"Great location, house had everything we needed and it was very clean and tidy."
Four stars only because heating was on a timer so was cold during the day if we were in and could also do with a lamp as it was either full bright ceiling lights or no lights. These are only minor points in general we had a lovely time lots of walks and parks near by and the local pub (The Talbot) is 5 Minutes away by car were the food and hospitality is fabulous.

"I would highly recommend this place, i dont have anything bad to say."
It had everything you needed e.g kitchen utensils etc could easily cook there if you wanted to. The place was spotless. The location well if you love the countryside, you'll love it here, amazing view and just so peaceful. You are out the way enough for it to be very quiet but only a short drive into a town. It was also great for the dog as plenty of fields. The owner was lovely (My partner was chatting away outside). He really does have a beautiful place and I will definitely be staying again. Thank you for a lovely stay

"Lovely views from a very comfortable, well maintained cottage that has everything needed for your stay."
In easy access of surrounding facilities and was a great base for us to visit family living close by over Xmas. Mike, the owner, is on hand should you need any help and it is obvious that he puts a lot of love into maintaining the cottage both inside and out. We have a very nervous collie dog who absolutely loved the peace and quiet of the paddock just on the doorstep. A great place that we hope to visit again in the near future.

"Lovely cottage in an amazing location , the views are spectacular
A few things we felt let it down
There is a washing machine but it was not connected to the water supply- we also had to crawl on our hands and knees to plug it in before we realized it was not working
No cleaning supplies supplied - I."
E no cloths to wash up , though washing up liquid was supplied!
Loose stair gate - we nearly fell down once
No welcome basket - would have been nice even to have some milk after such a long journey
No ironing board - though there is an iron !

"A lovely holiday accommodation with top quality fittings."
Comfortable, clean and quiet. Great views to the west. In fact we visited Jodrell Bank on our visit and then realised it’s visible on a clear day. Recommend Jodrell Bank for all ages. The Potteries Museum in Stoke was interesting and has a real Spitfire. If you are into aviation the visitor centre next to Manchester Airports runway is a must. Obviously loads of walks and other things to do. Make sure your car is in good condition lots of long climbs. Also beware of all the cameras and pot holes. All the people of Staffordshire from visitor locations to supermarkets we found were very friendly and helpful. My brother and I both said we’d had a good break.

"Amazing stay at Fern cottage."
Great location would recommend as it’s secluded enough so you have amazing views but also not too far away from some lovely towns. The cottage was really lovely, comfortable and had everything we needed. We have two young daughters and the owners were really accommodating by offering and fitting a stair gate. Cottage was really new and kitted out so had everything we needed- we would definitely like to stay again.

"Fern Cottage offers an exceptional holiday getaway."
It is decorated to a very high standard affording a very stylish and comfortable place to stay. The internal images really don’t do the cottage justice. The cottage itself is a true tranquil and stunning retreat, with probably one of the best vistas of the cheshire plains and Staffordshire moorlands you can get, and you can take it all in from ur very own private patio - the sunsets seen from the patio are absolutely stunning. The only drawback was that there was no outdoor furniture on the patio, I’m sure the owner who was also a great host will remedy that in the near future. Thanks for a wonderful stay

"We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at Fern Cottage."
It is a beautiful property with amazing views across the Cheshire Plain. The property itself is decorated to a high standard, with a lovely contemporary style. It is perfect for 2 - 4 guests and is very dog friendly. The spacious lounge/dining and kitchen area is well designed, comfortable and very well equipped. The owner lives nearby and was very welcoming and attentive and responded extremely promptly to any issues. Great location, handy for the Potteries, Biddulph, Congleton and the North West. Would highly recommend and we hope to return soon.
