Formerly known for its iron workings and glass manufacturing, the town is very popular with tourists and provides a gateway into the Cannock Chase AONB, where you can visit the stately home of the National Trust's Shugborough Estate, enjoy an adventure day out, swinging through the treetops at at Go Ape Channock, plus enjoy a multitude of stunning walking and cycling trails, as well as many outdoor activities through forest, parkland and elevated heaths.

Join the Staffordshire Way, which spans the length of the county for 92 miles and even links to the Cheshire Gritstone Trail, the Heart of England Way and the North Worcestershire Path and enjoy walking by the water at nearby Blithfield Reservoir.

The town of Stafford is slightly further afield, with excellent shopping and dining out opportunities, as well as a timber-framed, Tudor museum and 900-year-old castle.

  • “This was the first break we have had since getting Daisy ( now 9 months old).”

The accommodation is situated in a quiet lane in Abbots Bromley. The owners supply bedding, towels ( even one for the dog). When we arrived there was milk in the fridge and a lovely box of biscuits for the humans and some for the dog. There was also a supply of tea, coffee and sugar.

The bed was a bit soft but apart from that everything was spotlessly clean providing the guests with lovely place to stay. Thank you.
