  • "We had the most wonderful time and met the owners, who were very friendly and accommodating ."

    Not by way of criticism, but rather a practical suggestion. As we were a family, with children, we would have benefited by having a larger fridge. Also, a more substantial vacuumed cleaner could be considered, especially for keeping on top of having a fury friend staying. All in all, a great place to stay and we are already considering a return visit. Thank you!!

As you enter into this attractive abode, be greeted by a bright and spacious hallway, where you can leave your coats to hang and place your mud-splattered boots on the rack, before continuing through to the inviting sitting room.

Allow yourself to fall onto one of the gorgeous blue velvet sofas and unwind with some of your favourite shows on the impressive TV, or cross the beautiful wood effect cyramic tiled floor over to the stylish white-gloss kitchen and prepare a tasty home-cooked meal for the whole family to enjoy whilst gathered at the contemporary dining table.

Freshen up in the handy ground-floor cloakroom, or continue up the staircase to the first floor and discover a bright bathroom with wall-to-floor tiling and a roomy bath with overhead shower, together providing a wonderful space to escape the excitement as you indulge in a long afternoon soak.

The town of Stocksbridge is perfectly situated to the North Eastern edge of the picturesque Peak District National Park. This busy little town holds a variety of eateries and shops, together with many bridleways and footpaths for visitors to discover. Nearby, the Underbank, Langsett, Broomhead and Moorhall dams make for interesting afternoon rambles, whilst the ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ country of Holmfirth is within easy reach. There is easy access to the Peak District for longer walks, mountain biking and all the attractions of Hathersage, Bakewell, Edale and the impressive Ladybower Dam, whilst the proximity to the M1 means Sheffield, Leeds, York and the rest of Yorkshire’s beautiful scenery are easily accessible.
