This stunning detached stone-built cottage is situated amongst 37 acres of woodland on the outskirts of the small village of Bolsterstone near Stocksbridge, on the edge of the Peak District National Park.

Beautifully decorated and furnished throughout to create a wonderful warm and welcoming environment, this lovely cottage is perfect for families or friends looking to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, yet it is only two miles away from the vibrant town of Stocksbridge.

Converted to a high standard, the accommodation is set mostly over the ground floor and comprises an open plan living area with a beautiful well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, dining area and comfortable sitting area.

The ground floor also includes two bedrooms; a king-size double which benefits from a spacious en-suite bathroom with a feature roll-top bath, and a second double, as well as a modern shower room.

A quirky spiral staircase leads to a lovely twin mezzanine bedroom which has the added benefit of having an en-suite basin and WC.

This property does have a beautiful Shepherd's Hut in its garden that can be used in conjunction with the cottage to accommodate two extra guests in a full-size double bed, plus it has its own shower room, toilet and tea/coffee making facilities for that early morning cuppa.

Outside the cottage there is a large terrace with beautiful countryside views and a fantastic electric jacuzzi & sauna just perfect for relaxing in after a busy day out and about.

It also has the benefit of use of your own private wood-fired pizza oven and charcoal barbecue.

The small village of Bolsterstone, is just a 10-15 minute walk away and benefits from a local pub should you fancy a night off from cooking, and nearby Stocksbridge also has a number of shops and pubs.

From this beautiful cottage you can access the Peak District National Park for long rambles across breathtaking open countryside, sample some of the country's grandest stately homes by visiting Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, or you may wish to indulge in some retail therapy at the nearby Fox Valley shopping centre or Meadowhall Retail Park in Sheffield with its 230 shops and 50 places to eat and drink.

About the location

BOLSTERSTONE / EWDEN VILLAGE

Stocksbridge 1.5 miles; Sheffield 9 miles; Holmfirth 13 miles.

The village of Bolsterstone stands between the Stocksbridge and Ewden Valley, on the border of the Peak District National Park and is one of the last remaining hill villages in the Sheffield area. The village boasts a 170 year old country pub, the Castle Inn, and is also home to the Bolsterstone Male Voice Choir which was formed in 1934 and is still going strong today. Ewden was recent host to the Tour de Yorkshire boasting its climb Cote de Ewden. Just 1.5 miles away is the busy little town of Stocksbridge which holds a variety of eateries and shops, together with many bridleways and footpaths for visitors to discover. Nearby, the Broomhead and Langsett dams make for interesting afternoon rambles, whilst the ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ country of Holmfirth is within easy reach. There is easy access to the Peak District for longer walks, mountain biking and all the attractions of Hathersage, Edale and the impressive Ladybower Dam, whilst the proximity to the M1 means Sheffield, Leeds, York and the rest of Yorkshire’s beautiful scenery are easily accessible.
