The Granary is a charming circa 1740 barn conversion situated down a tranquil country lane on the edge of High Legh, Cheshire.

Surrounded by scenic walks and fields, this delightful retreat offers off-road parking for five cars, a small pond, and welcomes two well-behaved pets, making it perfect for families or groups of friends.

Upon entering the property, you will be greeted by a delightfully spacious kitchen/diner fully equipped for all your culinary needs.

Adjacent to this, you will find a handy utility room housing a washing machine, tumble dryer, and freezer, perfect for longer stays.

The sitting room is an inviting retreat crafted for ultimate relaxation, featuring a plush corner sofa, an additional sofa, and a Smart TV, all thoughtfully arranged around a centrally placed woodburning stove set within a charming inglenook fireplace.

For a touch of friendly competition, head to the games area, where the warmth of the woodburning stove creates an inviting atmosphere.

Here, a pool table awaits lively matches, while a snug armchair offers a perfect spot for those who’d rather sit back and enjoy the action.

For quieter moments, retreat to the snug, furnished with two beanbags and a Smart TV, making it the perfect spot for younger guests.

A convenient cloakroom with a basin and WC completes the ground-floor layout.

As you ascend the staircase, you’ll discover five beautifully appointed bedrooms, each radiating charm with exposed wooden beams and offering ample storage space for all your holiday essentials.

The master bedroom is a sanctuary of elegance, complete with an en-suite featuring a freestanding bath, walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, and WC.

The second bedroom, designed with flexibility in mind, offers a zip/link double bed and an en-suite with a walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, and WC.

Two additional double bedrooms provide tranquil retreats for catching your rest, while the final double bedroom enjoys the convenience of its own en-suite with a walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, and WC.

A well-equipped family bathroom with a bath, basin, heated towel rail, and WC conveniently serves the remaining bedrooms, ensuring comfort for all guests.

Outside, the property continues to impress with its lush lawn, bordered by open fields and furnished for alfresco dining, allowing guests to savour meals amidst the soothing sounds of nature.

For added entertainment, a table tennis setup awaits for friendly matches.

Unwind in the hot tub and let your cares drift away as you soak beneath a starlit sky, embracing the serenity of this tranquil escape.

For those who can pull themselves away from the comfort of The Granary, the local area offers a perfect blend of entertainment and relaxation.

Built in 1832, nearby Arley Hall & Gardens offers a romantic, walled garden and quirky woodland, or you can visit Lymm Dam to experience water-based activities for all ages, following it up with a trip to the quintessential Grade I-listed, Lymm Cross.

Lymm Village provides a wealth of delightful shops, traditional pubs and inviting cafés, offering opportunities for leisurely strolls and browsing.

Afterwards, get hands-on experience with minuscule steam locomotives at High Legh Miniature Railway or, depending on the time of year, head to the Geronimo Festival, the largest children's festival in the UK packed full of exciting activities.

As each day ends, return to your serene retreat at The Granary to reminisce, unwind and make plans for the days yet to come.

Had a lovely weekend, lovely and warm on arrival.

We did not appreciate the dynamic pricing that we generated ourselves innocently and when I raised it with Sykes I was told you could not over ride the computer. We also did not appreciate the window cleaner cleaning our windows whilst we were still in bed at 7.30am.

Lovely house with great facilities and a very well-equipped kitchen.

The courtyard was a nice place to relax. A few improvements would make the stay even better. The hot water ran out when several people were using it, the living room rug is a trip hazard, and the bathroom doors would benefit from locks. We were also disappointed that the land at the back is private and unavailable to guests, as this wasn’t very clear and would be better separated with a physical partition rather than just signs. There was also no TV, which was disappointing for the older members of our group. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property.
