  • "We absolutely loved our break at 'The Barn' at Chatsworth Farm."

    The owners of the Eco barn and adjacent farm, Elaine and Dominic, are wonderful hosts. If you want relaxation, comfort and extremely peaceful surroundings, then this is the place for you! I would easily give this property 5 stars. It is tastefully decorated throughout, clean, spacious, and had all the facilities we needed during our stay - plus more. Everything is done to put their guests' first. Thank you Elaine & Dominic, for such a fab stay!

  • "A well executed barn conversion with excellent eco credentials in a very peaceful location."

    Spotless, comfortable and well equipped. Rooms are a good size, except for the bathrooms which are minimalist, but adequate, with high quality fittings. Dominic and Elaine are welcoming hosts and there is a lot to see and do locally in the Potteries.

  • "If your looking for a tranquil stay, then this is the one for you!"

    Unfortunately, the drive down the track to the property is awful. 1st gear all the way and don't take a low car, you will scrape the bottom, this is explained on the booking. The property is a really high standard, exceptionally clean and well looked after. The kitchen has most things that you would need if you were to cook for yourselves however, take note that there is a fantastic pub a 5 minutes drive away called 'THE TOP PUB'. They do fantastic food, are very welcoming, and the main meals are so filling we never got to sample the desserts! Anyway, back to the review.... the downstairs shower room is very nice, the shower is really powerful, and the upstairs bath is very nice indeed. And proper bath sheets! Not a bath towel which is always a plus in my book! For us, the bed was only a double, ( plenty of room to upgrade to a king size) so we never felt very rested in the morning, Although the bedroom is nice and dark when you pull the blinds down, and so quiet. You are lucky if you hear a pin drop. The same goes for the settee's, they weren't very comfortable for us, either. I spent most of the time on the bean bags, one on top of the other. But don't be put off by these 2 minor things. You are centrally located if you want to have a tour round. And if you go out on the train, catch it at Stoke on Trent, but park at 'The West Car Park'. its a five minute walk to the station and the cheapest option. All in all its a lovely place to stay. You will enjoy it.

  • "We had a lovely stay at the Barn."

    Elaine and Dom were very welcoming and a handy pack of essentials was provided. The property was scrupulously clean, so much so that we felt like we were the first to stay there. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. I loved the electric range cooker and also the shower. The decor was minimal but in keeping with the place. There was a great selection of books and DVDs available. We had some meals out at local pubs and particularly recommend the Top Pub in Brown Edge. The only problem was that the sofas were not very comfy for us (we're both large people) and my partner had a bad back before we arrived which made it worse. The towels were small so take your own if you like big wrap-around towels for cosiness or dignity! Overall, this was a very good location with fabulous views. We liked the eco -credentials and the addition of an EV charger was very convenient and much appreciated. We even got to watch the horses in the field next door. Many thanks

  • "A lovely holiday home, very clean and comfy."

    I loved the mixture of modern minimalist and 1950s G plan furniture. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. Maybe some pictures on the walls to break up the white? Also some blinds in the kitchen would have stopped the sun streaming in. Not a big criticism as the place was lovely.

  • "The property was much smaller than the photos suggested."

    Although there was seating for 4 it wasn’t comfortable - you couldn’t relax with your feet up as you would wish on holiday. There were 2 toilets, neither of which had a toilet brush. There was nowhere in the upstairs bathroom to store toiletries or toothbrushes - no shelves or cupboards etc. The dressing table in the main bedroom was great but there were no plugs near it for a hair drier or straightener. It was a lovely property but the ‘basic’ things need to be thought about a bit more.

    We are sorry that you were disappointed. We have provided additional storage in the upstairs bathroom, in response to your review. It's a shame that you didn't contact us during your stay, on the number provided in the information folder.   • "Had a lovely quiet week here."

    Felt like middle of nowhere (Heaven) but only a few miles from town. Great for visiting local attractions. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Appreciated the excellent instructions for arrival. Possibly the best property we have stayed in. Only tip for visiting was while the shower was fantastic if you don’t like washing your hair daily bring a shower cap to make the most of it! We are sure if you choose this property you won’t be disappointed!

The Barn at Chatsworth Farm is a contemporary, eco barn conversion located in Lask Edge, near Horton, Staffordshire.

This two-bedroom abode is the perfect place to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the countryside, whilst offering an eco-friendly base for families, couples, and friends alike.

Inside, you'll find a stunning, grey brick floor with underfloor heating throughout, powered by a ground source heat pump, as well as scenic views enjoyable from every window.

The spacious kitchen/diner has high ceilings, exposed beams, and high-quality appliances including an electric Cuisinemaster Pro range cooker, which can help in rustling up your favourite home-cooked meals.

Gather around the table for four to reminisce about the day's adventures as you tuck into your dinner.

After busy days spent exploring, head straight into the utility to kick off your muddy boots, hang up your outerwear on the coat hooks, whilst a washer/dryer can also be used whenever your walking gear needs to be cleaned.

There's also a ground-floor wet room where you can freshen up right away before you head to unwind in the sitting room.

You'll find mid-century furniture throughout the property, which adds plenty of charm to this already relaxing space.

Pottery lovers will rejoice with a visit to The Gladstone Pottery Museum, whilst factory tours at World of Wedgwood, and Trentham Estate with Trentham Monkey Forest ensure there's something to please everyone.

Leek is also close by, where you can enjoy spending time in independent shops and cafés, including a deli, bookshop, wine shop and arts centre.

Be sure to explore Cheddleton Flint Mill, which dates to the Middle Ages, or wander The Nicholson Museum & Art Gallery.

The village is known for many annual events, including the Summer Fair in late June or early July, and offers a selection of attractions including Greenway Bank Country Park, Knypersley Reservoir, and Chatterley Whitfield Colliery Heritage Centre.
