A lovely cottage situated in a beautiful village in the heart of the Peak District.
The owners provide all manner of thoughtful additions and gadgets to make one's stay comfortable, effortless and safe. Providing small torches in each bedroom for use in the event of an unlikely power cut was a case in point. There were plenty of interesting places to visit nearby and we had a great time exploring these. The attention to detail shown by the owners was definitely above and beyond normal expectations for a holiday cottage and we would be more than happy to book this charming cottage again for future visits.
Just back from a week at The Cottage.
Everything u could need and more. We didn't light the fire but the CH soon kicked in and made the cottage warm. Loved the whirlpool bath n bubbles. Bedrooms comfy and the ensuite, great. The cottage is in a good location for exploring the Peak District by car or just walking out the front door. The village of course has its own history. And it was great to have a Pub, The Miners, that does beer and good food just across the road. Barbara x
We loved our stay at 1 Lydgate Cottage.
We received a very warm welcome from the hosts. The cottage was perfect for all our needs and everything we needed was provided from a pint of milk/tea bags/ coffee/ sugar, cooking utensils/plates/bowls/mugs & glasses to basically anything you could possibly need while on holiday. The location is perfect, very central to all amenities in Eyam and close to surrounding attractions. Having a designated parking space was a massive bonus. We would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking to visit the area... 10 out of 10 from start to finish. Thank you to Peter and Sandra for making our holiday so easy and comfortable
