Beautiful house and garden had a lovely week here but return unfortunately as when we were choosing places to come to we thought Windyridge sounded like a small village but it wasn’t the road going in out was a 40 road which locals used as a 60 road very dangerous for dogs and children

The most beautiful house with the most beautiful scenery.

We had incredible weather so made great use out of the outdoor area. It was a beautiful host house for my hen party which were spending most of our time at Craic By The Creek Festival at Whitebottom Farm nearby. Would highly recommend this beautiful house x

Absolutely stunning house!

I booked this for myself and my bridesmaids the night before and the night of my wedding. We got ready there in the morning, and it was absolutely perfect. I'm so, so glad we chose Windyridge! It was so good, we're talking about getting together there again soon!

Beautiful accommodation with outstanding views.

Extremely well equipped kitchen, comfortable clean beds and bedding (Only one star deduction as unable to shut and lock side door overnight, probably swollen?) But overall excellent!

Windyridge first impressions - stunning.

The house was impressive and beautiful. There was 8 of us staying for a 40th party and the facilities was brilliant. We used the hot tub every day and was a brilliant addition to the cold and wet weather we had in November. There are plenty of lovely walks surrounding the house that you don't need to drive to if you didn't want to. Jen who I was in contact with was very accommodating when I had questions and she even (very kindly) posted my charger back to me as I had left it

Lovely accommodation, nice and warm for a cold November stay.

Owner Jen was very helpful. Good to have the AGA cooker as we had a power cut for a few hours but were still nice and warm and could make hot drinks. Hopefully will visit again in better weather to make use of the outside area and local walks.

Windy Ridge had all the amenities that we needed for our stay.

We were comfortable, had so many facilities as shared on the listing. So much space and beautiful views. The property was very quiet and a lovely relaxing location.

Superb!

The house and gardens are just stunning and everything you need is catered for. Jen & Paul are lovely and on hand if you need help with anything. The location is perfect for exploring, pretty villages, scenic country walks and an abundance of dog friendly pubs serving amazing food.

The property itself is in a fantastic location, and was generally quite comfortable.

We had an issue with wasps at the property - the owners did what they could to help, but it really needs a professional to intervene. The property listing also described the garden as being enclosed, however that wasn’t the case. The games room is also lacking, and the arcade machine doesn’t work.

The property was perfect for what we needed.

Really loved the area it was situated and the facilities like the hot tub made the weekend even better. Cleanliness was apparent throughout and it was so comfortable. Thank you and will definitely use again.

We all had a very enjoyable stay at windy Ridge it had everything that we needed .

The grandchildren made the most of the open space and the rest of us enjoyed the fabulous views the house was stunning and certainly would come come back again.

This was the perfect peak district getaway with a couple of friends.

The owners are lovely and make sure everything is allright for your stay and if you have any question, they reply very quick! I would definitely come back if we are coming back to the peak district. The jacuzzi and barbeque were so nice with the first sunny weather of the year!

Excellent stay at Windy Ridge.

We were a party of 8 adults. Good position for walks around Glossop and Marple. All very clean, lovely beds, bedding etc. Well equipped kitchen. Nice hot tub. The only downside was the games room was literally an air hockey machine in a room in the garden. No dart board or any other games (there were board games in the house). Apart from that a great property.

Fantastic stay!

The cottage is beautiful, kitchen is fully equipped, bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The grounds of the cottage are very picturesque. The communication between the host has been great, couldn’t do enough for us! All in all a fantastic stay and we are looking to stay again next year possibly! Thanks Jen!

The cottage was lovely and very well-equipped.

However, it would be helpful to provide serving dishes and spoons, especially for family gatherings like Christmas or Easter, when a large meal is often prepared and served. We quickly adapted to using the Aga, which we really enjoyed. The hot tub was a delightful bonus, and we used it twice during our stay. We may consider booking the cottage again for a friend's get-together. The scenery is stunning, and there are plenty of great walking trails and charming country pubs nearby. The owners were very helpful and made us feel very welcome.

Our family recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at Windyridge, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect holiday cottage.

From the moment we arrived, the property was spotless and beautifully presented, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home. The layout was fantastic for our family’s needs, offering plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. One of our favorite features was the snug room—an ideal spot for the kids to retreat and play video games, giving us a much-needed break to unwind. And speaking of relaxation, the hot tub was a dream! We loved soaking in it each evening, unwinding under the stars after a full day of exploring. It really added a touch of luxury to our stay. The games room was another big hit, especially the air hockey table, which provided hours of competitive fun for all of us. Learning to use the AGA oven added a bit of novelty to our stay, and we actually had fun experimenting with it. The bedrooms were incredibly comfortable, making each night a restful one. Windyridge’s location is perfect for discovering the best of the surrounding area, yet it still feels like a peaceful escape. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Windyridge and left with wonderful memories. It’s a gem of a holiday cottage that we’d highly recommend to any family looking for a relaxing, well-equipped home away from home!
