Here you'll find a welcoming country pub, ideal for a leisurely lunch or evening meal, along with a village shop offering everyday essentials and locally baked treats.
Regular bus services to Bakewell and Tideswell also depart from the village centre, making it an excellent base for walkers and those wishing to explore the surrounding area.

Loved this cottage.
Warm and cozy. We had a bit of trouble getting the TV to work but that is because neither of us are very tech savvy. Apart from that, we completely loved it. I spent a couple of hours every day writing in the little summerhouse. It is a bit in the middle of nowhere, which some people might not like but we totally loved. I would love to return. xxx
Peak Dreams is an excellent cottage, clean, well equipped and decorated to a high standard.
We loved the Summer House, and watching the sunsets from it. We found the property comfortable and warm, and enjoyed the quiet location. There is a single track road to the property, but it has good visibility and enough passing places for it not to be an issue. The internal stairs are fairly narrow and steep as described, but are fine for those with reasonable mobility. There is a freezer which isn't mentioned on the listing, other facilities are as described. Mobile coverage was patchy, but the wifi worked well. Property is better suited for 2-3 adults, or a family of 3-4, as the second bedroom is fairly small. Walking books and an OS map were provided, along with information about the local area and attractions. There is easy access to the Monsal Trail for walking, though be prepared for the steep climb back to the cottage at the end of the walk! All in all, a great property, would recommend :)
