The Old Pump House

We found the old pump house to be much bigger than it looks on the pictures, the outdoor space is huge with plenty of space inside to move about in.

We didnt use the kitchen appliances as we ate out both days however there is a huge fridge freezer, plenty of cupboard space and plenty of cutlery and glassware. We had 11 people stay, however i feel it could definitely fit more! The hot tub was great. Very clean which Gary came out to service and clean throughout the weekend. Gary sent through many eaterys which are accessible by foot or car, we had a couple of morning walks through the woodlands which was lovely. Morrisons is a 10 minute drive away with a town centre being close by for other shops needed. The house has a huge well in the middle of it which is covered by tempered glass, there is information about this well in the guest book but was a great feature! Absolutely loved staying here with the weather which made it beautiful to be inside and outside! We played many of the supplied games which kept us well occupied!

Beautifully presented and spacious property which was ideal for hosting a friends get-together.

Located in beautiful, quiet countryside but with easy access to Nottingham via train or park and ride, so great for a day at the cricket in our case. The garden is particularly good with a large, flat lawn area perfect for ball games, a generous patio with lots of outdoor seating, and a clean, well maintained hot tub. For anyone planning a large family/friends gathering in the Nottingham area this property is excellent.

We were absolutely blown away by this property when we arrived, it was exactly as seen on the pictures.

It was equipped amazingly, every little detail was to the very highest standard. The beds are the comfiest we have had, interior design and attention to detail was on point. Hot tub and view, just beautiful. What a great weekend we all had, best decision ever. Host was super helpful and always available.

The accommodation is stunning and the kitchen has everything we could've needed.

The decor and maintenance is immaculate and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a cute little welcome basket of chocolates and biscuits waiting for us which was very nice. The host Gary was in contact with me and answered all my questions before hand. I can not express how amazing our stay was and we are looking forward to booking again.

The property is absolutely fabulous, very spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated with a modern feel. It’s also incredibly well equipped with everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable. Parking was no issue at all. We had four cars between us and there was still plenty of space, which was really convenient. We were warmly welcomed with a very generous basket on arrival, and it was a lovely touch to find milk, juice, and prosecco waiting for us in the fridge. The hot tub was definitely a highlight—perfect for relaxing tired legs after a day of walking and sightseeing. The only very minor issue was the track leading from the road to the property, which has some quite large potholes and made for a bumpy drive. That said, Gary had already warned us about it, so we knew what to expect. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend The Old Pump House to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing getaway!

The old pump house was absolutely gorgeous, everyone loved it including the aesthetics of the house.

Gary and team are brilliant hosts making sure that we had all the relevant information needed for the weekend. But also just making sure the house had all the essentials which made it a home away from home. Would definitely recommend to others and even come back in the summer.

A fantastic stay, in a unique property, in a great setting. The house was decorated beautifully for Christmas, and we wanted for nothing.Our party of 8 adults, 3 children and a baby, ranged in age from 7 months to 82 years. Thank you Gary and team for all your support. Happy memories.

House was beautiful with stunning views… had a fab wkend and had a very warm and cosy feel to it with the main attraction of the well in the middle of the hall way which had us all amazed…!

Your house is comfortably and tastefully furnished, all bedrooms and living rooms so spacious and beautiful. The pictures on the website don't do justice - in reality the bathrooms, kitchen and lounging areas (inside and out) are all stunning and immaculate. Extremely organized and neat, fabulous hot tub and to top it off who heard of a host providing outdoor toys for the kids!! Gary you are superb and we hope to be lucky enough to be back!

Wonderful stay for our annual family break, the property is very well maintained- great amenities and extremely clean.

Nice outdoor seating with hot tub where we spent a lot of time. Our only minor snag- while the velux windows look great in the bedrooms, we found it a little too bright in the mornings (difficult with a young baby) But overall really enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend to others

Beautiful home with everything we needed, something for every one of our group, whether they wanted to relax and take it easy or jump in the jacuzzi and spend time playing games outside. Kitchen and bathroom facilities perfect Plenty of car parking spaces Barbeque was spot on Outside seating area + Jacuuzi perfect Well/Old pump in the middle of the home a real surprise, everyone loved this feature. A few suggestions would be: Maybe some extra outdoor games? Badminton, frisbees, volleyball set? Pool table somewhere? Apologies for taking your boules set

We’ve just returned from the most wonderful break away at The Old Pump House.

The place is stunning, high spec throughout and all the comforts you could need too. The Well in the centre of the home was the most interesting beautiful feature (I was kind of obsessed with it!). Gary the owner was amazing and so helpful from start to finish, and so accommodating in helping with any changes needed to make the stay more accessible for my son who is a wheelchair user. The hot tub was fab and maintained during our stay. The surroundings were stunning with the horses in the fields around us. We loved being away from everything, playing games outside with the kids and relaxing. Close enough to jump in the car to shops too. Love love love! Thank you Gary & we’ll hopefully be back soon!

Communication with the owner was smooth and easy from the start, which made everything stress-free. The property itself is beautifully maintained, and the high-end appliances made cooking and using the kitchen a breeze during our group dinners. We loved the peaceful setting, surrounded by fields, which gave us a great sense of privacy. The hot tub was a perfect touch for relaxing evenings, and there was plenty of space for all our cars. The set of boules provided added a fun and unexpected highlight to our trip! We would absolutely stay here again - thank you once again for a lovely experience.

A perfect property for a family/group gathering.

This property offers everything required for a really enjoyable time away. It is well appointed and is finished to a very high spec. Can thoroughly recommend and can’t praise it enough. I’ve just had the most perfect 70th birthday celebration with family. It helps that Gary the owner is close by to help with any issue too.

We had a lovely weekend stay in the property as a group of girls, it was a wonderful and cosy home with seamless communication from the owner, Gary.

We had an amazing family get-together at The Pump House.

The house itself is exceptionally clean, spacious, beautifully decorated, and fully furnished. The building’s rich historical background adds a special charm to the experience. We were also fortunate with the weather, which allowed us to enjoy the lovely garden outside. Gary was incredibly helpful and responsive. When we needed handwash in the kitchen and had an issue with one of the window blinds, he came over immediately and sorted everything out efficiently. The property’s location near the train track and the sight of horses grazing in nearby fields made our stay even more memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return! We are a group of 12 friends who have spent a weekend in a beautiful home. Every thing we needed was there, everything was great quality and there was nothing missing. Space to share together as a group. Or space to have a quiet 10 minutes. I can not reccomend enough.

We have just had a lovely stay at The Old Pump House.

The owner, Gary, was very responsive and helpful - I emailed about there being a BBQ and he immediately provided us with one despite me having said we'd provide our own. You can tell that no expense has been spared regarding the renovation - everything was clean and the fixtures and fittings were lovely - and with so many guests (some coming for just the Sunday as it was Easter weekend), the ability to cook on the BBQ and also to have the luxury of two ovens...it made life easy! We were fortunate that the weather was good enough on Sunday for us all to be outside and the garden was a delight - particularly considering we had a large family gathering with many children - all of whom were keen to do our annual Easter Egg hunt, games and races. We had lots of fun and will be looking to book again later in the year. Thanks to Gary and team!
