Bargate Cottages are a pairing of beautiful, characterful terraced cottages resting in the charming village of Castleton, Derbyshire, well placed for exploring the Peak District National Park. Built by Henry II on a hilltop, Peveril Castle, is a ruined 11th century Norman castle overlooking the village, with a delightful picnic area and tons of history to discover inside. There is a railway station serving the Esk Valley and Whitby, which also links with the steam line to the attractive market town of Pickering.
