Heath Corner

NOT ideal for persons with difficulty in going up stairs , they are very steep and narrow on the bend!

Te bathroom and toilet are downstairs from the bedrooms There is a leak in the toilet which is downstairs. the bathroom sink requires the plug washer replacing.

Our 3rd time here now comfy.

On arrival, the property was smaller than we had expected from the photos and the living room stank of mould, dogs, and bleach - we aired it for a couple of days and it was slightly better.

. We had to do a lot of cleaning, particularly inside kitchen cupboards as these were too dirty to store food. The fridge has seen better days but works well. The washing machine has been written off since at least the previous week (so mid December) which was a massive inconvenience with 2 kids in muddy weather, and no effort had been made to replace it, or even let us know. The owner kindly supplied some new kitchen items which were missing from the house, such as a cafetière, oven trays, and tea towels, and offered help sorting laundry facilities, which was appreciated. The shower was lovely and hot but like everything else, very stained and appeared to have been barely cleaned. The furniture was old and in a poor state. The rugs needed a good wash. The mattress still needs replacement. Wardrobes were full of unfolded piles of sheets and we found rubbish in drawers. The house decor includes numerous dusty ornaments and plastic flowers. I spilt a drop of milk on the dark Lino kitchen floor and when I wiped it up, the cloth came up black with engrained dirt….It was at least warm downstairs, and the plug in heaters were more than adequate to compensate for the lack of heating upstairs. I am sorry to say that I cannot recommend the property as I feel it needs a serious upgrade and a better cleaning routine. I’ve rented 30-odd cottages in the last 15 years and I cannot think of a worse one, so I regret to say we will not be returning.

A lovely cottage close to Knutsford and Tatton Park.

Warm and well equipped. Parking can be a problem. The Christmas tree was a nice thought.

This little cottage is in a great location, near eateries, shops and beautiful Tatton Park - perfect for dog walking - as was The Heath practically outside the front door.

The cottage was absolutely fine with the exception of the mattress on the king sized bed. It really does need replacing - I noticed many people have mentioned this in their reviews. The fridge freezer needs some air vents in the top and bottom of the housing it so that it works more efficiently. The can opener still doesn’t work properly and we bought a sieve (which we left for other clients). TV and internet were all great. Shower was really great too. A word of warning the stairs are quite steep. This is a cozy cottage which my feedback is only intended to give the owner something to contemplate. Please take the time to sleep on that mattress and you’ll see why I’ve mentioned it. All in all this was a lovely stay, it suited our needs (waiting for our conveyancing for our new home to be completed). It’s a cute little cottage which with a few little tweaks could be magnificent.

We had a lovely stay at Heath Corner, perfect location for exploring Knutsford.

The cottage has everything you need to make your,stay enjoyable, very homely, cosy and clean. It would have been handy if there had been a parking permit available, but apart from that can't fault it.

My third time staying here, just as enjoyable as ever.

The location is fantastic, easy walk into town, directly opposite the heath for dog owners. I will book again, ideal base for me whilst visiting family.

great location. Property needs some updating and minor maintenance. Numerous lights not working. No instructions on bins.( ie recycling ). tv pin protected no pin provided.

I was wanting to write an email if a form like this didn’t come.

On arrival the place was really not very clean at all and as we stayed and settled we started to notice more and more I have pictures I will also send but the bed where the slats are exposed is filthy and thick dust, the floor was filthy from the day we arrived all our socks and feet were black. Under the bed, the sofa, down any side/gap there was dirt and thick dust and clearly has only been cleaned around things. Every single bowl on the first night was dirty and had to be washed up, there was cutlery I pulled out to use stuck together with food, the dishwasher also worked on and off and had to wash pots and pans on and off that had come out of there. We gave the sofa a wipe one day and the cloth was black, down the side of the sofa which isn’t a big gap was filled with crumbs and dust. Had we not been in the middle of a renovation on our house and no where else to stay I would of left sooner, the whole place was filthy sadly and for me and my children it wasn’t somewhere I was happy with. This is a place that’s rented out and I get that but the cleaners coming in should be on this stuff and it’s the bare minimum to be cleaning

The property is in a fantastic location.

It was well equipped and comfortable. It was a little dirty and in need of some updating in places which would help improve the overall experience.

Beautiful little home

My second time here, and enjoyed it just as much as last time.

For me it's being dog friendly, and the location. I really enjoyed walking on the heath opposite, easy walk to the town centre, ten minute walk to Tatton park. Easy access to the motorway. Cottage has everything you need, it's clean and comfortable. Already booked again for next summer.

Cottage is ideally situated for the Heath and Tatton Park the dog was a happy boy.

While the cottage is comfortable there was a lack of attention to customer service. Bedding was crumpled, kitchen utensils needed washing before use , grill pan had not been cleaned from previous guests and there was no welcome pack so we had to go out for milk on arrival. There is a wasp issue meaning we could not open the bifold doors out to the rear which was a shame. However the village is great and the locals lovely and friendly so Knutsford still gets the thumbs up

Unfortunately there were a few ants in the kitchen but otherwise it was such an excellent property and we will be booking it again as such a great location for visiting my nephew and his family.

The place is so amazing loved our visit and definitely will book again. Loved it so much. Thank you for letting us rent it.

We had a lovely stay, the property is perfect for us and our Two dogs, close to our Son and walking into Knutsford and the Heath outside the front door, ensured a 'No Stress' stay.

We will definitely be back!

Lovely cottage in a great location.

Great for dog owners, directly opposite the heath. Easy walk into town. Well equipped, parking was no problem on the street nearby. Will go again.

Our third visit to Heath Cottage and we've already booked our fourth.

Knutsford is a great base and Heath cottage is ideally based. You open the door and you are on the Heath. A small walk to all the attractions of Knutsford.The cottage is well equipped with a bonus of large screen tv. Comfy king-sized bed, and a good heating system for the cooler months. Already looming to our next trip.

The cottage is well located and facilities excellent.

Love the little outdoor area. This is the second time we have stayed in the cottage as we have family in Knutsford. We didn’t have any problem with parking even with it being the market weekend. Great to have the iron, ironing board and hairdryer. Also I appreciated all the mirrors in the bedroom. Traffic can be a little noisy but this didn’t worry us as it is to be expected in such a central location. Would definitely stay again.

You fail to mention the nonstop roar of aircraft directly overhead, you say there is available on street parking, there isn't it's permit holder only monday to saturday.

There is a small strip of road nearby that is limited to 1 hour. Further afield the roads are totally gridlocked with parked cars. I ended up ¼ mile away. Morning and evening rush hour, it's beldam there are cars parked right up to the junction, so there is much blasting of horns, and some quite foul language from some drivers. I was actually quite glad when it became necessary for me to check out early. I did inform the person named in the visitor book. The Cottage its self is very nice and well cared for. It's a shame the Holiday experience was spoilt by the things you didn't bother to tell me.

Heath Corner is a lovely cottage in the picturesque village of Knutsford.

The property is of good size, clean and well equipped and in a location to provide an excellent vacation. The heath is opposite the front door for walking our dog and there are plenty of walks in or near Knutsford. The property is well heated with the extra bonus of a 65" telly to enjoy in the evening. I would recommend this property 100%

Property was in a great location within walking distance of restaurants which we loved.

Also good transport links to larger cities, we would stay again when we come back to the area

Location of Heath Corner was excellent, direct and easy walking access to main town centre, with its excellent choice of bars and restaurants.

Close to train station and public transport. Perfect for pet friendly stay, with the Heath directly across the road from the house. Parking wasn’t as difficult as other reviews had led us to believe. Amenities including smart tv with sky tv, kitchen, outdoor seating were all fantastic. Only negative was the fridge, which didn’t keep our dogs food cold. We would definitely recommend for anyone staying in Knutsford and will hope to use on our next visit.

The location is great however very difficult to find parking.

The cottage needs updating inside old furniture a chair in the front room grubby. The bedroom was full of cobwebs floor had bits of debris and the stairs not easy to manage. The whole nick nacks everywhere I don’t get.

Close to town centre of Knutsford with a heath just across the road to walk our dogs. Central to Cheshire so easy to travel to many interesting places.

We stayed in the house during the warmest week.

Cooling the rooms was not easy. Lovely place to stay. Everything we needed was there.
