Beautiful cottage in idyllic location with countryside views and within easy reach of amenities and places of interest.

The cottage was absolutely superb. It was very clean with comfy furnishings,beds and bedding. The kitchen was very spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. There was a delightful welcome basket along with their own fresh farm eggs and some pretty fresh flowers

We love coming to this cottage it is so lovely and clean there is everything we need in it we will be coming back to stay again and there is a very good bus service outside the gate we use the owners are so lovely and helpful if we need anything

Wonderful cottage, extremely clean.

Roomy with a a well organised kitchen, plenty of utensils etc; Nicely placed for visiting for all the main sights. Would recommend to everyone.

The cottage was of an exceptionally high standard.

A beautiful spacious kitchen and so relaxing. The property was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and tastefully furnished. We felt at home the moment we walked through the door. We were there during the very warm week in May and sat outside enjoying the peaceful views until sunset each evening.

We stayed at this cottage last year and remembered why we wanted to come back as soon as we walked through the door.

It is a beautiful, spacious cottage, very well equipped with stunning views across the countryside. We still have places around that area we would like to see, so may well be back again. Thank you Sam and Emily for a wonderful stay, (and the goats for entertaining us).

Property very clean.

Location really good Emma and Sam really friendly. If being picky Could do with a iron . But loved the holiday grandkids fell in love with the cows. Will go back for certain. Great bus service for getting about.

The cottage was spacious and comfortable with everything you would need, it was in an idyllic position with great outlook, the cows, goats and chickens were lovely to see along with plenty of wildlife, would highly recommend this accommodation.

The weather was awful but we didn't mind because the cottage and (top notch) facilities were so nice we enjoyed staying in to admire the views/atmosphere.

As we said in the guest book, if the property came up for sale as a residence, we would put in an offer there and then. A peaceful retreat from the rat race.

The property was spotless, warm and welcoming, thanks for the basket of goodies.

Especially the milk in the fridge, after a very long drive a cuppa was needed. Beautiful views all around. Good location for visiting places on our list. Lots of walks nearby.

The cottage is immaculate, beautifully furnished and equipped, and very comfortable. The views from every window are amazing. We would not hesitate to recommend Fold Lane Farm and look forward to going back again soon.

What a great place for a holiday.

The house was more impressive than the photos revealed and very well maintained. We were staying in late March and experienced warm sunny days on one hand and snow on the other hand. The house had everything we needed for the weather conditions including under floor heating log fire and central heating for upstairs. A great deal of thought has obviously been put into property ensuring a comfortable stay for 6 people, which certainly worked for our visit. Without a shadow of doubt we will be visiting Folds Lane again.

Perfect for our week away. It had everything that we needed and a great location for visiting local attractions.

A beautiful, comfortable and spotlessly clean house.

It is well equipped in a peaceful location with wonderful views. It is ideally located for days out. We hosted a family lunch and all our guests commented on how lovely the farmhouse was. Emily and Sam were perfect hosts and we wouldn't hesitate recommending Fold Lane Farmhouse. Debi and Rkn

The cottage was lovely, very clean and well equipped in a lovely peaceful location with stacks to do in the area.

A welcome basket greeted us containing Derbyshire oatcakes, eggs and lollipops! We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend Folds Lane Farmhouse. The following comments are by no means deal breakers and on the whole did not detract too greatly from our enjoyment of the holiday. We appreciate the welcome basket but milk would be lovely and practical. We stayed in winter and experienced some cold weather. Upstairs was very toasty warm with temperature controlled radiators but we ended up turning to zero overnight to avoid being woken by noise in bedrooms from the boiler / central heating. Unfortunately the underfloor heating didn't appear to be functional in the sitting room which meant we had to light the fire every evening to be able to use the room. We found plenty of logs for sale at the Community Food Bank bookstore and cafe. We cooked every night and could have used some additional serving dishes / ovenproof dishes as the only one provided was very large.

We very enjoyed our stay, the accommodation has everything you need and is just as photographed and described.

The log fire in the lounge is great. Location is good too. The owners were accessible when needed and otherwise left us to enjoy our stay.

Folds Lane Farm is a lovely place to stay so lovely and clean there is everything we needed in there would recommend this place to anyone this is our second time we have stayed here we will be going back again kind regards Linda

The property has a wow factor as soon as you walk through the door.

Wonderful large well equipped kitchen. Comfortable sitting room. Cottage has everything you need and more for a wonderful holiday. Owners have developed cottage to a high standard, really enjoyed have already booked again for next year. The goats will keep you entertained.

What a beautiful cottage in a bucolic setting and a welcoming feeling as soon as you enter the doorway.

Emily and Sam have done a great job fitting out the rooms with large comfy beds and a well equipped huge kitchen which was the focal point of our stay here. Every room was clean and fresh and tastefully decorated. With a footpath virtually on the doorstep there is easy access to the local reservoirs and town. Great views from Cats Tor and Shining Tor. Buxton and Lyme (National Trust) are both a short drive away and not to be missed. Although next to a working farm, we hardly noticed any noise; waking up to the odd bleating sheep was actually quite nice and the goats outside the kitchen window provided great entertainment! Would we go back - definitely.

From the moment we walked through the door we knew we would have a lovely stay.

A wonderful spacious holiday house with everything we needed and lots of lovely touches. A great location for exploring locally and further a field in the car. We've had a great week, thank you.

A comfortable and clean cottage presented to a high standard.

Ideally located to explore the Peak District for hiking and sightseeing. Walks from the cottage as well as further afield.Quiet location even though it’s on a working farm and near to the road. We will definitely return to stay here again.

Beautiful property.

Obviously very recently refurbished to a high standard, the house was clean and comfortable and very well equipped. Two minor negatives, no shade in outside seating area and a light (practically street light!) on outside the bedroom windows. This meant closing the curtains to keep the light out and waking in the dark rather than the beautiful early morning light. Great location for beautiful walks in the Goyt valley and around the reservoirs. close to beautiful Buxton

Lovely cottage so comfy beautifully furnished high quality well equipped and absolutely spotless so welcoming with lovely gifts thank you so much the location is Ideal for exploring the peak district we had many great days out using the bus service which stops at the top of the drive would highly recommend this place can't wait for our next visit kind regards Linda Johnson

What a beautiful place, just wow.

The views are stunning, with the added bonus of cows, goats, horses and sheep. My little boy certainly enjoyed looking at all the animals. A peaceful place to relax. The cottage itself has everything you needed, three very generous sized rooms and we loved the open planned kitchen diner, lots of space for a toddler to potter around. Will definitely be back again. We had a lovely week staying at Folds Lane cottage.

The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable with a superb location in the Goyt valley ,with several nearby walks and only a short distance from Buxton to the south and Edale, the hooe valley and Castleton to the north. We would recommend the property to anyone who wants a relaxing break in a rural location.

Very well equipped and comfortable. The only thing missing was a teapot! A most enjoyable stay.

Amazing cottage in a great location, the large kitchen was amazing with everything you needed for a great holiday, the beds were very comfortable for a good night’s sleep, three toilets were great especially for a large family, the welcome pack was very nice .

What a gem of a cottage!

Immaculate with all modern devices, hotel quality beds. Away from the main road, in a picturesque setting, but near to Whaley Bridge for provisions and some restaurant quality take away (you don’t always want to cook on holiday!) Great for walks and exploring the Peak District National Park and also Buxton on the doorstep with its beautiful architecture and parks, you won’t be bored, lots to see and do. I will definitely be booking here again!!

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Folds Lane.

We could not fault the property in any way. The setting and views were fabulous with the added attraction of three entertaining goats! The property was very comfortable and very clean with the best amenities we have ever had.

It’s well equipped, warm and cosy. Well located for exploring the Peak District, there's a nice walk from the farm to the nearby reservoir. We thoroughly explored Buxton and the surrounding area: the Millenium Walkway at New Mills, Luds' Church and Thor's Cave were highlights. We also took the train from Whaley Bridge to Manchester on a rainy day. We liked seeing goats from the kitchen window (mysteriously on alternate days – we think they probably have a day in another field). Thanks for a lovely holiday!

A beautiful house in a beautiful setting.

The owners have done a great job on this house. It’s warm and comfortable and there is nothing you need. They have thought of everything that you need throughout the house. Comfortable bed and a lovely view when you wake up in the morning. Lovely touches throughout the house and fresh flowers in the kitchen and landing upstairs. Very short drive into Buxton and Whaley Bridge. Half hour drive into Bakewell. Lovely walks nearby. Just a perfect break away. We were sad to leave. Will definitely go back.
