We had a wonderful stay!

The hosts were thoughtful, helpful and friendly throughout, making us feel very welcome. The surroundings are beautiful, and the cottage itself was comfortable, cosy and clean. As we stayed for a longer period, we especially appreciated having access to a washing machine and dryer, which made everything so much easier. We’d happily stay again. Thank you Amanda and David!

This is the third time we have visited David and Amanda’s lovely cottage.

Very handy for Chester and surrounding areas. The hosts are very welcoming and provide lots of information regarding where to eat and visit. Will continue to use this cottage in the future. Bobby and Ann Parker.

A peaceful cottage on the outskirts of Tarporley and within easy driving (or bus) distance to Chester and beyond!

The cottage was so comfortable and to our taste. Well equipped and warm. The rural location means you need to be prepared for rural outdoor smells too! The only disappointment was that the local 'pub' within walking distance, is not really a pub but now a Thai restaurant but there are other traditional pubs within driving distance.

Lovely accommodation, very comfortable, great location, friendly and welcoming hosts.

A lovely property and the owners were very welcoming and helpful with information such as a bus route almost on the doorstep.

We were very comfortable the bed was lovely and an excellent shower. A lovely lawn and very private. Would definitely recommend this property and would book it again if we ever decide to return to Cheshire.

Your holiday cottage was perfect for us and our two little daughters. It is perfectly located for exploring Cheshire and we had great days out at Chester zoo, the ice cream farm and bewilderwood. The kids really enjoyed playing in the garden and looking at the llamas.

Relaxing stay in this lovely peaceful cottage.

Close to Chester & Tarporley. The weather wasn't kind to us but we were warm & comfortable in the cottage. Very helpful owners. Nothing was too much trouble.

A beautiful place done to a high standard and very clean, with lovely surroundings.

An ideal spot as lots of things to do nearby but just far enough out to be able to feel relaxed at the same time. We’ve had a brilliant few days and will be returning in the future. Owners are very helpful and friendly too, lovely people. This was our first break away as a family and we definitely made the right choice booking here! Thank you for having us :)

It is a lovely cottage, shame the weather wasn't nicer so we could enjoy the huge garden and BBQ!

Very peaceful and quiet and the owners were extremely helpful and lovely! A slightly bigger sofa would be much appreciated, or a small arm chair. I appreciate that might be difficult with the size of the front room though! Some of the kitchen utensils could do we replacing, but we had everything we needed. The shower was amazing! I highly recommend this cottage, one of the nicest ones we've stayed in. The Goshawk pub, about 15 minutes away was lovely and anyone with young kids should go to the Ice cream farm which isn't far away either!

Very comfortable, fully equipped cottage.

Ideally located for exploring Cheshire and North Wales. Hosts are very friendly but not intrusive. Nearby Tarporley provides everything you need - shops, pubs and restaurants.

We had a great week away at Well View Cottage.

It’s a great spot for a couple, or in our case a family with two younger children (6 and 11). The kids loved their upstairs bedroom area as well as the lovely garden. There’s plenty to do in the local area and the owners were really friendly and welcoming, being on hand to help with anything needed.

The property was great and the surrounding was so peaceful, just what we needed! Everything was clean, and we had everything we needed for a long weekend. My son loved the cottage and did not want to leave. We will be booking again. My only wish is for a second adult bedroom so I could bring my daughter and husband! Thank you for everything. The cottage is very modern clean and comfortable.

Very nice spacious rooms, lots of equipment, kitchen utensils, towels and toiletries. We really appreciated the little touches like welcome bottle of wine, biscuits and sweets. Thanks very much for lending us space in the freezer. The TV could perhaps be mounted on a movable bracket so it can be positioned facing seating areas. Location is lovely and peaceful and great for getting out for shopping, bars and restaurants. Very handy being so close to buses to local towns. Thanks very much to David and Amanda for the hospitality. Lovely, friendly hosts who are genuinely interested in their guests having a great stay.

As my prolonged stay continues so my feedback reaches the ‘excellent plus’ category.

In addition to my recent feedback I am privileged to be here as the Spring unfolds all around the property. This very comfortable accommodation stands in outstandingly beautiful grounds.

We have found our perfect property to visit the area around Chester.

The cottage was excellent and the owners very friendly. Everything about the cottage was first class. We had one small problem with the water but it was addressed immediately by the owners. Will definitely return. Bobby and Ann Parker from Carlisle.

We would like to thank David and Amanda for letting us have such an amazing week at their cottage.

Our kids and us really loved it. The location was perfect, the good wifi let us do some home-office work, the facilities were all their, even washing machine and dryer, and the lovely views and big garden let our kids run around and enjoy themselves and see the llamas in the field at the back. We will definitely go back!! and of course, highly recommend it to our friends in Belgium and Argentina.

Had a lovely stay at Well View Cottage, cottage is beautiful with lovely grounds and equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable.

Amanda and Dave are on hand if needed and there is a local pub 5 minutes away. Would definitely recommend to family and friends and would love to return.

Well-equipped, quiet, clean. The ideal spot to explore Cheshire. The hosts were incredibly helpful when called upon. We had a wonderful week. Highly recommended.

Lovely comfortable cottage in a relaxing location.

Had everything that we needed. Friendly property owners. Great for sightseeing around Cheshire and North Wales. Good places to eat and drink nearby.

Ideal base to explore Chester Zoo, Blue Planet, Chester, Delamere, Beeston Castle and much more.

Children (5 & 2) adored the snug bedroom on the mezzanine level and the generous garden! Owners are very friendly and inviting. Cottage had everything we could ask for and more!

Perfect little cottage for two.

Mixed feelings about this cottage.

It is well placed for visiting the local area and in a quiet location. The outside space is lovely and on a sunny evening you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings. However I feel the cleanliness could be improved, especially considering what we have learned from COVID. I am not a clean freak by any stretch of the imagination but for my own peace of mind found the need to clean work surfaces, kitchen cupboard handles, light switches. Towels and tea towels didn't smell fresh and bedding was stained. I appreciate it can be difficult to keep a shower cubicle clean but the grout and sealant were mouldy. A lot of surfaces were also covered in dust. These things would be remedied if cleaned between guests. It felt as if the bare minimum was done before the next guest arrived. All things considered it would probably mean I wouldn't return.

A lovely, relaxing, clean, warm and quiet base for us to explore the lovely surrounding area.

Very comfortable bed to sleep in after a tiring day exploring. Chester is beautiful and Liverpool easy to visit by train from Chester. We would love to return, in a different part of the year, to enjoy the lovely views from the cottage and patio facility. Hosts were very friendly indeed

Wonderful relaxing stay at a beautiful cottage.

Ideally situated and ideal for my wife and me. Had a great 4 day break being able to relax and recharge after a hectic year. The cottage was all lit up and the heating on when we arrived along with a complimentary bottle of bubbly. A really nice surprise. We met the owner a day or so later, she was really friendly and checked if everything was in order. The patio area is quite large and leading down the garden there is a lovely platform seating area with a stream running passed. Also the view includes some Lama/Alpacas ( not being experts we could not make our minds which model they are. We are considering returning in the summer time if only to sit on the platform deck in the evening with a glass of wine ( or maybe two) Thank you for giving us a lovely time.

We returned home today from our trip to Chester and loved staying in this beautiful cottage.

My two children (7 and 3) loved sleeping on the mezzanine level bedroom - it was like their own den! The cottage was perfect for us. It was equipped with everything you would need, clean, homely and beautifully decorated. The garden is just stunning with lots of space for the kids to run around and play. The llamas at the bottom of the garden were an added bonus and the kids loved them! Amanda and David were so friendly, they gave us a warm welcome and were great with the kids. They even gave them a treat for the long drive home which made their day. We were all sad to leave but will be back again soon. Thank you so much for making our week in Chester so lovely.

We had a fantastic week in Well View Cottage.

The cottage was clean and comfortable with everything that we needed for our stay. The outside space was perfect. This was our second time staying at the cottage and we can’t wait to return again!

Well View cottage is a beautiful place to stay.

It's set in the most delightful gardens with a small brook at the bottom. The inside was very nicely furnished with some nice little touches. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Surrounding area was lovely. Tarporley is well worth a visit with plenty of places to eat out. Would highly recommend this cottage and hope to return.

Well View Cottage is perfect for anyone looking for a place to escape from the hurley burley of life.

The double glass doors of this delightful cottage open out onto a patio where you can relax on the comfortable garden furniture whilst watching the llamas grazing in the adjacent field. The hosts are very friendly and approachable, we were given a warm welcome on arrival. Although the cottage is a haven of peace it is within easy access to lots of local attractions and beautiful scenery; Chester, Oulton Park, Delamere Forrest, various stately homes and museums. Would highly recommend this cottage and we would definitely book again!

Cottage was beautiful, well equipped.

Owners were lovely and helpful. Area very nice, just as expected. The only constructive feedback we have is that the at the property could have been more thorough (i.e ornaments had not been moved and cleaned under on side tables / window in bedroom, skirting boards needed cleaned, bathroom sink needed wiped round) but then I am a clean freak so my expectations are always high!

The setting was very peaceful but handy to travel to different places if you wanted to.

We had a brilliant week at Well View Cottage.

The cottage is modern & very comfortable. It was well equipped for a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 young children). The owners went out of their way to help with anything, including providing us with a Dyson fan and clothes airer as the weather was warm the week we were there. The location was perfect for us, we easily visited the beach 3 times, Chester zoo, the ice cream farm & had a day in Chester. We would definitely recommend Well View Cottage.

We stayed at well view for three nights and could not be happier with the cottage.

Everything you could possibly need is provided and the cottage itself is stunning not to mention the gorgeous views. We were greeted on arrival by the lovely owners and were advised of things to do in the area and the local bus routes. We would not recommend this cottage enough and will definitely be returning.

Lovely little cottage.

..warm and cosy. Our little boy liked his mezzanine bedroom...felt like a secret hide out! Good location, easy to get to main road links etc. Friendly welcome, but then left us with privacy. Great place to stay.

Excellent high quality accommodation.

One of the best (if not he best) cottages we have stayed in. Tarporley is a very nice town situated in the beautiful Cheshire country side. Try the "Old Fire Station Confectionary" for some super chocolate truffles. Lots of very good pub / restaurants in the surrounding area. Close to the Welsh border for those wishing to do some walking - The Loggerheads and Moel Famau ( south of Mold ) are worth a visit. Plenty to see and do even on a wet October day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Well View cottage.

The cottage is very spacious for two people and is beautifully decorated and well equipped. It is in a lovely rural setting. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor space which has a really lovely outdoor setting overlooking a neighbouring field with llamas, pheasants and rabbits. It’s a lovely place to sit and relax in the late afternoon. The cottage is also well situated for catching a local bus to Chester or Nantwich. And our hosts were absolutely delightful - friendly, helpful with lots of ideas of places to go and cafes, pubs etc to try. We’d thoroughly recommend Well View cottage.

Spacious rooms finished and furnished to a high standard. David and Amanda are excellent hosts and ensured that we had everything we needed for a restful holiday. Within easy reach of the main A roads to visit local attractions, such as Chester and Jodrell Bank, the cottage itself is peaceful and surrounded by fields and wildlife. Definitely recommended.

We really enjoyed our time at Well View cottage the cottage is well placed for getting around we visited Cheshire oaks a Hugh shopping village.

Tatton House And Lyme court ,both National Trust property’s And well worth a visit.We also visited Chester,and Chester Zoo is lovely go early as there is so much to see.The property was immaculate, and had everything we could have wished for,the owners we really helpful and made our trip to Well View cottage very enjoyable.

The cottage was excellent and is located in a very quiet area.

The owners are very friendly and helpful with providing information on local services. Easy access to Chester (8 miles and well worth a visit), several National Trust houses and gardens within an hour's drive. Chester zoo in 30 minutes, and we highly recommend Well View.

It was the most convenient and suitable location in the area and more car friendly than the others in the locality.

It is well placed to get anywhere around quickly so long as you don't try to go through Chester itself.

A really nice cottage and location handy to so many places to visit.

Many good eating places. Owner very helpful. Just two little things missing from the cottage is a shower mat and a shelve to put your shower gel on to make life easier for us oldies!
