  • "Lovely cottage in an amazing location , the views are spectacular A few things we felt let it down There is a washing machine but it was not connected to the water supply- we also had to crawl on our hands and knees to plug it in before we realized it was not working No cleaning supplies supplied - I."

E no cloths to wash up , though washing up liquid was supplied! Loose stair gate - we nearly fell down once No welcome basket - would have been nice even to have some milk after such a long journey No ironing board - though there is an iron !

  • "A lovely holiday accommodation with top quality fittings."

Comfortable, clean and quiet. Great views to the west. In fact we visited Jodrell Bank on our visit and then realised it’s visible on a clear day. Recommend Jodrell Bank for all ages. The Potteries Museum in Stoke was interesting and has a real Spitfire. If you are into aviation the visitor centre next to Manchester Airports runway is a must. Obviously loads of walks and other things to do. Make sure your car is in good condition lots of long climbs. Also beware of all the cameras and pot holes. All the people of Staffordshire from visitor locations to supermarkets we found were very friendly and helpful. My brother and I both said we’d had a good break.

  • "Amazing stay at Fern cottage."

Great location would recommend as it’s secluded enough so you have amazing views but also not too far away from some lovely towns. The cottage was really lovely, comfortable and had everything we needed. We have two young daughters and the owners were really accommodating by offering and fitting a stair gate. Cottage was really new and kitted out so had everything we needed- we would definitely like to stay again.

  • "Fern Cottage offers an exceptional holiday getaway."

It is decorated to a very high standard affording a very stylish and comfortable place to stay. The internal images really don’t do the cottage justice. The cottage itself is a true tranquil and stunning retreat, with probably one of the best vistas of the cheshire plains and Staffordshire moorlands you can get, and you can take it all in from ur very own private patio - the sunsets seen from the patio are absolutely stunning. The only drawback was that there was no outdoor furniture on the patio, I’m sure the owner who was also a great host will remedy that in the near future. Thanks for a wonderful stay

  • "We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at Fern Cottage."

It is a beautiful property with amazing views across the Cheshire Plain. The property itself is decorated to a high standard, with a lovely contemporary style. It is perfect for 2 - 4 guests and is very dog friendly. The spacious lounge/dining and kitchen area is well designed, comfortable and very well equipped. The owner lives nearby and was very welcoming and attentive and responded extremely promptly to any issues. Great location, handy for the Potteries, Biddulph, Congleton and the North West. Would highly recommend and we hope to return soon.
