Had a wonderful relaxing week.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lake View Barn.

We have stayed at several cottages around UK but Lake View Barn was by far the most clean and tidy property. My husband loved the fresh smell of diffuser in the living room and toilets. Mel was a very helpful and sweet host. Thanks for the welcome treats, Mel. It was an excellent, relaxing holiday for us. Hot tub and games table was enjoyed by the family. We will definitely go back!

Lake View Barn is a fantastic property - so clean and spacious.

The hot tub was superb- and the view of the lake from the hot tub is amazing. The location is excellent- easy access from Macclesfield railway station and easy to get into Alderley Edge too. The Blacksmith Arms pub just down the road does a superb Sunday lunch! Very well stocked kitchen with plenty of utensils- although we’d have loved a pizza cutter!!! Instructions on how to work the cooker and microwave may also be useful- however the ice maker in the freezer was an absolute winner! Would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again.

Great stay at Lake View barn.

Gave us a perfect base to explore the Peak District, and into Macclesfield itself just an hour's walk or 5 minute drive away. Owners were helpful when needed too, but the only issue we had was the low beams throughout the property - almost every member of our group smashed their head at least once! Other than needing a crash helmet, it was a good base for a weekend away

Property was well equipped and the owners kindly provided fans as the weather was unusually hot!! Great base to explore the local area.

What a stunning property, the view over the lake is breathtaking.

Very quiet and peaceful. Owner is friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We absolutely loved our time at Lake View and none of us wanted to go home.

Lake View Barn was wonderful.

We were there in the heat wave so were able to take advantage of sitting outside using the BBQ and seating. The hot tub was also used often. The wildlife around the lake was great, seeing a resident Crane, ducks and two geese and their 4 babies. There are loads of places to visit around the area. The Barn itself was comfortable clean and had every thing you could need.

Absolutely loved this place the pictures don't do it justice, super clean and has literally everything you can ever need, great location lots of places a short drive away.

Great accommodation, very clean, comfortable & well equipped.

The massive sofa and games were great for an evening of fun & relaxing, as was the hot tub which was frequently maintained. Great location for exploring the north of the Peaks such as Mam Tor.

Lovely cottage in a lovely setting.

Everything you need for a getaway. Very clean , great showers. Would have given five stars but for us the settee was very low and I struggled getting on and off, perhaps adding a couple of chairs that are easier to get out of for the older generation would be a benefit. All the adults in the party felt that some of the pillows needed replacing as they have lost there bounce and some are very flat. A step to get in the jacuzzi would be helpful as I couldn’t get in without it. It would be helpful if the key instructions to the gate confirmed that you key in the number and then press enter, also it is very difficult to read what’s on the buttons. We really enjoyed our stay it is an ideal base for visiting Cheshire and Manchester.

Great stay at Lake View Barn.

Lovely homely accommodation. Tastefully renovated with modern facilities and very private. We were taking our grandchildren to Lapland UK and it was only a 10 minute drive away. Local shops and restaurants also close by. Owners were friendly and very helpful. Definitely recommend this accommodation.

Beautiful accommodation.

The barn is cosy, clean and well presented, with plenty of amenities and plenty of space. We had a group of 6 and had no problem getting everyone together, whether in the lounge, kitchen or garden. Comfortable beds, well equipped bathrooms and a hot tub too! Hosts were easy to communicate with and I found them to be helpful, supportive and friendly. Overall a 10/10 for us. Amazing memories were made at this barn.

The house was amazing.

We were well catered for in regard to the kitchen and facilities. Showers were great! Kids loved the pool table and hot tub. Centrally located and quiet Clean and comfortable, and could have stayed longer Really lovely place and would definitely stay again and would recommend

We loved our week stay at the converted barn.

We had 4 adults a 14 year old and a 10 year old. My sons wouldn’t share a bed so my youngest used the chair bed/sofabed. The place was immaculate. Plenty of space and a lovely kitchen dining room. The kitchen had everything you could need. The saucepans were all good (we’ve been to places where everything looks a bit grubby) but these were all clean and in good condition. There was mention of road noise as it is near a road but we never found it an issue, I didn’t even notice it. The location is great, we visited Manchester, Liverpool and other parts of Cheshire. It was a fab place to stay and we would want to go again.

Last weekend, we celebrated our daughter's wedding and used the barn as a base which was near to the venue.

Wow! what a stunning place this barn is and it didn't disappoint in any way. It was just what we wanted and was instrumental in making the day perfect. From the facilities provided in the barn to the surroundings outside ..... Perfect. The hosts were on hand with whatever queries we had. All rooms were equipped with everything we needed and more, all of high quality, without having to ask (even down to the Welcome sign in the entrance lobby

This is a venue that does not disappoint.

All that we needed for a comfortable time was provided, so well done for the owners. The location and views were excellent. We will be returning next year. Susan and Party

We loved our stay at Lake View barn it's a Fantastic, Comfortable very relaxing place to stay.

The pictures on Sykes don't do it justice ,It's very very spacious and was very clean on arrival. Fishing was great ,Catch roach all day on Maggot, Loads of Carp as well ,we all had a great time chilling in the garden and fishing. Games room and hot tub also great and would highly recommend. Everything was available in the Barn and has obviously been well thought through by the owners .Beds very comfortable and wouldn't hesitate to return in the future.

Absolutely brilliant!

!!, came for my 50th birthday and it was everything I could of asked for. Mel was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property. Super clean, everything you could want and really comfortable. And for anyone due to stay it's the black dial on the hot tub, (turn it anti clockwise,)that makes it SUPER bubbly!!!!..Thanks Mel, I had a wonderful time!!!

A lovely place to stay.

We were very impressed with Lake View Barn.

All the facilities were very modern and being by the lake was very peaceful. All bedrooms were a good size and the pictures don’t do it justice. Would definitely recommend staying here. There’s also a nice pub a short walk away about a 15-20 minute walk away.

A modern spacious interior to a converted barn that overlooks a picturesque lake.

Private garden space with hot-tub and barbecue. Games room with additional fridge, sink and storage, with a fancy chess set, mini games table (pool/table football and air-hockey) and additional outdoor games in the cupboard, 3 double rooms comfortably accommodated us as 3 couples, with one bedroom having its own en-suite facilities, and the other two sharing an en-suite. A sofa-bed is in the main living room so can accommodate one or two more guests comfortably if you need to, a separate toilet room is also present if you need it. Care and communication was brilliant. We managed to time our stay with a heatwave and I was pleasantly surprised to receive a message checking if we had found the fans to help maintain our comfort levels in the heat. It’s a short drive to nearby shops and whilst it’s close to a main road, we barely noticed any noise from passing vehicles. The local wildlife kept us entertained, with visits from a heron, ducks and their ducklings, fish in the lake and even little tiny frogs on the lake-bank. We visited some of the local attractions - our main reason for travelling to the area was to experience the Crystal Maze, but we also did the Pac-Man experience, dined at a Mediterranean restaurant in nearby Leek and took part in their pub quiz, and visited the Telford Centre for a shopping experience. There’s lots to do in the area that’s only a short drive away. We had everything we needed and more at the barn and would strongly recommend this for your stay. We have already talked about coming back for our next stay in the north. Will definitely return if we can.

We celebrated a friend’s birthday and stayed for 2 nights we wished we had booked it for longer.

It Was a beautiful barn with stunning scenery with every amenity.

Absolutely fantastic barn.

Set in a beautiful relaxing location but within driving distance of several National Trust properties. The inside of the barn was tastefully decorated and had loads of room. The kitchen was fully equipped and had everything we needed to self cater. We loved the hot tub after our days out and were lucky with the weather to take advantage of the outside furniture. It was lovely to watch the carp in the pond as well. Would highly recommend the barn and hope to return next year

I don't think the pictures do this property any justice.

Lots of additional items which actually went above and beyond. Like the waterproof speaker for when outside in hot tub. The fridges makes ice. I know it seems small but it was great having that. It was so peaceful and amazing to have the whole private area. Mel reached out to ensure we didn't need anything which was lovely of her. Really wish we could stay longer so will come back for a week next time. We popped to Chester Zoo for the day which is an hours drive away. Really can't fault anything. Can't wait to return.

It would be good to point out that this property has low ceilings, we had to duck most of the time.

We are a tall family. The hot tub was good but did not produce many bubbles. We were expecting a full size pool table and it was actually a miniature one and only suitable for children. However we had a brilliant stay and would thoroughly recommend. The owners have obviously worked very hard to make this a great stay.

Me and my friends recently visited Pale Farm for my 30th birthday and we had the most amazing weekend, the barn itself was absolutely beautiful with amazing views and so peaceful.

We didn’t want to leave!!! The owners were also so friendly and helped us with everything we needed ☺️ we definitely will be back! And will be recommending to friends. Thank you again for the most gorgeous weekend and making my birthday very special! ☺️ x

We have just returned from an amazing weeks stay at Lakeview barn.

We could not of enjoyed the barn more - it was fantastic. Very clean, comfortable and very well spec'd with everything we needed. It has some great modern features too which enhance the stay and experiance too. Its an ideal place to unwind and relax but situated in a perfect place to explore. The pictures whilst making it look good do not do the property justice! Its brilliant and we certainly hope to return soon.

What a beautiful, clean and inviting property.

We felt welcome from the off, with lights prelit and a bottle of bubbles in the fridge waiting for us. The location is perfect for a relaxing break. We absolutely loved our time at Lake View Barn.

From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a warm and extremely clean interior.

It was made even more special with the Christmas tree and decorations. The hot tub, games room, various board games, library of books, high speed WiFi, huge TV with the different streaming platforms to log in were all in situ for everyone to enjoy. The barn is situated close to local pubs and shops, with National Trust walks and beautiful parks all in close proximity. We will definitely book again.

I felt it was a wonderful property and my wife and I even got design tips from the host.

Mel was very approachable and helped us in every way possible. Everything was well laid out and worked to perfection.

We appreciated the useful information on arrival regarding where to go in the area. Overall a lovely long weekend, we will definitely return.

The property was really lovely and perfect for our family group.

Everything was spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and attractive. It had all the gadgets you could possibly need and lots of extra touches like note pad and pens, lots of board games and reading books. We loved playing pool and the fishing lake was fantastic as was the hot tub. Parking was easy and the nearby village provided a handy shop, petrol station and fish and chips takeaway. The only negative was the traffic noise, being next to a busy road, but this was not a problem for us. We had a wonderful week!

Just spent three nights at the Barn to celebrate my birthday with my husband and two adult children.

The Barn is absolutely stunning, the photographs on the listing, although nice, really don't do justice to what you are getting. The Barn is immaculately clean throughout, there is nothing that has not been thought of to make the stay perfect. The owners are on hand if needed but there is nothing that you need them for as it is perfect. The hot tub is maintained daily to ensure it is ready for use, and it is perfect to sit in and watch the sunset. The lake and the wildlife that can be seen day and night is stunning. Would highly recommend the barn and would love to return and visit again. Thankyou so much x

We’ve just returned from a fabulous stay.

What a find! Lovely setting by the lake watching the fish, the birds and the wildlife, lovely sunsets and views across the lake. The owners are on hand and are happy to help with anything, lovely, friendly and welcoming with their 3 dogs! The barn conversion is stunning, very well converted with as many original features as possible. The place is immaculately clean, the beautiful kitchen is equipped with everything you could think of. The three bedrooms are lovely, bright and airy with comfy beds, exceptionally clean. The hot tub is a lovely bonus and great in the evenings. We also used the wood fire pit and the BBQ, the electric fire pit is also available if you want to buy the gas for it nearby. The games room is a nice bonus, ideal for older children and teenagers, lots of outdoor games equipment too, even a tennis court! The outdoor seating area is lovely and we had lovely sunshine all weekend, the only thing missing was a parasol. The only negative is the nearby road noise but that can't be helped. This is the perfect place for a family get together. We shall certainly be returning, thank you for an amazing stay!

Family if 5. Hands down the best place we ever stayed. The place was immaculate. So beautiful. Lots to do and lots of space. We Could not have booked a better place to stay. Mel was extremely helpful with anything we needed. So friendly. The kids loved the hot tub and watching the fish in the lake. It really has everything you need. The beds were so comfortable and a huge kitchen space. We had an amazing time there wish we had of booked longer. We will 100% be back.
