Located between the village of Whitely and the town of South Elmsall, The Old Bells is well situated for exploring.
As a space that used to be a pub that served the local community with its wide-open living spaces.
The Old Bells provides a perfect base to explore the local amenities and relax in style with six bedrooms for up to 18 guests and three well-behaved dogs.
Make the most of being together by watching a film in the stylishly appointed living area, with plenty of room to spread out and relax.
For those that enjoy being active, play a round or two of pool then hang out at the beautiful bar area or in one of the two hot tubs which you’ll find in the indoor spa room accessed via 3 steps from the pool room.
When you’re getting peckish, head to the well-appointed kitchen with two electric hobs and fully equipped with all you’ll need to cook up a feast for the whole family, which you can serve to all your guests in the inviting dining room that seats 18. After a busy day, you’ll find plenty of room to spread out and freshen up in any of the four double bedrooms, the twin room, or the family bedroom as well as spacious bathrooms to give you that special spa feeling.
Start the day with a coffee at the local Dainty Doris Coffee Shop, then explore the Campsall Country Park or the legendary Church of Saint Mary Magdalene or visit the high street to find a plethora of amenities including a Post Office, The Royal Hotel Pub and Indian takeaway, or take a short drive to experience some eateries and shops in the bustling town of Asken.
Pick up the pace a little with a visit to Brockadale Nature Reserve, or why not head to Doncaster for a day at the races?
For a fun-filled day with the family, Pontefract Castle offers a great dose of history and exploration, followed by a trip to sample the local produce at Doncaster Market.

We booked this for a short a trip for the 6 weeks holidays with adults and children.
We were not disappointed, very spacious settings, everything you needed to cook,clean, towels were also provided. We enjoyed 2 trips out as well as the field behind for big open spaces for the children. A pool table kept most occupied and the hot tubs. It was nice to be away from the busy life!
we stayed mon-Thursday as a group of 14 adults and children and really enjoyed our stay.
The place is huge and more than enough space for this amount of people. Lovely facilities and very cosy setting. Everything was great! Few pointers to make you aware there is no garden or outdoor space with this property so when bringing a dog like we did you do have to keep taking them for a walk to go to the bathroom regularly which was fine but didn’t realise this when booking. The hot tubs are great but only 2 of the seats are powerful with the jets the others are just slightly. Would also recommend bringing a oven glove if you are planning on cooking as myself and my partner did both burn our hands on the oven as the so hot and the handle also gets hot and the tea towels are too thin to use! But overall we had a lovely stay and we would return!
Beautiful accommodation.
Lovely surroundings and a nice place to stay for a family vacation. Absolutely loved. Would definitely book again. Had internet issues but meant spending time with family like good old days.
