When we arrived this cottage was dirty the settee was covered in dogs hairs which we had to clean 2 blankets were covered in dogs hairs saucepans we had to scrub where they were dirty dust on the TV stand must have been on there for months the house was freezing cold sykes need to check this cottage as it is not fit to stay in we are not the only guest to complain about this cottage damp down a wall going into electric plugs which could cause a fire
Great location in Ironbridge and comfortable cottage, heating system was working well.
The beds were comfortable. However there was no property information, couldn't find any outside refuse bins to dispose of rubbish and recycling so had to remain in the kitchen for the week. The property hadn't been cleaned downstairs, mud, hair and food on floors. Surfaces not dusted or wiped clean. Could do with a clothes airer and new pans/baking trays. We would stay again if the above improved.
Would not recommend, from the minute we arrived at a very busy time on a very busy main road with no on street parking available at the time, there was no indication of where the off street parking for the cottage is, on guessing where it could possibly be there was already a car parked there.
The downstairs wasn't particularly clean and there is sparse furniture and furnishings, it was chilly of a morning and of a night and the heating thermostat was not connected. There is no information or instruction booklet for the cottage and no brush or vacum for ongoing cleaning. There is no real suitable outdoor area and there was a number of other unsuitable matters which when all added together made it very disappointing stay and we came home early. Pluses, It is in a very good location and the upstairs was clean. We have been to a number of other cottages which have been to the expected standard and felt comfortable and homely. If brought up to standard and maintained this has the potential to be a really nice place.
