
Despite all of the above, these are only little niggles, I’d definitely come back again despite these.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback and your great suggestions, it really does help us to make improvements for our guests. There are some things we can't change due to the site and not being on mains electric, etc, but we will definitely be looking into what you have said.
Take care and we hope to host you again soon!

"A lovely cosy cabin in a beautiful setting with stunning views all around."
It was very peaceful and quiet which is just what we needed to unwind from the stresses of everyday life. The accommodation had everything we needed for our weekend stay, it was warm and cosy and the bed was very comfortable. The hot tub was a nice extra although we only used it briefly on our first night as the weather wasn't great (storm Amy
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such lovely feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed yourselves - in spite of the storm!

"Very relaxing & enjoyable stay at the coop."
We were surrounded by the most stunning scenery perched on a hill. Perfectly enclosed & gated area ideal for our dog to run free. Log burner is so toasty & quickly heats the coop. Wood fired Hot tub amazing & heats up very quickly. Shower was excellent & very powerful. Ideal place to detach from the stresses of everyday life & if you want to catch up on any tv etc bring a tablet & a good data package & you are set. You have to be prepared to be creative with your culinary skills due to limited ways in which to cook, but this is advertised prior to booking. We had fun discovering just how creative you can be. Baking potatoes wrapped in foil & dropped into the fire pit. To sum up the coop was ideal for us & we highly recommend it for a relaxing break. We were fortunate to have exceptionally good weather.
Thank you for your fantastic feedback and your helpful comments for future guests - we will have to try the potatoes ourselves, they sound great!

"Such a lovely property!"
Very small and cosy. The hot tub gets really warm and we made the most of it during our stay with bad weather. The views of the land are also beautiful. Would stay again!
Only downside is there’s only 2 USB ports. Would be great to have a microwave as it opens up food options & a mirror for convenience. ☺️
Thank you for your great feedback and are so glad the hot tub can be enjoyed even in the poorer weather. We are limited on electrics due to being a solar powered site but we have added a mirror so thank you for your suggestion.

"Had a lovely 3 night stay at the Coop."
Managed to find it no problem using the owners handy instructions and the setting is absolutely beautiful! Not another soul around apart from a pack of cows that me and my boyfriend enjoyed watching mooch around. The wood fired hot tub is a little tricky to get right but that is our fault not the places I would definitely recommend setting it off 2 hours before you want to get in on the first day as it takes a while to heat up and if you are staying for a while maybe drain and refill the tub if this is allowed? I slept great the only criticism is there are a lot of flies but the owners do provide you with fly spray and a swatter in the cupboard but this is bound to happen on a farm and the views out way this. I also would recommend a mirror being put up or taking one with you as there isn’t one in the lodge. Again such a minor inconvenience but I didn’t realise how much I use one until it was taken away! The pubs are fantastic near by and a very relaxing three day stay.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback, and we are so thrilled you enjoyed it so much. Also, we will get a mirror sorted, we can't believe it never crossed our minds that we hadn't installed one, so thank you for mentioning!

"The Coop was absolutely lovely - Well finished with a high attention to detail (the biscuits and bottle of Asti were a lovely surprise) and amazing location (if looking for a relaxed retreat and somewhere off-grid - Super quiet surroundings and peaceful)."
Lovely long drive up to the Coop and tucked out of the way, the only noise was from the cows and the occasional tractor driving past! Outdoor decking area was huge along with the patio and enclosed grass area so plenty of room to sit out. Hot tub was nice and easy to operate, just took 2 hours to warm up on the first night so bear this in mind but after this warmed up relatively quickly + lots of wood provided to keep it going. Cutlery, plastic glasses etc are provided.
Only negative we had and no fault of the owners, was the abundance of flies we walked into when we first accessed the property (due to the farm and cow fields this lodge looks over) and the constant influx of these into the property over our weekend here (something we also mentioned to them). There was a fly swatter and spray provided to help remove these which was helpful, however I found I spent a lot of time removing the flies which was a real shame and became a bit of a pain. AGAIN NO FAULT OF THE OWNERS!
All in all, amazing stay and scenic setting - Perfect for anniversary weekend. Some lovely walks to do nearby too, just bear in mind you’ll probably need to drive somewhere to get something to eat if you’re not planning on cooking/BBQing - All are included within a handy booklet/folder found within The Coop.
Hosts were great and accommodating over text + there if we ever needed anything but most importantly left us to enjoy our weekend!
Couldn’t recommend enough!!
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. We really appreciate you taking the time to detail this and include such helpful information for future guests. Once again we want to say how much we enjoyed hosting you and wish you all the best.

We will definitely be back. (Only negative was a lot of flies but completely not your fault due to farm location!)
Thank you for your feedback we are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay. We are sorry to hear about the flies, the extreme heat this week has meant there's been a few more about. If you do stay with us again, please let us know of any issues that crop up whilst on your stay and we can try to rectify them. Enjoy the rest of your summer and we hope to welcome you back soon!

"We loved our stay at The Coop and will definitely be back!"
It was a lovely secluded area, it had everything you could need in the kitchen and we were pleasantly surprised by the bathroom facilities, with plenty of hot water for showers. We came with our dog who loved the large secure space to run around as well. The only thing to note is that the directions on the booking weren't quite right, though this may user error. Our only (very minor) request for the future would be a hook or similar to keep the door open.
Thank you so much for your feedback! We're so glad you enjoyed your stay. The hook is a great suggestion thank you and we'll have a look at the directions again.
